  • its actually a b minor chord in chorus , not b power chord

  • The lesson is really good (: but can you also make a lesson for how you tune in 1/2 step down? There are a lot of songs I want to learn with a 1/2 step down tuning, including this one, but I don't know how to tune it like that. Would be soo cool if you can do that!

  • I've been reading some of the feedback you give to the questions, and I think you're really friendly! I'll practice the song and send you the link ;)

  • Great song. I have never played in Drop D before, so how do i tune my guitar to drop d? is it just the first string or is it all of them? if it is all of them, on a tuner, how should they be tuned?

  • @7zackattack7 Tune the top string (also called the "6th string", numbering starts from bottom) down from E to D. Best to use a tuner, but you can also just match the pitch with the 4th string since it is tuned to D in standard.

  • hey can u send me the whole music sheet of the whole song

  • Hey i notice the struming pattern is different in the chorus, any chance someone could tell me wut it is??

  • th strumming pattern goes like this DDD DUDU U UDU

  • @ky860224 thank you!!!!!

  • you rock, man...thanks for the great tutorial...

  • thanks for the clip! great stuff!

  • btw the the E string will be a D# if youre using a tuner

  • perfect dude. learned in about 30 mins thx!!!!!

  • For anyone who is confused the strings go like this:

    C#

    G#

    C#

    F#

    B flat

    E flat

  • @rsoxfan123 dude if they tuned it to this that would not be 1/2 step down. thats like drop C tuning. all the strings with be the same just D#, a#, d#, g#,b#,e#... i mean thats how i play it

  • @xunspokenknightx

Trust me thats what it is. He tuned it to Drop D tuning. Which would be D, A, D G, B, E

THEN half step down, which would be C#, G#, C#, F#, B flat, E flat

  • what guitar are you using? the sound of it is awesome

  • @guitarfreak884 Thanks, it is a Taylor 414ce

  • If you could post tabs of the chorus section that would great. You went through the explanation pretty quick. Thanks man.

  • Do you strum down all 6 strings or only the lower 4?

btw, I only had to tune the low E down to D, and kept the other strings as is, and it sounded fine.

  • wait so is the 6 gna be a D or C#

  • my chords don't sound the same as yours. my guitar is tuned to drop D, well my E string is tuned to D and the rest of the strings are standard. isn't that how yours is?

  • @differentfromthem17 You have Drop-D, now tune each string down 1/2 step and you'll have it.

  • Thanks a ton! Probably my favorite on the album

  • great job....hope you make more covers and tutees ;)

  • Good job. Sounds better letting that 3rd D-string ring open, I knew I was doing something wrong.

  • D = 'whole step down' bro. Great sound as always. :)

  • @jipidibipity The guitar is tuned to Drop D, and then 1/2 step down, bro.

  • @azb24 then from a professional musician standpoint it would be considered to be tuned to d flat

  • will u do sweet child o mine- guns n' roses

  • Hey really good job.

  • Great, Thanks

  • keep the lesson coming please!
