  • true scriptural song! Live on Word of GOD1

  • It looks like He's the only one Who can stop it, atweleung.

  • Let's pray for God's intervention in stopping the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico

  • @atwleung

    Dear God help

In Jesus name but if it is your will then I trust you.

  • Let's pray for God's intervention in stopping the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

  • This needs to be our prayer in America on this National Day of Prayer!!!!

  • nobody wants to hear this song anymore or even the TRUTH of the LORD'S word, they are been lie to by the teaching of ETERNAL SECURITY which was first preach in the garden, to Eve by the enemy.

  • I believe Michael Card wrote this son for the United States National Day of Prayer back in the mid 1980's.

I believe James Dobson was the chairman that year and had asked Michael Card to write a song for the day.

    Michael Card absolutely nailed it.

  • Whether or not this was meant for the Nation of Israel, it's still true for all the earth.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.

    Ps. 33:12

  • @broadwayprincess Amen!!

  • Hi back. Oh yes we definitely have the same Root.

  • Interesting, hyoboy. Did he say why?

  • I suspect it's because that he learned that that was an improper use of of that passage of scripture.

  • And why is that, Pooshhead? Is God a man, that he can lie and change His mind?

  • Hi back No not all. He never changes His mind. But that passage of Scripture was only for the nation and Land Of Israel for that particular time and place, not the United States, Canada (my country) or anywhere else. The people that are called by His name and that of His Son are the people of His church. And we're in every land.

  • Hmmm. I guess I think we have the same root:

But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant toward the branches; but if you are arrogant, remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root supports you.

    (Romans 11:17-18)

  • i actually met michael card one on one two years ago and we were able to have chat about 45 minutes. he told me he doesn't play this song anymore~!

  • Thanks, JesusMovement! I wish more people would sing this song ... and then take heed to the Lord's Words.

    Blessings to you!

  • yeah no kidding, the state of the church would be much better
