  • i myself happen to be a US submariner, and i can tell you right now, thats not american.

  • @Navy0313 Do you think the USA has the best Subs in the world?

  • It it were american the person filming would have been vaporized by this point.

  • That looks a lot like the suez canal. i doubt they allow dived submarines to transit. not to mention thats a french boat.

  • Ya.. fix the name of the vid this is not at all a American sub

  • For the first few seconds I thought the sonar mast on the bow was an open hatch.

Allmost jumped through my screen :)

  • The looks like the suez canal. i bet its too shallow to transit dived.

  • That is not a us sub.

  • Not American like PP said... My husband is a USN submariner(5 yrs on a fast attack).. I've heard a lot of things from him.. Wouldn't be seen if it were American like previous posters said.

  • Not American! If USN was on a secret mission, THEY WOULD NOT BE SEEN!!!!

  • This is not an USS submarine, it is a french rubis(Améthyste) class submarine of the mediteranean fleet based in Toulon or Brest.

I'm French and i know my submarines.

  • definitely not american lol

  • Im sure the US navy would accidently surface a secret sub so everyone with camera phones could film it and put it on youtube....

    /sarcasm

  • joke....not American

  • Not Yank, French

  • if it was secret im sure the sub would b underwater

  • Not a US Sub

  • if it was what u say it was u would be shot and ur whole family

  • Thats not an american submarine. Get your facts straight.

  • did iraq even have a navy? adn if they did did our subs eat them?

  • the more improved american subs that they would of used for this type of operation if it was secret would of been alot larger than that if it was a modern plus that looks older and eroperan not american

  • For those of you who think this is a US Boat, please submit the class of submarine you believe it to be. This can be done on a Form ID-10-Tango available from your closet check-valve locker!!!!

  • French Amethyste

You can tell by the foul smell coming from 73 unwashed frog bodies.

  • That is not an American Nuke. If anything it is footage of an OLD USS Barbel class which are diesel/electric and ALL retired around 1990.

The current classes of American Nuclear subs are the Improved Los Angles SSN-688 (688I's), the USS Seawolf SSN-21, and the USS Virginia (SSN-774). Every on of these classes have silouttes that are longer and leaner the sub pictured here!

  • A Nuclear Submarine on a secret mission would NEVER surface, unless it was either a double-bluff, or it was a decoy.

'Nukes, as their crews call them, have the supply capacity and oxygen generation capability stay submerged for at least a MONTH on end --- that, and no Sub Captains are as dense as the title of this video suggests.

  • Nukes are personnel not Boats!!! LMAO! The Boat is just The Boat!

  • seawarrior98,

"Nukes are personnel not Boats!!! LMAO! The Boat is just The Boat!"

Roger that, seawarrior98, although I would have been more inclined to believe that the WARHEADS on board would be called 'Nukes!

    ;-)

  • nay mate they wernt goin on some secret misssion didnt u see the golf course in da back ground they were just havein a round and then did u see the water skiers geting toed behind the sub lol

  • My two year old has a "sub" that he plays with in the tub. It must be an American sub on its' way to Iraq.

  • haha, secret while surfaced...

  • starbuck is right... that's not an american sub...

    --Mike

  • agreed. transiting the Suez is in no way a secret evolution. in fact the Egyptian military knows about it and provides security

  • LOL secret asif would be surfaced

  • You think it's a secret mission? I doubt it's standard operating procedure to "secretly" pass through the Suez Canal in broad daylight.

  • I thought it looked like a British Swiftsure-class boat, but I'm no expert.

  • It's not American, it's a French Rubis / Amethyste. Look at the back of the sail and the shape of the rudder.
