  • Doing this same version in choir and it's so fun!!!!!!!!! I really want the solo!!!!!!!!!!!

  • TWEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLVEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! hhahahahahha yes

  • favorite version of this song and favorite performance amazing job guys!

  • the best part is the outburst of A-Wassailing during the Deck The Halls... :)

  • To all you that are saying the Trojan Men ripped this off from Straight No Chaser:

I'm a huge fan of Straight No Chaser, but like others have said before me, they did not originate this arrangement. SNC added their own spice, the Trojan Men made it their own, heck, I even did a version of this at my school choir! But the arrangement didn't originate with SNC, though they did popularize it.

Trojan Men: I love it! I saw you all at the All Hail A Cappella concert yesterday -- GREAT JOB! ^___^

  • "Why are we singing about egg shells?" XD

  • that was amazing! made me laugh too!

    =D

  • 2:07 to 2:31 was freaking tight! these guys are awesome! i still think these guys are better than SNC, although SNC's version still is very fun to listen to

  • LOVE 2:00!!! Who's the little guy(not to be offensive)... he's AWESOME

  • You did a great job! I'm sorry about that one girl, but I'd be interested to know who did arrange the song. I've heard it sung countless times and only recently by SNC.

  • Straight no chaser did it first

  • I would have no problem with this but they need to give credit to SNC.

  • Thanks for watching! Check out the information on the right! --->

SNC did not do this first. You could say they popularized it, but they are not credited for creating this arrangement.

  • No, were a number of versions done before SNC in years ago. But they did indeed popularize it.

  • wow...this was entertaining!

  • unreal....that is all

  • Than was great!

  • so cool

  • either way SNC is a lot better

  • Barbershop????

  • awesome and funny

  • I promise you that! It was a project in the Audio Tech Class and they found a version similar to it online and found that no one had used it so we took it and wrote the 12.5 days of christmas. We have no videos of the performance; however, a director from OU came up to the group afterwards and said he was sorry because of how that last song ended up......so we were one of the first to perform this song.

  • Mhmmm...? And the fact that SNC did this over a decade ago means nothing? You can make up all the stories you want, but unless you provide evidence, I'm not convinced.

  • And further more, SNC comes from IU, not OU. So clearly you got your facts mixed up.

  • I know where to get the music.....our high school was the school that wrote this song, and it just got out into the world....Straight no Chaser did a version of this.

  • >.> really, huh? Care to prove that for us? Because i'm a bit skeptical about that.

  • the solo guy reminds me of michael jackson a little in terms of vocals

  • The straight no chaser version is by far the best i have seen this was alright but defiantly straight no chaser is better

  • This was fantastic! Does anyone know how to get the music for this? I have tried but no one seems to know where it came from.

  • It was originally done by Straight No Chaser. They have a Christmas album out. I think this song is on it, but I'm not sure. I think you can get it on iTunes. Straight No Chaser's version is a bit different, but still great!

  • DAMN! That guy can sing 1:57

  • First time I saw this arrangement. Loved it. You did very well! :D I laughed many times during this song...(eggshells?!)

  • i love it! thx! DONT take it off PLEASE!

  • yeah it was originally Richard Gregory for the Williston Caterwaulers, not the Straight No Chaser. Both are good groups. But this seems more fun. more "youthful"

  • They stole this from Straight No Chaser, who already have a record deal from Atlantic Records.

  • "The song was originally arranged by Richard Gregory for the Williston Caterwaulers. I've seen a ton of a cappella groups and show choirs perform this medley, with each group usually having their own additions/changes to Gregory's orginal arrangement."

  • No matter who performs it, it's always fantastic.

  • unless the group really sucks, then it probably wouldn't be fantastic

  • @trmpt25 dosent matter who stolen what.......The Trojan Men sang it better! SNC sang it well but.......TTM won this one

  • @trmpt25 why do you uninformed ignorant people insist on showing your stupidity? My group has covered our version of this, which IS NOT originally by SNC btw, Richard Gregory, since it came out & its always our closing number of our Christmas show. I'm sick of the uninformed posting comments on our link of this song of this nature. I suppose we should make a separate comment thread for those like yourself & name it: "I open my mouth & my ignorance confirms the forethought"

  • This vid ALWAYS makes me laugh!

  • Awesome version of this! Good arranging there at the end.

  • I love you guys. This took some time and dedication to be creative.

  • I have seen a lot of different versions of this song and you guys are among my top 3 with SNC and the HeeBeeBGs. Great job!

  • Then who did, straight no chaser sang the version over 10 years ago so i find it hard to determine the original creator

  • the arrangement's been around for much longer than that. SNC is often credited, but they didn't invent it. tons of groups do this - check out SNC on wikipedia and you'll see that the arrangement's been around in diff. forms since the 50's. who knows the original creator? but it certainly wasn't SNC

  • The song was originally arranged by Richard Gregory for the Williston Caterwaulers. I've seen a ton of a cappella groups and show choirs perform this medley, with each group usually having their own additions/changes to Gregory's orginal arrangement.

  • you should definitely give credit to the many segments you used from Straight No Chaser in the description, it is nearly exactly same with an exception of the end

i like it but u should give credit where credit is due

  • while i do agree with you, straight no chaser didn't invent this either, and they never gave credit to anyone.

  • Brrrravissimi!!!

  • COOL!

  • I love watching this video..tats very cool!! hope you post another vids like that...lol

  • scary cool

  • Nice guys! I recodnize the begining from the Kline Four.

  • love the way this ends - how many carols are you singing at once?

  • putting "Shout" into that has to be one of the greatest ideas ever. I think it beats the version with "Africa"

  • I <3 U!!! xDD This is so funny! And cool!! And so on!! Those guys were damn right to scream that loud!!
