  • fucking guitar!!!

  • He sings backwords like the devil,Vince a true talent.

  • his pants weren't tight enough that night

  • Vince is drunk and lazy thats why he misses words! Hahaha he is the man though, crue without him?

  • @Albergo306 that could be part of the reason, but I really believe the song is a bitch to sing. he still pulls it off tho, look at the crowd going nutts, they love it...I'd do anything to be there yelling "SHOUT!"

  • @Rattmaster86 ya and he's drunk/ high, Lol. I saw a crue show in red deer canada and he wanted the crowd to sing so he could skip words, as usual, but no one in the crowd knew the words so vince had to sing the whole show. He kicked ass too! I'm a big fan of vince. Its the crue, they've had some less than perfect live shows cuz they were fucked up on ridiculous amounts of drugs and alcohol. Thats why they're legends!

  • @Rattmaster86

I'm a singer... it's fucking pain in the ass singing this. Vince Neil <3

  • @Albergo306 vince was sober in 85-86

  • What the hell is that?? Vince doesn't even bother to say the full lyrics!

  • @tzzlite he's always done that, it's just his style. this song is difficult to sing, so he skips words to save his breath for certain high notes and verses. for me it doesn't take anything away from the song, its a good powerful performance. I haven't heard it done better by anyone else, even if somebody can sing all the words it's just not them some sung by anyone else but Vince.

  • Its ok he missed some words its in Germany they prob didnt even notice

  • yeah, being hopped up on coke can make a singer skip half the words during a live performance. David Lee Roth had the same problem. snnnnooorrrrrrk

  • I like thembetter wen they were on coke abck then tho vince skipepd half the words still sounded good like his little girl voice back then.

Notice mick can play rhytm and lead ats ame time as if they had two guitarists guess he had to sicne nikki was out of it half the time.

  • Damn is Micks Guitar out of tune?

  • I am seeing them live next saturday ! :D

  • props to nikki for bein able to pull himself together for this shit. go read the heroine diaries man!

  • anymore of these pro-shot videos?

  • @neverscrub12 from the Theater of Pain tour...no. Only 3 songs...shout, live wire, helter skelter.

  • KRAMER GUITARS ARE EPIC best are KLINE graphic series im a kramer fan and a kramer club member

  • tu eh heh

  • Oh my god, Vince sounds so GOOD, the crüe sound so good, this is why they are the best live performing band ever! God, i want more Crüe!! Vince is SEXY!!!

  • vince sounds awful!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @1997superninja you have been overruled

  • VINCE NEIL ROCKS!!!

    LONG LIVE THE CRÜE!!

  • mick's theatre of pain kramer is one of the coolest guitars i've seen. wish he still played it. it's so much more fitting for metal than that beat up strat he uses.

  • @66jtm45 I believe he gave this guitar to the hard rock cafe, autographed...

  • To everyone who is bitching about Vince's voice--yeah he isn't the best. But the guys at the front of house behind the mixing boards can make or break a performance. I'll bet none of us could do what he does night after night for 90-plus minutes with all the booze and drugs! If you could or can, you wouldn't be reading this...

  • Just watch the 83 US festival- Vince's voice was shot for that too- the gig of their young career and wasn't any better. The guy just can't sing well, consistently live, just like Ozzy.

  • @biffbyford Not that Vince's voice was shot as much as they had never played using such a big PA system. Until then it was clubs. Also, this early in his career he still really hadn't gotten his stage voice yet. Check out the vids from Tacoma '87 and Vince is fucking awesome!

  • <3 at 1.14 - 1.16 Vince is just 'AAAAA' instead of 'laugh and' :p

  • Vince has always had embarrassing live performances, he is always good for a laugh. MC was a garage band that peeked at the correct time . I still loved them back in the day.

  • Vince sounds like a dog fart

  • They werent tired they were just really f***ed up on drugs and shit.

  • Remember that this was at the very end of the tour, so it was long and exhausting journey for them. Watch the Detroit, or Long Island gigs in 1985 which was a lot earlier in the tour for better performances...

  • vince is always loaded drunk not winded and out of breath drunk and high they all were

  • "tear in your eye, temebaula, inamagureh! weeuhla, lowaleeulah! round and round!"

  • Wow. Vince Neil is just a pathetic singer.

  • Wow. Motley Crue should stay in the studio. Vince Neil sounds just pathetic.

  • Considering what these guys were putting themselves through back then, they were lucky they could get it this good...damn drugs and women.

  • SOUNDS LIKE SHIT

  • i luv crue...and vinces issues start with being live....

  • Vince is fucking drunk....

  • I think Vince was a bit under the influence, but he often misses some of the words his brain can't remember em all

  • Sounds like shit. Heard him play it with his own touring band and did it PERFECTLY

  • it would be funny to hear a direct recording of vince's vocals off the board. "whaa...shout...yaddda yaddda...ughhhh....shout.....yo....huh...." lol. I don't care how big of a MC fan one is, they have to admit Vince was off his nut that night.

  • this is awesome!!

  • I Love Vince but this is the only song I don't like to hear him sing live

  • @keriandjesse69 Too be fair to Vince, this is a very difficult song to sing. Complicated lyrics, mixed with the style it must be sung, and the pitch changes makes it hard for anyone to sing. I can't do it for sure, I have a friend who sings in a professional 80's metal cover band in many clubs here in Bangkok, Thailand. His band covers "shout at the devil" and he said it himself, the song is very hard to sing...

  • @Rattmaster86 yeah that's understandable, it's difficult for me to sing it in my room haha but I'm no professional. And I don't see Motley Crue doing a concert without playing that song

  • @Rattmaster86 I totally agree.

I tried to sing it with a pro band , (i asked for mic because we hired them so i could do that) and oh my god it`s extremely difficult to sing it, like you said Complicated Lyrics, High notes all the time. The actual singer of that band told me the same, that it was very difficult.

Actually i think Vince did it great here, i have listened to other Vince`s performances where he couldn`t make it. I love Vince though. As i singer i mean.

  • @steelman1691 Vince was able to sing the song all through the 80's and early 90's. It was the late 90's and recent times that he lost it touch, he hasn't been able to sing in properly in about 10 years.

  • @steelman1691 Yeah, I bet it's a hard song to sing.

  • @Rattmaster86 very true, short fast verse..I at least wish people would stop complaining about his singing then because he's been singing this song the same way since the album came out.

  • Okay, so... Watched numerous '80s live vids of M.C. and am disappointed in Vince's voice. He only sings portions of each verse. He seems so winded and out of breath.

  • @SalandFindles I understand what you mean. It sucks that Vince doesn't sing every word. But to be fair, it doesn't ruin the song or performance, especially in the 80's, if he skipped a word or two, it was fine cuz he still sang well. When he does it nowadays, it sounds pretty bad, but he's trying, and the Crue is still alive and kicking ass.

When you're at the show you don't notice he does that, too much going on. Its only when re-watching vids online, that you notice little things.

  • Okay, so I've watched numerous live videos of M.C. live back in the '80s and I must say that I'm disappointed in Vince Neil's voice. It was awesome on the album, but he only sings a portion of each verse and seems winded, out of breath.

  • Vince is a much much better frontman than he is a singer of any kind.. Mick Mars wanted him in the band because he realized that the girls were wetting themselves just looking at him on stage. He told Nikki and Tommy I dont care if the guy can sing or not thats the guy we need to have in our band. Mick Mars came up with the name and he's the one who made it a complete band by making Nikki and Tommy vote for Vince as well. Crue had another singer. He was known as O'Dean! No jack ball you are!!!

  • I have seen Motley Crue 5 times live and 2 times Vince Neil on his own, everytime Vince hasn´t dissapointed me, i have enjoyed his performance everytime, i know he hasn´t the best voice in rock´n´roll but he is cool, however i understand that he has had bad nights specially in latter times.

  • Oy fuckface I didnt ask for a history of Motley Crue, I like Vince's voice but come on the guy sings like a monkey coming out of his ass in this live version. Motherfucker, I know a lot about Crue and don't need no worthless cock like you giving me crappy opinion.

  • Vince was never the best singer live. Even in 1981.

  • vince neil is like magic in studio, yeah he do sucks sometimes live, but he is a legend

  • Vince really does suck!!!

  • What the Hell, Vince sings half the words now and half of those are wrong!

  • I hated How They Looked Here, They Looked The Best SATD era or GGG era. nice video btw... Thanx

  • girls girls girls, nikki was the coolest mother fucker around

  • this IS the GGG tour

  • its the TOP tour...GGG came in 87'

  • i have no clue why i thought it was GGG tour when i wrote that

  • I LOVE NIKKI SIXX!

  • HE IS SOOOOO HOT *_*

  • I'm a wolf screaming lonely in the night... :D
