I don't think the fretting works on a soprano because of the size... works for most of the others though.

lol im usin my grandma's uke shes a samoan fob and she's the only one i can get to tune a uke by ear its like shes gotta secret way or method. She can jam on the uke she duznt know any actual names of cords she plays by what she sees and tunes by what she hears so i gotta know how she does it! its way easier than this i cant even get this! She tunes it in like 30 seconds! shes awesome

@LeopardPrintPumps for the C string, you have to hold the seventh fret on the C string, and make it sound just like the G string. what you might be doing wrong is holding the seventh fret on the G string. also, remember that the C is lower than the G

This method is showing you how to tune the Uke to GCEA presuming that the G is close to pitch then you can tuine the rest of the strings including the C using the method Brian is demostrating.A tuner is the sure fire method but this works if you are all alone on a desert island.Just you and you Uke !
