  • @lazycrazy24 thanks!

  • Audio quality was actually pretty good, but it seemed like the Uke track was the first one you laid down so it was a little bit out of step at parts.

All in all I enjoyed it. Thanks for posting :D

  • @xThePilfer You're absolutely correct, should've laid that uke track down with a metronome or so. Thanks for the comment.

  • you guys did a great job on this :) Beirut, forever!

  • This is lovely, I hope you plan on doing more...ANYTHING. :D If you like Beirut enough to do a cover, then you already have my vote for good taste in music! I enjoyed a lot.

  • @DorkykindaGal Thanks a lot! It is only the issue of finding time. And respect for you for liking good music such as Beirut!

  • do you have any new songs?

  • @qxDCxp I always plan on making a new video, but I never get to do it. I will try though, cause it's very fun to do. Only downside is that it takes a lot of time.

  • That was fantastic. You did a really, really wonderful job.

  • you're lovely, really

  • thank you for this video, not only are you really good but very inspiring; my boyfriend plays the uke, my friend the guitar and I rock the melodica so I think we'll give this a go! Beirut as well- perfect!

  • congratulations its for sure a great cover, great work.

i buy a tascam Dp-008, and a drum machine Zoom Rt123, i will try to record something in the future and see what comes up.

that ukelele its nice where did you get it? i have a cavaquinho (= the father of ukelele it was taken to hawai by portuguese, something like that :) )

anyway, you should try to record originals also, i think you can manage to do a great work to.

good luck and keep up the good work

  • I'm sure you'll love the tascam, looking forward to your videos.

  • @thewannabe90 what do you use to record?

  • I used the internal mics on my Tascam dp-004.

  • @thewannabe90 i hope to receive mine this next monday, and the drum machine will come the days after i hope.

i need to buy a condenser mic, i been searching on ebay and i got to see a good one and cheap, with some good extras. from Red5, its cheap but for now thats what i can afford.

have you record more music that you havent put here? do you have a myspace?

  • No I do not have any other stuff online yet, but I will soon. I think you can make some decent quality recordings with the stuff you're buying, I'm actually curious for the results.

  • @thewannabe90 its my first aquisition soo i will have to learn how to do it by myself and try to experiment and do the best i can.

i hope that the results can be good, at least soo i dont regreat spending so much money.

    will see...

  • Hey, well done!

It's been 9 months now, no upcoming projects?

    Greetings from Sweden

  • Thanks a lot, I have been thinking about making another one since making this one was a lot of fun. I'm just not sure whether I should do a cover or an original song. Also I seem to be very good at postponing these plans...

  • Good Job! Did you just use the onboard mics on the Tascam for recording? If so...sounds fantastic!

  • Jup, just the onboard mics, they don a fine job...

  • Really glad you sung. Definitely an amazing cover. You used the DP-004 to record this? I'm thinking about buying it.

And! The melodica! Placed very well in the song; I am envious, I want one so badly. :)

  • The Ortega is definitely not bad, I am very pleased with the sound. One minor problem is that the action is a bit too high for me...
