This is a pretty accurate sound, and super chunky and fat in its own regard. Nice work. May I ask what your signal path is? Mainly what kind of cab and mic (I guess amp as well) are you using to capture that thick sound?
This is all done direct, check my channel for detailed gear listing. Because it is for youtube and the audio quality is still about 2/3's of what it sounds like on my pc before i upload it, direct works just fine. For my pro audio i wouldn't settle I use two amps (listed on my channel) and cabs paired with two Sure dynamic instrument mics ( can't remember their exact model at the moment) but the sound is way better than this still using CubaseSX for all audio.
it needs to be dropped and the guitarist uses custom gauged strings the 5th and 6th strings are no where enar each other (thicknesswise) he uses 11 14 18 28 38 and 52
Most of the intonation problems seem like they're coming from the gauge of the strings which look a bit light, and the fact that the guitar probably isn't adjusted for this downtuning. The attack can be a bit sharp because the strings are looser than they would be in standard. Some artists even exaggerate this by intoning their guitars a bit flat and hitting the strings loose and hard for a sharp attack, it can sound pretty cool.
On this vid I used the Ernie Ball Custom Hybrid Slinkys, but I usually use the Skinny Top Heavy Bottom EB's. I was surprised myself by how clean these were in such a low tuning, but i still prefer the feel of the others more.
This is sweet. The only thing that I could tell you to improve it is at 4:15, slide up to the A power chord from the G# power chord in the first fret.
could you by any chance put up your own tab for this song, since most stop after the first solo

It was pretty good, no real complaints. I don't think that Les Paul was made to be in Drop A Though. Ha. And the dog is a nice touch. Haha.

low a is out of tune a smidgen (i always have critisism- especially on covers of songs like this)

dont worry it really annoys me

me too, i wasn't using the gauge of strings that I normally do so they didn't hold the drop-A tuning as well as I would have liked.

not perfect, but better than how I play it

What string gauge do you use? I'm curious because your drop tunings still sound pretty tight
