God I love this game to bits! I still have the cd but it will not work on vista. :( I got it to work a while ago but no sound which was one of the best bits of the game. :(

Iv just read a comment on another video with someone saying they used a ps1 emu and used a ps1 version emulation of the game, maybe that would work better with sound as its the ps1 version but i dont know?

I didn't find out about the books until way after I played this, but I did get the chance to read the first 2, which were very entertaining. I think this game might be based off of "Moving Pictures", but that's an educated guess.

I'm almost certain that DW was not re-released for XP, if you got a copy from, shall we say, anothner source they may had fixed it to run on XP.

Either way though you can get DW 1&2 for the PSX, it'll be a bit expensive but it's well worth the price and will work just fine on the PS2..not sure about the PS3 however.

I doubt you're still interested but Discworld was never released for XP and it probably never will be, your only chance is either running Discworld on DOSBOX or buying the PSX version.

Heh this game was quite fun, I remember it being impossible to complete because there was no real logic in what you had to do. Even using a walkthrough guide it took me a long time to finish.

If you read the books, you'll see that Death speaks in caps. (I don't remember if they're straight capitals, or a special typesetting term known as "Caps and small caps." In either case, Death doesn't speak in lowercase.

This *is* actual gameplay. I mean, what you see is exactly how the game is played, it is a "Point-And-Click" adventure where you move your character (Rincewind in this case) to anywhere on the screen by clicking with a pointer on the screen. you also have an inventory on-board "Rincewind" when you left click him once.

i recommend you play the game if you never has, it has many other hilarious bits I have yet to record.
