Rob Thomas just has an uncanny ability to write amazingly catchy stuff. Even though the whole band I think pretty much contributed to the new songs, his songwriting is fantastic. Not as MB20 sounding as the older stuff in my opinion but still great nonetheless.

I'm a huge MB20 fan and when this album first came out I hated it. I have to say though, it's grown on me A LOT. I do really love it and I think that if you listen to it not expecting old MB20 it helps. I dled the songs on itunes then burned it onto one cd and with I hadn't. Listening to the new songs is plesent, listening to the new songs followed my the old is not.
