I find it amazing how these aircraft can get so shot to fuck and still fly. Some have been known to land back at base with 25% of their wings missing.

Though video devolved, A-10 is the best military aircraft flying. The new joint strike fighter is BS. We should not have stopped making the A-10. it lived up to its name. The Warthog. Saw many with half their wings blown off, they kept flying. And they are they best close ground support.

I was on a boat on the Rhine River and one of these came swooping over the hills; very frightening sight. Don't know that they still base these in Germany, as that was many years ago; still an amazing plane for its role - armaments and maneuverability alone are a display of engineering accomplishment.

This was America's response to hundreds of thousands of Soveit tanks during the Cold War. I don't think those Soviet tank crews would have liked this plane very much.

i live near helchteren, a 10s come over and do attack runs on the range there. the gun sounds like god has gas if you're a coupla miles away. goes like WHOOOOOMP!
