She will never be able to "crossover" to the main stream in america. But that doesnt diminish her talent. If you think about Patti Labelle, she never really "crossed over" either. She was, and still is the shyt to Black people because she is very real in the way she sings. I love Beyonce, but she will never be as soulful as Fantasia...There is a spirit that dwels in her voice that no one can deny. Its a shame R&B isnt appreciated like it was a few years ago. Unfortunately all this lil jon and dirty rap is killing not only R&B but classic Hip Hop. Its still good to know its singers like Tasia, Jhud, Erykah, Jill and India thats keeping R&B going. What I like about Fantasia is she keep her own style going and she keeps it church in her live performances thats what make her so special.
