Its a first person shooter, they can only improve on the 'recipe' as the community gives them more ideas and software becomes easier to create and code. When you make a new dish, you can't improve somthing you have already eaten, so you have to make it again. BF3 is going to be an improvement of BF2 and some more. BF2 you could not prone, BF3 you can... Thats a very quick example of improvment.

@TheSoulja99boy Single player is very short, unchallenging unless on Veteran, Poor and clique plot, idiotic AI. Not much improvement from previous games, become worse. The Spec Ops, lacks one major component to be successful, a matchmaking system... @TheSoulja99boy Single player is very short, unchallenging unless on Veteran, Poor and clique plot, idiotic AI. Not much improvement from previous games, become worse. The Spec Ops, lacks one major component to be successful, a matchmaking system... Multiplayer, broken guns, poorly made maps with too many advantageous spots, broken guns, killstreaks that need to be severely downsized, thousands of COMPLETELY useless emblems and titles, time could have been spent on other things. PERKS. Thats how

Yeah lol MW2 TOTALLY RAPES BLACK OPS. Even though the game is unplayable because it was hacked and you can turn on "UFO Mode". You can even give yourself any killstreak you want from a dev menu. That's a classic display of competence right there infinity ward! Oh sorry, I mean RESPAWN :D
