  • No no no - you MUST disconnect the battery and wait for at least 2 minutes for the capciotrs to discharge. If the battery is connected power spikes when you unplug the airbags can set off the airbag. Granted on non airbag cars this is not a problem but the Range Rover sport is for sure an airbag car !

  • I don't know if this is true for cars with airbags, but if your car doesn't have an airbag, you should be able to take out a fuse instead of having to disconnect the battery. (the fuse is for the horn)
