@MeltyColor Try reading "From Beirut to Jerusalem" by Thomas Friedman. Very good book and he does criticize Israel as well for the 1982 invasion. But Lebanon's problems began long before that time. The Civil War in Lebanon started in 1975 between Muslims and Christians. The West Bank and Gaza are two other topics that he focuses on in his book. I don't believe that the Israeli Government or people (vast majority) hate Lebonese or Palestinians. Really, it is the other way around.

@MeltyColor Try reading "From Beirut to Jerusalem" by Thomas Friedman. Very good book and he does criticize Israel as well for the 1982 invasion. But Lebanon's problems began long before that time. The Civil War in Lebanon started in 1975 between Muslims and Christians. The West Bank and Gaza are two other topics that he focuses on in his book. I don't believe that the Israeli Government or people (vast majority) hate Lebonese or Palestinians. Really, it is the other way around.

When religious motives are involved, a reflective individual will have to address those purportedly religious positions, as the consequences are potentially more severe.
