  • You have your own sound to your bass playing, something an avid bass player lacks. Please go join a band, your potential and uniqueness is really out there. Put suckers to shame and get on that stage.

Oh yeah and more Soilwork covers would be rad. And maybe In Flames, that stuff is so fun to cover and improvise a bit to.

  • @MrBogeytime Thanks man, I've been planning on some new covers to upload. It's a bit harder since my amp is permanently at my drummer now. My latest video is a live video with me and the band I've joined somewhere last august/september. Go check them out. youtube.com/user/21eyesofruby

  • great

  • Dude , You fucking rock.

  • gerat playing and very good right hand technic! keep it up!

  • are u using a processor??

  • @threadbreak Nothing whatsoever, there's a tuning pedal with true bypass in between but that's it

  • @lackoffate I likr you tone ummm would mag300 and the ashdown 4x10 be enough to play gigs with btw could you please send me your amp setting?

  • @HappyDictator If you have a 4 ohm cab that should do. My EQ is actually turned off. No Bright or Deep switch used. Only thing I use is the EQ on my bass

  • @lackoffate thanks man (: you rock and you tone is great (: your the only reason why I play ashdown man xD

  • oh and what strap are you using ? I really need a new bass strap

  • that bass looks really great, I guess I'll buy it

I already have an SR-506, and it's awesome, except the wood finish, which is not that great

  • how much was this bass?

    kickass playing

  • 750 Euro's might be cheaper by now

  • i have this bass

    it's fucking great =]

    nice cover dude =]

  • This cover just blew me away!!! Is this bass really a good choice for my first five string?? Because I'll have got one by next July and I'm thinking about this one.

  • It might be a bit expensie for your first five string

It's a great bass though, depends on what you really want out of a bass

  • I'll have got enough money for the SR705. I want to play metal and rock stuff. Will it be a good choice?

  • I'd go with the SR705, The only real difference is the wood of the body. and the finish is a lot more durable. The SR505 tempts to dent a little. The SR705 can take a lot more punishment.

  • I'd say go for the SR505. They are INCREDIBLE basses. They are really similar to the 705, just with a natural wood finish and I think the pickups are a slightly lesser model, but they are still Bartolini (which is always quality). I've had my 505 for almost 5 years, have gigged with it well over 30 times, it's got CHUNKS out of it but still plays like the day I got it.

Plus, its a few hundo cheaper. That's always a plus!

  • hey dude, very very good playing.

is this the bass with the maple centerpiece? on all the photos of it you can see the centerpiece very good. but in reality its darker right?

  • Yeah this is with the centerpiece.

Uhm well the pictures are actually quite true to reality. It is lighter than the wings anyway

  • Your tuning please ? CGCF, BADG or something like that ?

  • well, if you've played any soilwork you'd know that they play in B

and since I'm playing a 5-string there would be at least five strings to tune in stead of 4 ;)

For soilwork it's standard B (BEADG).

But occasionally I'll tune it half a note down to Bb Eb Ab Db Gb, for songs from Alter Bridge or Protest The Hero and such

  • Yeah, sorry I ment this tunning, but I have only 4string. I didnt play any Soilwork song, I cant find any good tab except (and Im not able to find it out by ear) Distortion sleep, you might do this cover ?

  • Sure, it's not hard at all. But it'll take some time since I'm in the middle of my final tests for this year and my camera and SR705 are at my parent's house

  • Excelente!!..

  • Nay one knows if that model sounds good for jazz?

  • I wouldn't recommend it.

They actually have a bass for jazz, the Fender Jazz Bass. That's probably the best for it. The SR series is supposed to be able to sound like anything, but I wouldn't recommend it for jazz. Seeing as it is most used in metal. It's pretty divers but not THAT divers.

  • I have the same bass too. I bougt it a year ago and actually I'm really happy with it.

You must have the Dead spot on the 7th fret of the g-String, too, right?

  • Not that I'm aware of. But I've heard that dead spots can vary between nearly identical basses

  • Yes, that is true and the condition for one can also change over the time, because the wood change.

My d on the 7th fret of g-string is very thin and the sustain very short

  • I have an sr300 and I had to adjust the strings quite a bit in order to have all my frets work.

  • yeah that was awesome bro well done!!!
