  • what a corageous dude this tiny ginger kitten is. when he's grown up he'll be agreat warrior.

  • "I don't care if your face is five times bigger than my whole body, I AM IN CHARGE HERE"

  • wants to be friends so bad.........

  • Your dog is so sweet, he just wants to kiss them, but the kitten is so defensive he keeps hitting him.

  • the poor kittens probably thought the Great Dane was a dinosaur!

  • aww she/he is scared

  • so fuckin cute

  • That kitten seems to be born feral, normal house kittens won't hiss at a dog.

  • @zhengjdc I don't remember if this kitten was feral or not, but I can tell you after having raised over a thousand kittens myself, that it doesn't make a difference if they are feral or not. They almost all hiss at first.

  • @MissDolittle

just curious. becoz all my kittens were home born and they never hissed (not that young), the feral kittens I caught in my yard hiss and bite FEROCIOUSLY.

  • @zhengjdc I can see where you are coming from, makes sense :). I think that even in domesticated and tame cats, the instinct and fear of natural predators is present, hence the hissing at the dog. Once they figured out the dog is not going to hurt them, they calm down. Feral cats take a LOT longer though.

  • The orange cat looks so sickly.

  • @MJJSmoothCriminal Since I run a rescue, the animals that end up usually have been through hell and back a few times already. Both of these kitties grew up to be healthy cats and have found a great home.

  • I are tuff kitteh

  • that cat has some skinny legs....

are you feeding it right? o.0

  • The little gray on is pretty chill about the whole thing.

  • awwwwwww, that was so cute,

  • Oh man, that dog better not yawn or he'll inhale em both! lol That's too adorable :)

  • That little tabbie is one tough kitty. Did it continue being a toughy or did it mellow out?

  • i have 2 Great Danes (8months and almost 9 months) and they both grew up with my kids (2 and almost 4).Every now and then the Danes go crazy and knock over one of the kids. The kids are used to it by now and race to the couch when the Danes have their 5 minutes.lol

  • lol my cat as that same yellow ball toy she loves it

  • atleast from animals, humans shud learn how to bring peace and love in this world.....

  • Wow, the grey kit reminds me of my silver tabby Shadow. I got him frm a Petsmart that saved him from a "rescue" (KILL) shelter. Was actually looking for a dog (which they had none of) and someone brought a big retriever in. All the cats went crazy but Shadow who went to the front of his cage to touch noses with the dug and rub against it.

My Shadow (literally) taught himself how to play fetch, counted a massive rott as a best friend and loved everyone. Proves cats n dogs can be great friends!

  • That poor little kitty cat hehe. He has no idea what's going on! He looks terrified!! The other one's so brave. So cute!

  • That great dane did seem to be acting like a protective mother. One of the kittens didn't seem to want to be protected, but the other one liked it :-).

  • thats right...give the kitten a heart attack....hehe

  • loll the gray one doesent give a fuck.. poor red kittie tho.. facing such a big monster at such a young age :/

  • That was soooo cute. The adorable dane just wanted to say hello. Cute beyond words!!!

  • The dane is like, "I just want to give you a baaath"

  • lol 0:10 cat: "get the fuck away from mee!!!!"

  • what varied temperaments between those two kittens! Ginger is gonna be a HANDFUL!

  • That is the cutest thing ever!! he's so gentle with them!!:D

  • I get to pick up my Dane puppy tommorrow; Extremely excited!

    :D

  • i live in michigan and i need a great dane!! please someone help!!!!

  • Go to Google and tyype in great dane rescue michigan. First result.

  • Yes, please people, if you want a dog or cat (or puppy or kitten), PLEASE check out your local animal shelters first!!!

In a city I used to live in, the animal "shelters" used to keep them for a few days before they'd kill them to make room for more.

  • thats why we're getting a great dane puppy in 5 weeks time...they are gentle dogs and wouldnt hurt a kitty :) we have 3 kids and after weeks of research this breed stood out from the rest!

  • If your kids are small, I would advise against a Great Dane. Even though gentle, they are mostly not aware of their size and can knock over kids. The bigger the dog, the bigger the damage.

If your kids are over 10 years old, I'm sure it'll work out just fine with the right training.

  • the orange kitty is scare that big face,

but the black one is try searching it.

  • Just be careful, so the dane doesn't accidentally inhale one of the kittens while licking them... The nose alone is bigger than cats almost...:-) In the end that was very sweet...

  • That was really cute! I can't wait for our Dane to get bigger!

  • aw :( puppy just wanna be friiiends

  • that was cute

  • Aww. The orange one's all spindly-legged. I love when kittens act all ferocious.

  • poor kitty is petrified lol u shouldnt tramatize kittens like this mr. Dane! lol

  • nawwk :) he's so gentle!

    bless

  • The pretty dane just wants love!! The kitties are like, Whoa dude, your really big!

  • I would never really worry about a Great Dane attacking. They are seriously gentle giants by nature, especially if raised with love and awareness. Some dogs think their lap dogs and want to do things smaller dogs can do but Great Danes seem to know they have to reel it in a bit.

  • Kako su medeni macici :))))))))))

  • aww there so cute

  • 0:43 ahahahahaaaaaaaaahaha lol

  • the gray kitten is totally chill with the doggy. that's precious ;)

  • gaywad

  • At 0:50 the grey cat is probably telling the dog "hey leave my brother alone"

  • The the kittens are huddling together like, "Holy crap that's a huge big wet thing staring at us."

  • aw the kitten was so cute and the other kitty liked the dog

  • i mean a dog that big so close to a cat that young..

  • That's because you don't know and trust my dogs. I do. I have been working and training dogs all my life, so don't worry, everything's cool :). I would never put an animal in harm's way, especially not for human entertainment.

  • Poor dog, he just wants to cuddle. :(

  • Ha I knew the dog would get along with the grey kitten :)

  • aww i love great danes.

it could've easily just swatted that little kitten and killed it.

this is why dogs are better pets than cats.

  • that was a kitten, of course it could'a killed it...

  • how come the kitty wasnt making making any noise in the second part? it looked like he was trying to mew but couldnt.

  • where did you get those kittens?

they look realy thin and malnorished!

  • I get them from Animal Control and the animal shelter. I fostered/raised about 700 kittens in the past 7 years that otherwise would have been euthanized. These kittens look good compared to what I get in sometimes.

  • yeah I know exactly what you mean.

Ive been working voluntree in a dog and cat rescue centre for 6 years.

I love it there because they never euthanize the animals.

We get so many abandoned kittens, some only a day old.

Alot of them look exactly like these kittens in this video. But we get alot worse too.

  • What a sweet and loving dog!!

  • That dog could've eaten that cat in one bite >.>

  • christ...even at 4 weeks cats are vicious

  • You can say that again! I've got the scars to prove it LOL!

  • the orange cat has some balls lol

  • the orange kitten:come one step closer and see what happens.

the gray kitten:your such a baby!

  • WAR kittens! LMAO

  • such cute kittens! and a really awesome Greatdane

  • I have a dane he is fawn and he is my baby

  • such a sweet dane!!!

The Orange kitten is like, "I can't stop looking at it"

The Grey Kitten is like, "Just don't look at it..it will go away!"

  • the dane's so sweet! but it could have'em without even chewing^^"

    the size is amazing^^

  • Great video! True it's breed the gentle giant!! I hope all is well re: heart worm..

  • wow thats one tough kitten! lol! cute video btw!

  • Wow I didn't think such a huge dog could be so loving towards a 4 week old kitten. It amazes me at how quick we judge the size of the animal and think that it would only tear apart the smaller animal instead of protect it. This is one of the cutest videos I have seen.

  • my great dane encountered a kitten once. all he wanted to do was say hi. if a dane wanted to hurt kittens, they can pick them up and throw them any which way.

  • man that cat looks like Smeigel from Lord of the rings.

  • If the great dane wanted to hurt them, trust me, you'd know.

If the kittens were scared, they'd hide.

  • cat loks wel funni freakin out but still cute

  • the poor guy cant even meow yet, sooo cute.

  • Thats soooo cute the Great Dane just wants to mother and protect the kittens but they are having none of it!!!!

    Lovely video

  • Look, the kittens are cute, but the doggie won. I wanna hug and squiggle and pet and carry this doggie! So calm, so trusty :)

And poor babies are just adorable being big and strong and tough! Congratulations!

P.S. I'm crossing my thumbs for Olivia!

  • Thanks! Olivia is on her 5th day of heart worm treatment and is feeling miserable, but hopefully she'll be as good as new again!

  • aw, the dane's just like "Hi guys, what's up?" and the kittens are like "uhh get away."

the dane isn't trying to hurt the kittens in anyway, as you can see, he/she is licking the gray one, so relax.

  • Kitten would run if he was scared. -- Cats are way more agressive than dogs. -- I don't know much about dogs because I've always had cats but this dog is licking the grey cat. He doesn't seem like he wants to harm them. Kittens are so cute!

  • The orange one isn't really scared--he's just learning to assert his dominance over a private space. If he was scared, he could always hide.

Anyway, Great Danes are wonderful dogs--gentle giants. It's a shame that they generally lead short lives due to various ailments.

  • Finally somebody who knows what he/she is talking about. Thank you!!! :)))

I have another rescued Great Dane (6) who is starting heartworm treatment today. Her name is Olivia..you can find videos of her under my nick here. Cross your thumbs for her?

  • Poor things prolly terrified... but it's funny how super young kittens will hiss and smack at bigger creatures.

  • that little orange cat is spunky!

  • I remeber when we brought our kittens home, our dane, Abby, would mother them. She tried to pick them up and she even tried to suckle them, it was most adorable. Great danes are really the greatest dogs ever.

  • oh the kitten is so scared!

  • ahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • ginger ones fiesty, gray ones nice though :]

  • Smart dog! That ginger kitten's having none of it. At least the well meaning dane has the tabby love bucket to soak - I mean groom. ;D Hehe - used to have a farm dog that would steal the barn cat's kittens and take them to her lair for mothering. We'd see the indignant mother cat hauling spit-covered kittens back to the barn.

  • LOL....hilarious! Oh, weren't those the good old days?

  • Sooooo cute! I can't wait untill i have a house so i can get a great dane!

  • I have a great dane and she is very gentle around my cats. I think most danes are actually, they truly are the "gentle giants" of the dog world.

  • Absolutely! We have a rescue dane that's only been with us a couple days and the kitten already 'shares' (read this as steals) his water and food ;)

  • we just bought a great dane and we are curious on how our 3 cats will adapt to the new addition.. any tips or suggestions??

  • The way I introduced them is I kept either the cat or the dog in a crate or pen, and let them meet on their own terms. Only if you see that there is tension, I would interfere. The first meeting is the most important, make it a positive experience and don't anticipate any problems..they actually pick up on that nervous energy. Good luck! :)

  • The great dane will have no problem whatsoever with the cats! They might take a little while to get used to him, but I'm quite sure they'll be good friends within days :-)

  • I love it when kittens try to his... it sounds like a mix between a cough and a sneeze....... so cute.........

  • That cat looked like he was on a little bit of crack!!

  • He is on a genuine Esbilac high ;p.

  • It is funny some cats and kittens could care less. I haven't figured out if my cat thinks he is a dog or if he thinks my lab and rottweiler are cats, but either way the all get along and play together. the dogs figure if he is not scared and won't run away ther is no point in chasing

  • If the dog barked, that cat would be a flat furball on the towel.

  • ooooh, he wants to play!

  • some kittens are like that especially new borns. very nasty but they become gentle when they grow up

  • I liked how the darker one wasn't too fazed the dog was there.

  • what a nice dog!!

  • lmfao @ the cats paws!!

  • We did call him lil Bigfoot lol!

  • thats a tough little cat and sweet hearted dane, nice vid!

  • Actually this is normal behavior for a Great Dane. They aren't called the "Gentle Giants" for nothing...:) I have a Great Dane 9 years old today!! She hasn't been around enough cats to have learned yet to watch her nose and the cats paws....ha

  • That cat's got the spaz toes going on ;)

  • Cute video- when we had a litter of kittens our Dane would sneak in and steal one from the laundry basket & bring it up on the couch with her. No kittens were ever harmed, just a bit wet- it's amazing how gentle they are!

  • The gray one is sooo adorable <3

  • aww that was cute.....

  • If the kitten was truly scared, he could always run and hide. The fact that he doesn't do that here clearly shows he isn't scared.

Besides, a Great Dane would NEVER hurt a kitten.

  • I meant to hit the "Thumbs Up" and accidently hit the "Thumbs Down". I will fix it though. I will have to wait until tomorrow to hit the "Thumbs Up" but I will until it shows +3. I am very sorry. I totally agree with your comment.

  • Oh Bless Danes are gentle giants. Sweet

  • aww that waht my kitten was like

  • Amazing how fast a dog can learn to keep its nose out of kittens' claws...

  • danes really are gentel giants... love the vid, tnx

  • i have a great dane, 7 weeks old infact. my girlfriend got a kitten when i got chewy and they love each other. great vid

  • That is so sweet. He's so gentle!

The more videos I watch of Great Danes, the more I want one (and I already wanted a big dog anyway)!

  • gentle giants!!!! so cute!!!!

  • how cute is that!! the great dane licked the kitty =D

  • If that Great Dane would have barked once that kitten would have died on the spot. lol

  • oooohhhh! The Dane is so lovely, as usual! That yellow cat is cute, do they make noise at 4 weeks? or was the noise just scared out of it! haahaa!!

  • lol the grey ones all like "he ain't that bad, look, I'll show you!" and the great dane's all like, "I wanna be your friend!"

    So cute!

  • btw, kudos to MissDolittle. Adorable video. i love Danes, they're so gentle and funny.

  • Man some people post the rudest replies....

Anywho, veyr cute! I liked how you made the bouncy ball thingy for special effect XD

  • that cat looks mile nuetritioned!

  • I want one of the kitties....... can i have the grey one? I know i can't, but i still want one....

  • Your dane just wants to give some love! That kitty has the longest legs ever! Cute.

  • How is the title misleading? You understand what hissing is, right? Claws out and paws swatting? That would be what a kitten does, when fighting something - in this case, a big dog. Just as the title says. It does not say Bloody Fight Between Kitten and Dog. AND, nobody is holding a gun to your head, making you watch the entire video if you don't like it. All of this would make YOU the R*tard then. GTFO.

  • amen!

  • Acne: No-one has the right* to entertainment at the cost of suffering.

Most people would have the decency (and brains) to be ashamed of deriving thrills from such.

Your comments were as bad as searching for videos entitled *Cute Babies* and being disappointed it's not kiddie-porn, or searching for *Frat Party* and being outraged because it doesn't show date-rape.

  • shut up hippy. it's a curious dane checking out a confused kitten. no one is getting hurt.

  • you misunderstood me. i didn't say anyone was getting hurt. at all. i think it's a cute video.

No...i was appalled that acnefaceface, below, was *disappointed* that noone was getting hurt in this video...and is dumb enough to openly admit to being the kind of creep who wishes there was more videos of animals being hurt. Most ppl with a morbid fascination are at least smart enough to be covert about it.

  • Calm down everybody! The kitten here just figured out how to hiss and was practicing. He wasn't even scared, because before and after the video he slept snuggled up on the Dane's head where he basically grew up on lol. Right under the huge ear flap hehehe. The Dane has helped me raise literally hundreds of kittens, he's an expert ;P.

  • lol cute! I wouldn't appreciate that big brute if I was them either
