An Evening With Queen 1974-1976 2DVD set, Queen Live at Earl's Court 1977 DVD available at Tommygun Video please see our youtube channel for link, video clips and more info
Secundo a Gamarrita totalmente.
Never had I heard Ogre Battle nor white queen... Now wasnt I surprised... specially by white queen... I cant understand why stuch a beatiful song as white queen was drop by queen... Its one of the greatest ballads I've ever heard... And the solo is just perfect...
I agree totally!! I watch their concerts on you tube much more than their produced videos. They were so electric....the live shows look amazing. I dont know the right words to say. Wish I could have seen one!
@PicKPiT are you talking about the studio version of white queen, cuz that is just amazing, this solo was good, but that acoustic one nearly makes me cry ;)
@JeffHardy619SuperFan I actually think that this live version is better than the studio version
The studio version is queen's raw sound with vocal and guitar dubs...
The solo is unique no doubt but the one thing that I love in the studio version is the bridge solo (before the "my goddess hear...) and what makes it unique are the lyered guitars on the background
My conclusion is that the studio version is gret but this one is the best version ever (along with Tokyo 1975)
@PicKPiT I think you're right, but the reason is I think that during the years they produced so many hits that couldn't be ommited they had to drop songs to make room for them. It's a pitty they dropped this song later on, and also songs like The Milllionaire Waltz, Good Old Fashioned Loverboy, The Prophet's Song. How thrilled and moved I was attending the Leiden concert '86 Magic Tour when they began to play In The Lap Of The Gods. That was a present for the original and loyal fans.
queen was so much better in the early 70's. i only like their early sound.queen 1 and 2 plus sheer heart attack.night at the opera is good to.day at the races last good album

@gdsc4
These ones are ovredubbed... I think...
The sound too similar to the studio version.
However, Roger Taylor could hit those kick-ass falsetto notes in live performances! This is clearly shown by their other concerts.

They sound too similar to the studio version, I think they are overdubbed in this one.
But Roger Taylor could hit those kick-ass falsetto notes, this is shown by their other concerts.

It's so much more fantastic live than on the record. Either way it's still a real good song, but the live version is INCREDIBLE.

@JeffHardy619SuperFan And lets not forget I made that comment a year ago
Because the second album is filled with amazing songs that re one of a kind
Definitley my favourite album and white queen is queen's best ballad next to Who Wants to Live Forever
