@gera1690 Hi, thanks. It takes a wee bit of practice to get that alternating bass going, once used to it you can knock out some wicked tunes, almost limitless what you can play too.
Hey thanks for that! Well spotted too, one of the very first tunes I learned to play was John Henry on the 5 string banjo in d tuning!!! I took the same approach for this tune.
Hi, thanks for that, I'm glad you liked it. I based this on a tune i heard a long time ago i think it was called Express Train Blues by Steve Phillips, the tune stuck with me and i put this together based on what i could remember, guitar is in D tuning if that also helps.

The constant low D with thumb is great. I hear bits of "Vastapol" and "John Henry" in there. Very traditional uses of open-D.
