Just go to Colombia man, you're already more aware of the dangers than even many Colombian's are. Many haven't even seen coke or heard of burundanga. I'm one of those people until I stumbled on this video and I've been to Colombia many times it's a wonderful place with amazing people. What needs to be remembered is that these are isolated cases, things like this happen all over the world...with the right knowledge & respectful approach to the people, Colombia is an amazing destination.

@karloshaman This happened to me in Berlin. All my savings, from home and from my account were taken. I had no memory of it and only gradually discovered the full extent of what had happened. It is a nightmare and people here in Europe (police, a psychiatrist i went to for example) seem to be completely unaware of it. Most stuff on the net seems to treat it as half urban myth. That will change when it happens to enough people. Do you know a good source of information on it?

Just go to Colombia man, you're already more aware of the dangers than even many Colombian's are. Many haven't even seen coke or heard of burundanga. I'm one of those people until I stumbled on this video and I've been to Colombia many times it's a wonderful place with amazing people. What needs to be remembered is that these are isolated cases, things like this happen all over the world...with the right knowledge & respectful approach to the people, Colombia is an amazing destination.

I didn't post my comments to argue or be attacked. The ONLY reason I responded is that people keep contacting me to get a hold of this plant because I am in the medicinal plant industry- they sent me the link to youtube and wanted to either try it or use it for bad things after seeing this video. Dose and plant species from which the scopolamine comes causes many varied results in users since scopolamine is not the only anticholinergic compound that is found in these types of plants, ex. hyoscyamine/atropine also exists in many of these plants and occur in differing levels based on time of harvest, growing conditions, etc. Anticholinergics do not always produce total loss of inhibition. The guy who made this video isn't being responsible about educating people about dangerous plants.

I am a scientist who studies plant-derived drugs. Scopolamine is found in many poisonous plants in the nightshade family like Angel's Trumpet, belladonna, deadly nightshade, henbane, Jimson Weed, etc. This guy is exaggerating the effects- it's not fun and it does not make you lose all inhibitions, but it is a hallucinogen and it will mess you up- in a bad way. I don't think the drug changes the English language. I think it just takes away a persons free will. Perhaps you need to upgrade the firmware in your brain to understand how human english works. Correct me if I'm wrong but isnt Scopalamine the medication they use in motion sickness patches? I was really nauseated throughout my pregnancy many years ago & since there's not too many meds that are safe to take, my OB gave me scopalamine patches. I had the thing on my neck for about 20 mins when I started hallucinating--- I saw hair growing outta the wall.... my curtains were getting small then big... your usual "trip" I Guess... of course the dr had me remove it immediatly!

actually, what the others are referring to as motion sickness is actually "ScopeDex" (Scopolamine + Dexedrine), sometimes taken by astronauts and those in training to prevent nausea and vomiting in altered gravity environments. Scopolamine in itself is pretty dangerous and is of course given in higher doses, and i think even used by the CIA in the 60s.
