@ninja6kid The filter quiets down the exiting charge and also makes sure no dirt enters the engine while the valve is open (if the conditions are right, air can enter through the valve). The Bosch valve is small, inexpensive and works great, but any BOV can be used (there is currently an HKS SSQV on this very bike which is ear-piercingly loud).
@ninja6kid The kit is a bolt-on. Use your head while riding and you won't have any trouble. I can't possibly say that no damage will occur if you decide to do land speed style riding with pump gas and stock internals. I can say that the bike in the video was tuned and dynoed using only 93 octane pump gas, though.
Do you ship to canada? This is exactly what my 04 zx10 needs, I was becoming way too used to the responce I get when I crack the throttle! Great work, just really awesome to see an amazing thing like this for my bike. You truely have alot of skill and style! Thank you
@jameslove6 Thanks. We do ship to Canada, but unfortunately are out of 10R kits at the moment. No idea when (or if) another production will be made...
@ A&Aperformance Thanks for the reply much appreciated. I just ordered a full sato system with the 450gp canister this past saturday. I was afraid it might look awkward having the 450, from this video i might be doing a canister swap..looks and sounds awesome. Once again thanks.
i would love to see the prospects of a kit like that for a sport Vtwin like the RC or the SV/TL. those engines already have great torque and move value. this would be a great bump in the numbers i am sure!!!!
@sdpbear I was close to doing an RC kit (still might, in fact), but the interest level really dropped off -- at the same time, the interest level in the GSXR/Busa/ZX-14 has only gotten stronger and stronger. I figure an RC would hit 200-210whp pretty easily on pump gas and stock internals.
@AandAperformance I am a fan of Justice and I thought it had to be them. Thanks for the tip. Curious when a '06-'07 model might be made available? Would a donor bike need to be supplied? The engine placement on the '06-'07 went down and forward a bit. Probably less room.
@Rick258442 I have donors lined up now, but I'm waiting to see how it goes with this 1st-gen kit. Most aspects are similar between the different years, so I'm sure many parts can be shared, but the 2nd & 3rd-gen have a completely different starter case, which necessitates a new Rotrex bracket and crankshaft interconnect. The 3rd-gens also have a 2nd row of injectors in the airbox, which further complicates things. It'll come down to how many 2nd & 3rd-gen guys are willing to jump on board...
The kit is obviously awesome. Only problem is that my 10R is already so freaking fast, with such a short wheelbase, there is no way I could keep the front tire down.
Talk about angry!
When I was listening to it on the dyno, I could have sworn I heard Satan.
@Rick258442 That bike was pure evil fun. Impossible to go WOT in the first 3 gears, but a blast trying to do so. The Sato GP can sounded excellent as well, and was not as all-out loud as you'd think it would be.
hehe now thats what i am talking about=)) could you use this kit if you had head work and cam pc3 big bore etc etc???? meaning that you tune a already tuned bike??? or will a high comp engine (13.5-14:1) "blow up" ??
@rottepung666 If you have a high-compression engine, I'd highly recommend bring the CR back to stock levels (or lower) with a thicker head gasket, otherwise you'll need to run race gas or limit the boost. Also, we're playing with a cam setup now that should work great with a centrifugal supercharger like the Rotrex, and it's definitely different than the standard race cam setup.
@rottepung666 A full instruction manual is included, and shipping to Norway isn't a problem -- just be prepared to pay for any import fees (typically 25-35%) and a higher shipping cost ($450+). I actually have 2 VFR customers with supercharger kits over in Norway now...
@AandAperformance 450$ in shipping ouch=)) but probaly worth it big time... gotta say i thought i would be the first C",) one more question: what BRAND is that bad ass looking exhaust you guys are using on the zx10r????
@rottepung666 It's a Sato Moto-GP canister (satoracing . c o m/exhaustsystems . h t m). Be sure to see the comments in video 9UCsqSnF2BY to see if my Norway customer likes his kit...
@sebastianzx6r Nope, just around the parking lot. These kits are shipping very soon, so once they get installed, I'm sure you'll see some videos pop up.
would this kit work on a 05 zx-6r 636? I would think the cases would be close to the 10's if not the same. Id love to put a blower on my 636.. it's a rotrex blower correct? The 636 has 2 set's of injectors.
@plasmablue636 The cases are different enough that an entirely new bracket would have to be developed. Anything is possible with enough interest, though...
It would be cool to have a supercharger on a 636 but why would you do it? The kit is probably around 4K, you could just sell your bike and buy a 1000cc bike and have just about the same power output.
@sebastianzx6r That's why I haven't pursued a 600 kit yet. If I did get enough interest in a particular model (or someone wanted to spend the money for a one-off), I'll do it though.
@RETICS1 Not yet, but I'm working on it. Kawi changed the case design in '06, so the supercharger bracket has to be completely redesigned. Also, the '08-up bikes have a second row of injectors, so I'll have to figure out how to incorporate them into the design as well.
@AandAperformance Sweet!, well keep us posted, you did a great job on the first series , Love the power output. The 2011 model is coming out soon, full fairings, might be a little easier to hide under that one as well. as for the eight injectors Bazzaz has a fuel management system that runs all eight, if your not familiar .
@RETICS1 We'll have to see what the demand is like for the 2011 model, but from what I've read, the changes Kawi made to the engine don't sound too good for boost (higher comp., thinner pistons & rings). For the current bikes, I'm more concerned about interfacing the secondary injectors with the airbox than I am with the tuning aspect. The Bazzaz does control all 8, but limits you to 50% adjustment, so I'm looking at ECU-based tuning for the 8 injector bikes (that or the PCV with a SFM).
@AandAperformance , Ok Awesome, I'll be following your progress, I Might look into the 2011 for later on its still too soon to tell but that kit would make my 2008 super swag!, Keep up the good work.
Any way to plumb an intercooler into the system?

Does the bypass valve vent to atmosphere??
ninja6kid 7 months ago
@ninja6kid Yes. A K&N filter sits on the outlet of the BOV and excess air is released during shifts & part throttle situations.
AandAperformance 7 months ago
Why the filter? Are you trying to make it sleeper? would replacing the plastic bosch bov with a louder unfiltered flarred one be a bad idea? Thanxs

Love the video editing where "8 psi. boost" (3:13) frizzes out to the very cool music score. Nice touch.
