War crimes: Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib, leading the country to war based on bad information aka lying.
I want us to go into Sudan? No, I don't. And no, I don't want to blame the US for the wreck that Somalia is. Ultimately, they're a sovereign country and the responsibility for the shape of their country is up to the Somalians.

Can't anyone see that Iraq is a strategic acquisition in the global battle between the U.S./Europe vs. China. Most of the world is controlled now by a select few who dictate the policy of population control, resource management and public opinion. Paul Jay maybe needs to work on his demeanor a little. He's a clever guy, but he needs to learn not to stare right through the head of the person he's interviewing - cause it appears quite rude.
The Iraqis are right to be afraid !! the americans haven't spent trillions of dollars and spilled and ocean of blood , just to leave in three yrs , no I'm afraid the us is in Iraq for the long haul .
why wouldn't they be afraid? the us gov't has committed genocide and directly and indirectly killed several million people over the past decade alone in iraq and has caused many more to flee.
says the person who has never been to iraq. I served their for a year in construction and have relatives in the city of kut. All the deaths i saw were done by internal forces not americans. The only thing you can say that would discredit the americans is the sole fact that their wouldn't be iraqi's killing iraqi's if the US haddn't invaded but the bottom line is there would still be iraqi's dying regardless of whether or not the US invaded.
i have not been to iraq but i have access to statistics and facts.
there wouldn't be a civil war had not the us invaded. that was my point. people died in iraq under saddam, but there was not a civil during his reign.
another thing i was referencing is the un sanctions under clinton that cut off access to food and medicine and killed 500,000 children. look that up. neither of us witnessed that, i presume. that is another indirect act of genocide.
poop, Clinton isn't to blame for the sanctions against Saddam, Saddam is. We and the UN don't sanction people for fun. America didn't sanction Poland or Mexico or Australia. Saddam was sanctioned due to his evil acts. He and only he is responsible for the sanctions leveled against him, not Clinton. If anyone starved due to the sanctions, this is Saddam's fault and doubly worse since he was pocketing billions thru oil for fraud, which he could have fed them with.
tell the thousands of Kurds killed with sarin and mustard gas that there was no civil war..tell the millions that were tortured and put in mass graves under Saddam there was no civil war..just because there was no free press to show you fucktards on CNN does not mean it didn't take place..they tortured with decapitation and rape..we used waterboards ..see the difference dumbass?
And the sanctions didn't hurt Saddam at all did it? He didn't go a day without eating I would beat. Clinton didn't just help start sanctions but bombed the country. And to the user below, the US helped Saddam use chemical weapons in the Iran-Iraq war after Saddam invaded Iran.
overmind, Saddam is to blame for the sanctions leveled against his country due to his actions, notClinton, whether he felt the pain or not, and your comment about the US helping Saddam use chemical weapons is a lie, Saddam bought chemicals that could be used as pre-cursors for WMD's from some US companies until this was discovered by the Reagan administration and stopped. We don't give WMD's to dictators and we never gave so much as a vial of anthrax to Saddam. You can cite no news source onthat
Saddam (who the CIA helped bring to power) is to blame for his ordered genocide, not the US pointing guns at those who wished to trade with sick or well Iraqi citizens. Clinton is a mass murderer and so is Albright who said the price of killing hundreds of thousands of people was "worth it". Saddam didn't go a day without eating and he could just use that as an excuse to have more control on the nation by pointing to western crimes.
The US did help Saddam use chemical weapons and Reagan covered it up. Do a simple goggle search or look on a journal article sight. Israel actually sold them the weapons as well as Iran at the same time. I will give you a link to a history channel clip though since I can post the watch link and not a website. watch?v=gy9z5lGqXDI
overmind, no the chemical weapons fantasy is a internet myth for idiots. You won't find any mainstream news source that says Reagan gave Saddam WMD's because he didn't. The truth of the story is that Saddam bought chemicals from American companies that could be used as pre-cursors for WMD's until the Reagan administration found out about this and put an end to it. We've never given any WMD's to dictators, including Saddam. There is no news source that says otherwise.
"we didn't give them to him, we helped him use them" hmmmm. Well that's a lie too. "We helped him use chemical weapons". How was this, please detail, and don't give me any crap about conventional weapons we aided him with because he was fighting the people who had just kidnapped our civilians for 400 days. I want to know what tools for emitting gas, or other chemical weapons "help" we provided Saddam that are specific to chemical weapons, with the news source for it, because it never happened.
Even though citing youtube videos as sources is usually only done by stupid people, in this instance your video is just tape of the History Channel, so it's probably reliable, if it's not edited. It does not say what you claim. Nowhere in this History Channel video does it say we helped Saddam use his chemical weapons. We didn't. We've been against the use of chemical weapons for a century, and we certainly never aid dictators in using them. It cites military help, none specific to WMD's.
I told you it was a history channel video and I stated I linked you to a youtube video because you cannot link websites in the comment section....Just because it is from the history channel does not mean it is reliable. I guess I am going to have to pin point the parts in the clip since you are going to continue your talking points and excuses.
4:18-end US fudges reports about chemical weapons and the Reagan administration knew that Saddam was using them. 3:17 Israel sells chemical weapons to Iran and Iraq
Do a simple google search or a journal article search if you have the access at a university. It is not only the history channel that has reported this.
You as using we to refer to a nation that has human leaders that has changed multiple times. The US has armed and has helped install dictatorships and death squads worldwide. Iran 1953, Guatemala 1954, Congo 1960, Cambodia 1970 Indonesia 1965, Nicaragua 1981the list goes one After the US government canceled elections in Vietnam and helped support Deim, the dictator in the South, it used agent orange on the people.
overmind, nothing that's in the video says the Reagan administration helped Saddam use chemical weapons. They didn't. "a simple google search" would turn up thousands of conspiracy fairy sites. News articles that you can keyword for me here without a link, and I know you won't, because they don't exist, that detail how the US helped Saddam use chemical weapons would prove your point. You won't cite them because they don't exist.
I just gave you the time frame in the history channel video. You can choose to ignore it all you wish and what it states. I will do this one last time because you seem you already have made up your mind that they do not exist despite the video I have linked you too and the easy access of the information.
Last comment overmind, I guess what you're trying to say is the US should not have allegedly pushed for the UN to only say chemical weapons were being used in the Iran-Iraq war. You're not claiming, because it would be totally false, that we helped Saddam use chemical weapons; including any materials or technology related to it. There is no evidence that the small aid we gave him (because he was fighting a country that had just kidnapped our people) was related in anyway to chemical weapons.
No I am stating we helped him use chemical weapons because we knew he was using him but we still gave him battlefield and technological aid and then tried to stop reports coming out that the Iraq was using chemical weapons. The US was not the only country that gave him aid.
When you say a country that kidnapped our people you have to know that the US state held the whole of Iran hostage after it overthrew Irans PM in 53 and helped to reinstall and then fund a dictatorial monarch that was then overthrown.
overmind, the video makes the claim, that after we gave Saddam aid in fighting Iran, none of which had anything to do with chemical weapons, that Reagan, according to documents, knew Saddam was using chemical weapons against Iran. No where does the History Channel claim we helped him use those weapons in your video. You apparently can't understand your own video and are trying to make it say something that fits a pre-conceived wrong idea. It never says we helped Saddam use chemical weapons.
overmind, again, we don't sanction people for fun, we didn't sanction France or Belgium, Iraq was sanctioned because of Saddam's actions and he is to blame for the sanctions, not Clinton or the UN.
statistics can be manipulated to say anything..look at the purple fingers held proudly as a display to the would be oppressors after the first free election in Iraq for half a century..freedom is not free and our fight is not against the Iraqi people you fucktard..it is against those that love something other than liberty and will fight peace at all cost...would you have had the Iraqis live in the oppression they did indefinitely? what would have been your solution for Iraq Einstein?
sure, stats can be manipulated, but they definitely have more relevance than the oversimplifying and in many ways blatantly false slogans you rely on like "freedom is not free" and "we love liberty, they hate it."
my solution is a simple one. stop pretending that we have the authority to police the world. i don't have much faith that the us will install a stable gov't in iraq, or that they want to. remember the us aided saddam for at least half of his rule, even when he was gassing the kurds.
truer words were never spoken my friend..these idiots still claim the people of Iraq were happier under Saddam..i call bullshit on that..people always would choose freedom over oppression..
truer words were never spoken my friend..these idiots still claim the people of Iraq were happier under Saddam..i call bullshit on that..people always would choose freedom over oppression..
First, where do you get your numbers?Second,do you have an understanding of cause and effect?
Saddam has the heavy karma from ruling the way he did.We have helped the Iraqis out of his tyranny. The people of Iraq deserve peace.lasting peace without the oppression of some cleric or dictator.A peace that stems from self government. If you were fortunate enough to have participated in this process more than once,or to have served the country that makes it possible,we would not need this discussion!
ocean of blood? we lost more soldiers in one day of fighting during the invasion of Normandy during WWII than we have in this entire police action..peace is not cheap and it is sad that even one life has been lost, but those that hate liberty, hate us and that is simply how it is..
so you think their Liberty should be paid for only with our blood? Freedom is very much a currency..it is not guaranteed by any documents derived by man..it is paid for by those who see its value..often we have those that are appearing as innocent caught as collateral..either way the Iraqi people will be better without the oppressive rule of the tyrant and only the purple fingers shown from free elections will prevail in the end!

i would have to say that the us GOVERNMENT has committed crimes against humanity in Iraq ! and Iraq's misery isn't going to end anytime soon ! sadly
oliversinhell 3 years ago
i have not been to iraq but i have access to statistics and facts.
there wouldn't be a civil war had not the us invaded. that was my point. people died in iraq under saddam, but there was not a civil during his reign.
another thing i was referencing is the un sanctions under clinton that cut off access to food and medicine and killed 500,000 children. look that up. neither of us witnessed that, i presume. that is another indirect act of genocide.

poop, Clinton isn't to blame for the sanctions against Saddam, Saddam is. We and the UN don't sanction people for fun. America didn't sanction Poland or Mexico or Australia. Saddam was sanctioned due to his evil acts. He and only he is responsible for the sanctions leveled against him, not Clinton. If anyone starved due to the sanctions, this is Saddam's fault and doubly worse since he was pocketing billions thru oil for fraud, which he could have fed them with.

tell the thousands of Kurds killed with sarin and mustard gas that there was no civil war..tell the millions that were tortured and put in mass graves under Saddam there was no civil war..just because there was no free press to show you fucktards on CNN does not mean it didn't take place..they tortured with decapitation and rape..we used waterboards ..see the difference dumbass?
buzzmaxwell 3 years ago
And the sanctions didn't hurt Saddam at all did it? He didn't go a day without eating I would beat. Clinton didn't just help start sanctions but bombed the country. And to the user below, the US helped Saddam use chemical weapons in the Iran-Iraq war after Saddam invaded Iran.
overmind25 3 years ago
overmind, Saddam is to blame for the sanctions leveled against his country due to his actions, notClinton, whether he felt the pain or not, and your comment about the US helping Saddam use chemical weapons is a lie, Saddam bought chemicals that could be used as pre-cursors for WMD's from some US companies until this was discovered by the Reagan administration and stopped. We don't give WMD's to dictators and we never gave so much as a vial of anthrax to Saddam. You can cite no news source onthat
RuflessRecords 3 years ago
Saddam (who the CIA helped bring to power) is to blame for his ordered genocide, not the US pointing guns at those who wished to trade with sick or well Iraqi citizens. Clinton is a mass murderer and so is Albright who said the price of killing hundreds of thousands of people was "worth it". Saddam didn't go a day without eating and he could just use that as an excuse to have more control on the nation by pointing to western crimes.
overmind25 3 years ago
The US did help Saddam use chemical weapons and Reagan covered it up. Do a simple goggle search or look on a journal article sight. Israel actually sold them the weapons as well as Iran at the same time. I will give you a link to a history channel clip though since I can post the watch link and not a website. watch?v=gy9z5lGqXDI
overmind25 3 years ago
overmind, no the chemical weapons fantasy is a internet myth for idiots.
RuflessRecords 3 years ago
I never said we gave him chemical weapons. I said we helped him use them. Israel sold chemical weapons to both Iraq and Iran.
overmind25 3 years ago
"we didn't give them to him, we helped him use them" hmmmm. Well that's a lie too. "We helped him use chemical weapons". How was this, please detail, and don't give me any crap about conventional weapons we aided him with because he was fighting the people who had just kidnapped our civilians for 400 days. I want to know what tools for emitting gas, or other chemical weapons "help" we provided Saddam that are specific to chemical weapons, with the news source for it, because it never happened.
RuflessRecords 3 years ago
Even though citing youtube videos as sources is usually only done by stupid people, in this instance your video is just tape of the History Channel, so it's probably reliable, if it's not edited. It does not say what you claim. Nowhere in this History Channel video does it say we helped Saddam use his chemical weapons. We didn't. We've been against the use of chemical weapons for a century, and we certainly never aid dictators in using them. It cites military help, none specific to WMD's.
RuflessRecords 3 years ago
I told you it was a history channel video and I stated I linked you to a youtube video because you cannot link websites in the comment section....Just because it is from the history channel does not mean it is reliable. I guess I am going to have to pin point the parts in the clip since you are going to continue your talking points and excuses.
overmind25 3 years ago
4:18-end US fudges reports about chemical weapons and the Reagan administration knew that Saddam was using them. 3:17 Israel sells chemical weapons to Iran and Iraq
Do a simple google search or a journal article search if you have the access at a university. It is not only the history channel that has reported this.
overmind25 3 years ago
You as using we to refer to a nation that has human leaders that has changed multiple times. The US has armed and has helped install dictatorships and death squads worldwide. Iran 1953, Guatemala 1954, Congo 1960, Cambodia 1970 Indonesia 1965, Nicaragua 1981the list goes one After the US government canceled elections in Vietnam and helped support Deim, the dictator in the South, it used agent orange on the people.
overmind25 3 years ago
overmind, nothing that's in the video says the Reagan administration helped Saddam use chemical weapons. They didn't. "a simple google search" would turn up thousands of conspiracy fairy sites. News articles that you can keyword for me here without a link, and I know you won't, because they don't exist, that detail how the US helped Saddam use chemical weapons would prove your point. You won't cite them because they don't exist.
RuflessRecords 3 years ago
I just gave you the time frame in the history channel video. You can choose to ignore it all you wish and what it states. I will do this one last time because you seem you already have made up your mind that they do not exist despite the video I have linked you too and the easy access of the information.

Iraqi General: US Helped Us as We Used Chemical Weapons
overmind25 3 years ago
Last comment overmind, I guess what you're trying to say is the US should not have allegedly pushed for the UN to only say chemical weapons were being used in the Iran-Iraq war. You're not claiming, because it would be totally false, that we helped Saddam use chemical weapons; including any materials or technology related to it. There is no evidence that the small aid we gave him (because he was fighting a country that had just kidnapped our people) was related in anyway to chemical weapons.
RuflessRecords 3 years ago
No I am stating we helped him use chemical weapons because we knew he was using him but we still gave him battlefield and technological aid and then tried to stop reports coming out that the Iraq was using chemical weapons. The US was not the only country that gave him aid.
overmind25 3 years ago
When you say a country that kidnapped our people you have to know that the US state held the whole of Iran hostage after it overthrew Irans PM in 53 and helped to reinstall and then fund a dictatorial monarch that was then overthrown.
overmind25 3 years ago
overmind, the video makes the claim, that after we gave Saddam aid in fighting Iran, none of which had anything to do with chemical weapons, that Reagan, according to documents, knew Saddam was using chemical weapons against Iran.

RuflessRecords 3 years ago
I never said we did it for fun. I said sanctioning Iraq helped lead to mass death.
overmind25 3 years ago
, and was not effective against Saddam but was "worth it" according to the Clinton administration.

statistics can be manipulated to say anything..look at the purple fingers held proudly as a display to the would be oppressors after the first free election in Iraq for half a century..freedom is not free and our fight is not against the Iraqi people you fucktard..it is against those that love something other than liberty and will fight peace at all cost...would you have had the Iraqis live in the oppression they did indefinitely? what would have been your solution for Iraq Einstein?
buzzmaxwell 3 years ago
sure, stats can be manipulated, but they definitely have more relevance than the oversimplifying and in many ways blatantly false slogans you rely on like "freedom is not free" and "we love liberty, they hate it."
my solution is a simple one. stop pretending that we have the authority to police the world. i don't have much faith that the us will install a stable gov't in iraq, or that they want to. remember the us aided saddam for at least half of his rule, even when he was gassing the kurds.

If you were fortunate enough to have participated in this process more than once,or to have served the country that makes it possible,we would not need this discussion!
buzzmaxwell 3 years ago
ocean of blood? we lost more soldiers in one day of fighting during the invasion of Normandy during WWII than we have in this entire police action..peace is not cheap and it is sad that even one life has been lost, but those that hate liberty, hate us and that is simply how it is..
buzzmaxwell 3 years ago
i was referring to the ocean of Iraqi blood !!! as for liberty , most Americans don't even understand the word !
oliversinhell 3 years ago
so you think their Liberty should be paid for only with our blood? Freedom is very much a currency..it is not guaranteed by any documents derived by man..it is paid for by those who see its value..often we have those that are appearing as innocent caught as collateral..either way the Iraqi people will be better without the oppressive rule of the tyrant and only the purple fingers shown from free elections will prevail in the end!
