  • Very good to make lots of offerings to collect merits. The more the better and with pure motivation too.

  • Everything we offer to the Buddha is a transform by the nature of the Buddha to a cause towards enlightenment. Whether its incense, lights, flowers or mandala. We offer our ego on the mandala is like Mara throwing sharp and powerful weapons at the Buddha. By the power of the Buddha's compassion, the weapons transform into beautiful flowers, which falls gently upon the Buddha.

  • I love my silver plated mandala set from Kechara Paradise and i have placed within clear quarts crystals pebbles offered within the mandala. I have this set offered to Lama Tsongkhapa and two sons.

  • Mandala offerings is a wonderful way to collect tremendous amount of merits. Being as high as Lama Tsongkhapa has done it and so should we. Lama Tsongkhapa gained many visions of Buddhas after making the offerings.

  • Best way for us ordinary folks to be free of ego is to hold our vows, do our Sadhanas daily, follow our Lama's general and personal instructions and get involved in our Lama's works to benefit others.

  • Why is in tantric views there are no clean and unclean view from the site Buddha?

  • ntadk: Well the Buddha has non-dual perception and he has realized emptiness. So everything is free of dualistic - clean/unclean perception and also empty of its inherent cleanliness or uncleanliness nature. Hence, when you offer the Buddha just plain water the Buddha perceives it as celestial nectar. Isn't that cool?

  • skyjuiceman: More people offering up their ego for the Dharma have contributed to these departments expanding. I try rejoice. Honestly, I will have to work harder in offering my ego up on my small Mandala set. Mine would require a humongous Mandala set to offer it up...hehe

  • Yeah, all of the 12 depts. in Kechara is very organized! They have grown to another level under the guidance of the Spiritual Adviser H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche.

  • No More Caves published every quarterly to update members and friends on Kecharas activities. The Kechara New News team also updates its members weekly by email and sometimes by SMS. I have signed up with them and have been getting lots of updates from Kechara!

  • I believe the most sincere offerings from a student will be his/her commitments towards Dharma which was explained in the recent issue of Kechara Houses quarterly newsletter edition called No More Caves

  • I see... I have always wondering the meaning behind this mandala offerings... good teaching by Rinpoche. Still, it is all in the mind, and still depend on our practice, and untainted mind.

  • Offering up negative qualities to get back positive qualities of Buddha... hehe... GOOD DEAL! So, offering Mandala is the best because we are offering every best in the world, the universe... ultimate offerings!

  • This is really great. Is this also what is called "egoless ego"?

  • How wonderful we can offer up our ego to Buddha, and in return, Buddha help us to creating the causes not to have EGO and also a good reminder for us not to be egoistic, but be generous and kind. Thanks Rinpoche, such a nice teaching. cheers. kecharahouse(dot)com

  • What other Lama is wise and brave enough to openly encourage people to seek other centers such as the NKT.

As a NKT practitioner; I have great respect and gained a deep appreciate towards HE...thank you Rinpoche!

    May everyone follow your example.

  • A mandala represents the whole universe, just like how a platinum credit card represents wealth especially in expensive botiques and restaurants. If a plastic card can represent wealth, why cant a mandala represent the entire universe? Offering the universe is symbolic for offering up your ego. neonlama(dot)com

  • offering up our ego to the Buddha gives us the causes for us to give it up for real. This is the first step to letting go of your ego, no matter how insignificant it seems but everyone needs to start somewhere since it isnt easy to give up our egos directly. neonlama(dot)com

  • recently it has been quite hard for me as I have to pick up on my own mistakes but in the process I have been pretty reckless about the people around me and have caused them inconvinences. I realize now that me feeling hurt over my own mistakes is just my ego and that there is nothing to be upset about. It has not been easy but this teaching has helped me understand my own ego better. tsemtulku(dot)com

  • yogi is so cute

  • im going throught a weird testing time with my ego lately the more i try and not get affected very powerfull ego games hit me ,like personall past remarks that have hurt me or competition with friend for getting women, its getting harder the more i am trying toview life in a nicer view without bad feeling towards things.

  • I was skeptical of this mandala practice for a while, i was open minded but couldnt see why it could help untill months went buy i made maybe 2 mandala offering but realizations were slow very slow, then bam it hit me my obscurations were gone and wow i am now making them and improving the visualizations and i say my realizations have increased, as Tsem Tulku says it creates the CAUSES. think bout it CAUSES.

  • offering up your ego to the Buddha creates the causes for you to be seperated from suffering.

  • thank you, really! may all beings quickly reach the buddha-nature for the benefit of everyone!

  • that really depends on us too: people intrested in him to help spread the message across.

  • Buddhist recycling -

Give what you don't want to Buddha...

  • turn yer speakers louder :P

  • does Tara really want mememememememememe?

  • oh I love love love love Tara and this is the perfect teaching on how to best offer and serve her. I never thought of offerings being so powerful from our "inside" - I guess it's easy for us to get stuck in just the external offerings. Thank you Rinpoche for making these teachings so available and so clear. It makes so much sense to me, at every step and I appreciate how I can apply them so easily to my daily practice and life. Thank you and I pray for your long life and good health always.
