I asked my dad for a Wii for Christmas 2010, i got a Xbox 360 -_- its ok, fave game is Portal 2, but I never play it. Besides, most of those game are for PC, i use Torrents. Still wish I had a Wii. Now i have a 3DS XD
i love my wii but what makes me mad is that many great wii games don't even make it to america lots of people say the wii sucks because of its lack of good games but if we got half of the good games that arent released in america the wii would have some awesome games sadly with the wii u coming out its not going to happen with most of the games

@ddynamic00 Nintendo is lazy when it comes to video games. They always make great games, but they just don't make enough. That's probably why they demand other companies to make budget games to not rush them. Also, because of this mess, most people dislike the Wii. They turn their heads towards the Xbox 360 and PS3. It's true that both systems have better graphics and more great games than the Wii, but Nintendo needs to do the game thing to keep it from sinking. I like the Wii and PS3 still. :)
Its not a good idea to a wii now. Besides, this was reviewed when the wii was good and new. Online play is important now. Online for the wii LAGS.(for most games).And what I really hate is that the only games they make for it nowadays is Mario.that's IT. Don't get me wrong I love mario games but thats all they make now. If you do happen to get a wii there are some very decent games. Dragonball z, excitebots,etc

People seem to forget that the Wii can also play Gamecube games, and almost everyone still plays Gamecube games. I'm surprised that most people are beginning to hate or dislike the Wii. They also care more about graphics than gameplay. Why would they want graphics over gameplay?

@trekker123eski I won't be mean to you. It seems like a lot of people are bashing the Wii because it has lame graphics, and most of non-Nintendo games are terrible. Nintendo should of never approved those terrible games in the first place. It's a good thing that we can download classic games and buy epic Wii games like The Legend of Zelda. We can choose to ignore the bad games, and say the Wii is a good console, but it needs to be improved a little more. Even the PS2 has a few bad games.

@SimonTheProphet Couldnt agree with you more. Absolutely no doubt in my mind that the Wii is aimed at young families. Great graphics dont make the game good. I'd only be lying if i said i wasnt a Mario fan. However, its just as you said, they should stop investing their time and money into revamped Marios or Zeldas or Metroids. They're great franchises, but a fresh look doesnt always do the game /series justice, as im sure you know.
The graphics suck, simple as that. As for online play, there might as well be none. And nintendo needs to realize that online gaming is the way of the gaming world.However the system sells to the crowd it intended to. which in the end is all that matters. this guys review was fucking dumb, so to any gamers out there considering the wii, consider what i've posted. As for its game library, it offers not much more than fitness motion based games, and "revamped" classics. the wii "had" innovation, but the control scheme is too frustrating for game developers to want to bother. As i mentioned earlier, the only games wii owners will see other than wii fit etc., are dumbed down versions of larger franchises such as epic games' unreal and gears of war, to name a few.

@nandeska12 And as for the "epic" games you play on the Wii, they're all remakes with the only innovation of motion sensing. I'll give you an example of a few games that nintendo fans will never play because the Wii control scheme is too absurd. Metal Gear Solid, Battlefield, Mass Effect, Batman Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age, and the list goes on. That may be fine to you and others who dont care to play new games. Just know as a Wii owner, you'll only ever play remakes of mario, zelda, etc.

@FSAWK Yeah Mario's cool, but i already played Resident Evil 4... On the gamecube and PS2. RE5 isnt on the Wii. Wii owners cant enjoy that game. The Wii ain't that good. Sure it has some great games, but it's really lacking in games that involve actual storylines, plots, and characters with depth. Sorry Virtual Console doesn't count, and neither does rehashed games like RE4 which I played on the PS2. Wii is simply a dry console all around. I enjoy a good mario game at times, but sorry Mario doesn't have any storyline, plot, or even character. I have no interest paying for, and replaying Mario 64 which I beat on the N64.

@ThePopcornWeasel LOL Why did you give the PS3 a 2 out of 10? I like the PS3 better than the Xbox 360 because there are more game I like. I still play PS1 and 2 games on my fat PS3. Also, it has a longer life span, blu-ray, DVDs, music, photos, and free online play. What more could you ask for? I would give the PS3 a 9/10. The Wii gets an 8/10 because it has virtual console and epic games, but there are less of them. Also, the graphics are not upgraded, and the internet is slow sometimes.
If you have a wii gun accessory I like call of duty on it because it feels as if you really are shooting a gun and are feeling that motion and first hand action like your really in it
I love the wii and all (P.S. i have ps3 & wii, getting a 360) and i dont mind the graphics and games but.... the only problem i have is that you have to put in a random12 digit code in order to add your friends on wiiconnect24, and when you do... they don't even get a notification that you requested them to be friends. I hope they make an update to fix that problem but other than that... i love the wii as much as my ps3 and i love its games especially Super Smash Bros Brawl & Call of Duty 4.....

@GamingLyfe007 Good news for you then. If you're planning on buying Black Ops for Wii, it's going to provide new ways to add other players you meet, no more need of the Friend Codes on it. You can add players you even met online (through the servers, not through sites, but you can do that too) and I heard it's going to have a up to four person Zombie mode. I love my Wii! It got my favorite Nintendo games such as Mario games, Metroid games and Zelda games, and it also have some "adult" games such as RE 4 and games like that! Wii is the best =)

Do graphics dictate the generation? if its not wii its just more power shoved through the same basic product. Literally when you look at wattage lol. First of all I own wii the miis don't do shit the internet is so slow the games are in bad quality and how would you play a video game by using a remote. The ps3 has awesome quality I can go on what ever website I want and its so fast Online is awesome on the Ps3 and If you think about it a wii is a psp except white and not mobile.
Its not just the quality its the gameplay play and controls the only games I could think of that would be good for the wii is Brawl and Super mario bros wii. The Internet is useless the miis are useless and the news and weather channels aren't needed and everything else is retarded.

@SimonTheProphet Couldnt agree with you more. Absolutely no doubt in my mind that the Wii is aimed at young families. Great graphics dont make the game good. I'd only be lying if i said i wasnt a Mario fan. However, its just as you said, they should stop investing their time and money into revamped Marios or Zeldas or Metroids. They're great franchises, but a fresh look doesnt always do the game /series justice, as im sure you know.

The graphics suck, simple as that. As for online play, there might as well be none. And nintendo needs to realize that online gaming is the way of the gaming world.However the system sells to the crowd it intended to. which in the end is all that matters. this guys review was fucking dumb, so to any gamers out there considering the wii, consider what i've posted. As for its game library, it offers not much more than fitness motion based games, and "revamped" classics. the wii "had" innovation, but the control scheme is too frustrating for game developers to want to bother. As i mentioned earlier, the only games wii owners will see other than wii fit etc., are dumbed down versions of larger franchises such as epic games' unreal and gears of war, to name a few.

I'll give you an example of a few games that nintendo fans will never play because the Wii control scheme is too absurd. Metal Gear Solid, Battlefield, Mass Effect, Batman Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age, and the list goes on. That may be fine to you and others who dont care to play new games. Just know as a Wii owner, you'll only ever play remakes of mario, zelda, etc.

Want to enjoy the best visuals, DONT buy a Wii. Love playing online? DONT buy a Wii. With the Kinect and Move out, nintendo has no business with the wii. personally i dont own a kinect, but with motion sensing on the rise, nintendo is getting screwed. The Wii isnt in a console war against the PS3 and the 360, its competition is arguably the psp. they share release titles and dumbed down versions of 360 and ps3 games. with the kinect and move out, there is absolutely no point any "gamer" should have a Wii. its obsolete in every way. and that cant be denied.

@FSAWK Yeah Mario's cool, but i already played Resident Evil 4... On the gamecube and PS2. RE5 isnt on the Wii. Wii owners cant enjoy that game. The Wii ain't that good. Sure it has some great games, but it's really lacking in games that involve actual storylines, plots, and characters with depth. Sorry Virtual Console doesn't count, and neither does rehashed games like RE4 which I played on the PS2. Wii is simply a dry console all around. I enjoy a good mario game at times, but sorry Mario doesn't have any storyline, plot, or even character. I have no interest paying for, and replaying Mario 64 which I beat on the N64.

The Wii gets an 8/10 because it has virtual console and epic games, but there are less of them. Also, the graphics are not upgraded, and the internet is slow sometimes.

I love the wii and all (P.S. i have ps3 & wii, getting a 360) and i dont mind the graphics and games but.... the only problem i have is that you have to put in a random12 digit code in order to add your friends on wiiconnect24, and when you do... they don't even get a notification that you requested them to be friends. I hope they make an update to fix that problem but other than that... i love the wii as much as my ps3 and i love its games especially Super Smash Bros Brawl & Call of Duty 4.....

You can add players you even met online (through the servers, not through sites, but you can do that too) and I heard it's going to have a up to four person Zombie mode. 1) wii has to many games made for non gamers, yes graphics suck but even snes had fun games back in the day, not games fom granies, mothers and small children
2) Buying games on wii might be ok but come on, if I want tio play for example N64 games i will buy a N64 and get over 300 games not a wii just to be able to play a few games, come on goldeneye N64 is not even on the wii, what a joke

Hey its a business and in the end ego and benchmarking numbers do not compete with profit. But after all throwing money at a problem without innovating generally gets you that its like that in most industries. First of all I own wii the miis don't do shit the internet is so slow the games are in bad quality and how would you play a video game by using a remote. The ps3 has awesome quality I can go on what ever website I want and its so fast Online is awesome on the Ps3 and If you think about it a wii is a psp except white and not mobile.

Its not just the quality its the gameplay play and controls the only games I could think of that would be good for the wii is Brawl and Super mario bros wii. The Internet is useless the miis are useless and the news and weather channels aren't needed and everything else is retarded.

so agree, but I still say that if u want to play fun games get a sega dreamcast because it has over 90% good games and with the homebrew scene the system never fells old
