The Queen was absolutely stunning in her outfit and hat. A lovely colour which really suited her. Prince Philip was in a very cheerful mood. And the sun came out. The children were so happy to have seen the queen and to be so close to her as well. A very special memory for us all.

A real shame the reporter did not mention that the children in uniform were the Quedgeley cubs and guides and that the rainbows, brownies, beavers, scouts and rangers were also there from Quedgeley together with their leaders. We lined the path by where the Queen got off the boat.
