well i think that their is a possibility that eye color has something to do with your intelligence. this is why, maybe a long time ago social classes (like religion, skin color) where based on eye color. Okay, this is how it works:

Your father and your mother both have two chromosomes(with that information).for example, your mother has one with a gene for blue eyes and one with a gene for brown eyes, and your father has 2 genes for blue eyes. You get one chromosome from your mom, and one from your dad. that means you will have one blue gene and one brown gene (for example) wich means you will have 'hazel' eyes. <(-.-<)

your parents must contain brown eye genes that go with you blue eye gene. therefore they get green.
