@justinncoviello Obama had to deal with the recession and deeply deficient economy which was created by Bush. Bush's tax reliefs for the rich didn't boost the economy and he started two massive wars. Bush also increased public spending. The economy was fine before Bush, thanks to Clinton. We can just hope that the next republican president won't make the same mistakes as Bush (Obamas chances are thin). Cutting taxes for ideological reasons is not rational in this economic situation.
