All I am so proud to have been there with you. You had the courage of your convictions and you stood up for people like Jenny, my daughter in-law who died along with her unborn baby just five weeks ago. Thank you, thank you!
The problem is, only 7 folks were organized enough and willing enough to do this action. Until dozens more of us follow their example, the action remains largely symbolic. Don't thank these people, copy them.
We are even smaller Davids fighting even stronger Goliaths than during the Civil Rights movement. In one sense I know you're right (we need to copy these seven), but from another angle, these relative few are exponentially brave and dedicated. More of us need to join them.
not true that only 7 people were organized enough! for each of those 7 people there was several more behind the scenes that had to work hard too to pull this off. we did jail support, legal support, press work, and organized the larger action/picket. by the way, there was at least 50-60 of us at the legal picket (which you also see in the video).
there's a single payer versus public option chart link on my single payer playlist, please get the facts on the baucus bill versus hr 676, thanks for your time, you might be saving your own life!
Dr. JHM, recall that this is about providing health care for American taxpayers, who so far have seen their tax monies used not for us but instead for killing people overseas. We have paid through the nose to private insurance companies who routinely obstruct and deny prescribed care. The Baucus bill would perpetuate that system, which serves NOT the customers/patients but only industry stockholders. That is what these people are protesting.
Thank you Chicago, we are with you and we will do the same thing in Tucson. 300 Arizonans demonstrated outside of Aetna. Its about time we started getting out into the streets. Thanks for your courage.
The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has determined the Baucus Health Care Bill will reduce the deficit by $81 billion over a decade. What will Single Payer do? When we get a comparative analysis, it will be hard for the opposition to argue with the bottom line and the savings we will realize.
I love the way the cops will try to hurt the people they are carrying out ..they should not be able to tell u not to video

If only more people, including myself, had the courage to do this.
I believe strongly in a single-payer system. Kudos to these brave people!

How many more people have to die before Obama finally begins to lead us to single payer?
Obama used to be for single payer and said we would enact it when we had a Dem Congress and Dem President.
Liar.

thank them AND copy them.
We have to start somewhere. Every civil rights movement started small.
You never know when the key action will occur. Keep working.

finally - it is beginning ! Demonstrations brought the end of Viet Nam - it works plain and simple. Non-violent civil disobedience.
As Nancy Regan would say - -
JUST say No. !
