  • Needs tuba.

  • Great playing. Now they just need to turn the lights down low and open up a bar and serve drinks.

  • @gfunk49 lol,,You really made me laugh,

  • Great! I love this instrument) my dream is to play on it)

  • Do anyone knows how the Bose L1 system sound connected to a digital piano or keyboard ? Bose seem to advertise strongly with guitars and singers, but not keyboards.

    Thanks in advance.

  • In this video, it is used to play a Roland Drum machine. For keys, just run them in it like any amp. With the remote, you can control EQ if needed. The problem with live video is, the subtly of the live performance is missing. This video used a brush set. On youtube, it just sounds like banging instead of a subtle jazz/brush drummer.

  • I REALLY LOVE your "Ole Hymns" video and just wanted to share something with you. Even though I'm college/classically trained on piano, pipe organ and harpsichord. Weeeeeelll, my Mr Hyde persona came out, you see, I also have perfect pitch and can play by ear. Well, I got bored this afternoon and relistened to Ole Hymns a few times, then ran my computer sound out into my stereo, CRANKED te volume and had the time of my life, playing with you," so to speak. I'd love to do it in peron. Ken

  • visiting and playing would depend a great deal if I knew where you are? What's the church's name, and who built the organ, man, having grown up on the likes of The Old Rugged Cross,Power in the Blood and such and it makes me just melt to hear them played the way you did and ngelical, southern gospel, organ and piano by ear with perfect pitch too.

Send me a snail mail or email address and i'll show you some pics of what I get to play on each Sunday and Wed choir rehearsal.

  • All the info is on this page and in the credits of each video.

  • I cannot fault the performance here or the instrument but am I the only one who found the choice of song rather a bit inappropriate for the location?

  • This was not a church concert. It was an afternoon concert of the Dallas Organ Society, a 55 year old organ club originally called the Hammond Organ Society. In other words, it was a "pops" concert.

  • Call it a pops concert or whatever you like, I have no problems with the type of music, just the location, I see a communion table at the organist's back and it very clearly reads "This do in remembrance of Me," and the organist doing the spectacular playing need only look up and forward to see the cross hanging on the wall in front of him. So, no, musically, it was not a "Church," concert, technically no matter how much others may disagree with me on this one, I still vote, inappropriate.

  • How's that "being perfect" thing workin' for ya? The body of Christ is the people, not the building. If you don't like it, don't do it in your church. But that wasn't your church, was it?

  • A church, house of worship, temple, whatever you want to call it, belongs not to we humans, But to God and to be used as a place to gather one with another and worship Him. Scripture is quite clear that it is to be treated with reverence and worship. 2nd, I was only voicing my thoughts and opinions, not attacking you personally, like you did me. As for "the perfect thing," as you put it, it's doing GREAT ! Matt 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect !

  • Rather than attack you, I will tell you this, the one you titled Ole Hymn Medley, was absolutely FANTASTIC!! I've listend to it like 5 or 6 times now and everytime Allen Renaissance Quantum, 3 manual, try to hurry and approximate registration before what I'm trying to emulate in your playing can slip from my mind. If you ever put more like this up, count me in as a fan of that type of "church," music and you really need to look into getting that published and I want the first autographed copy

  • Sorry, I really didn't mean to be a smarta**. But millions of dollars in church property set empty, unused except for a couple of hours a week. People stay away in droves on Sunday morning. No "glory" in that. I am glad some congregations envision using the building to "minister" to the community. We are lucky to have the use of the building and a versatile instrument. Glad you liked the hymns. Come play for us sometime. We are always looking to feature new artists of any style.
