You forgot to demo the 4th position with the S1 engaged, produces an out of phase sound that's like no other sound on that guitar; Neck and bridge in series, out of phase.
@BELOROYAN They would both work well for that application. What it comes down to playability the neck profiles are different but not night and day...The Baja is an Ash body and the American is Alder....
Dumbest question about to be asked - Is this the blonde finish that turns yellow after it ages? I always liked the yellow look (like the road worn teles), I just don't want a road worn. Thanks
That's quite a bit of tension for a tele, but it should be able to handle it. Obviously the nut will need modified and the neck tension will have to be adjusted. It might take a few days for the neck to settle in.
How would this guitar handle with 013-056 gauge strings? I'm after a new guitar to play Peter Buck-inspired clean arpeggio-driven rhythm stuff on and mr. Buck is famous for using really heavy strings to get a chunky, snappy sound.
I have a question do they make them with 24 frets my by any chance ?

@iConverseMyLife They do not in this model.
NstuffMusic 1 week ago
is it a thick neck? or its similar as a standard american tele?
tclf 1 week ago
@tclf It is a little chunkier neck for sure. Feels more like a "D" shape to me. More meat sits in the palm of your hand. It is not too chunky though.

What does baja mean?
pok0000 3 weeks ago
@pok0000 I think it means "low" (like not tall) in Spanish. Right?
TommyVF 2 weeks ago
@pok0000 I think the Baja part of the Fender Baja Telecaster reffers to the Baja California peninsula in western Mexico.

Does the last position have a similar sound to a middle position from a Jazzmaster?
mendez2050 8 months ago
@mendez2050 The Tele has a little more pop and snap! But they are both single coil style pickups so they are some what similar.

Really nice review, however just a little constructive feedback, you didn't demonstrate the 'out of phase' for the series position (4).
I do think your reviews are amongst the best anywhere on the internet. Mark plays beautifully and describes the produces well.
Thanks
