And they wonder why they are hated so much by joe public,I am the law and you will do what i say attitude....Well i say up yours prick get cocky out of the uniform and the story becomes different
@JollyRodders Thanks, I was actually surpirsed when the police acted like this on camera. I expected them to have a little more restraint and knowledge in the law since they are carrying guns. I guess thats why they went on a power trip because carrying a gun must have some effect on your personality.
Yeah, I've been filmed without my consent on by the police more times than I remember; particularly on demonstrations in public streets. What gives them the right to do it, but we can't film them?
At 3:45 the cop talks about being polite to ask people in the street if they mind being photographed - as though he's a private person minding his own business. He's not! he's a police officer who is carrying out a public action. He certainly couldn't use that argument in response. And ye, well done to the reporter
Well done for holding it together under a lot of pressure. It looked to me that the cop realised he had gone to far and was concerned that there would be a complaint made.
It's interesting that the copper is asking not to be filmed in the name of politeness. I would say that, if they were acting in a personal capacity, then they would be entitled to courteous treatment, but as police officers, they should expect to be filmed. In fact, to do so is essential to ensure that they do not abuse their considerable powers.
Furthermore, to use the immortal words of PC Plods in authoritarian regimes everywhere: If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear.!
everytime the police react like this, to being filmed, it is a good idea to state, "with a track record of police abusing powers, i am filming for my protection". they would have no logical argument against that.
Well the police could of started on a different foot as well then , You started the conversation by saying we are in a public place to which he reply'd "I DON'T CARE" if that's not starting on a bad note then what is ? GREAT WORK AS USUAL MATE !
