  • what a song bhayya!!

  • song as pure as the Ganga. Proud to have people like sirivennela, keeravani and vishwanath garu in telugu film industry

  • friends it is sunita or chitra ? pls tell me...

  • @kondapalli1000

    It is Chitra....

  • what a beautiful song.....hats of sirivennela garu, keeravani gaaru and Kalatapaswi gaaru :)

  • hi what a song this is

  • Its not Chitra its Sunita

  • River Ganges is divine.. so is this song!

  • Chitra gari voice, Sastri gari lyrics and Keeravani gari Music, its a master piece!!

  • A woman also takes birth in a different home and after her marriage she changes herself to adopt to the living circumstances of her husband and serves them ... just like the mother ganges ... fantastic work by sirivennela garu

  • @instinctz27

    Beg to differ.

The Holy Ganges buds in a pristine place, and with grace, she plows through the countryside sprouting green shoots of life, accepting the foul debris of human trash. But, even with this calumny upon her generous face, she makes it to the consummation of the Ocean.

Wouldn't this be a better description 'of a woman' - rather than serving 'her husband's circumstances'

    Serve? No!

Mother Ganga cheerfully lets those who wish to imbibe of her infinite beauties - do so.

  • @cave000canem I differ with your interpretation of the word "SERVE". Serving is a god's art, he serves us all! That's how I see it!

  • This is a brilliant work by sirivennela ... actually the lyricist wants to describe the life of a woman by describing a river. Just like a river takes birth from the feet of lord vishnu and after reaching the earth takes various forms to clean up the sins of the people.

    Naresh

  • hey milestone best job ultimate

can u or anybody please give me the link for downloading these songs plzzzzzzzzzz

  • adbhuta saahityam, sangeetam, aalapana

  • Pretext: Ganga is the Holy River Ganges. The singer treats the holy river Ganges so close to her heart that she calles Her Gangamma (Ganga + Amma - mother Ganges)

It is believed that Lord Shiva resides on Himagiri. The river Ganges is contained in Lord Shiva's Jhatajhutam [hairs] on Bhagiradha's request, before coming down to earth, to control its flow

    Contd...

  • heroine is personified as river ganga..!

  • Great Work Buddy.....I liked this song ever since my childhood but never got into the indepth meaning of the same....Thanks a ton.....you made my day....:)

  • Nadi sandramlo nee gadapedamma gangamma

Meaning: In the middle of an ocean, what is your abode

    Neelala kannullo sandrame |Hileso|

Meaning: Blue eyes themselves contain ocean

    Ningi neelamanta sandrame |Hileso|

Meaning: The sky blueness itself is an ocean

    Contd...

  • kadali kaugilini kadigaavante gangammaaa

    nee rupedamma nee rangedamma

Meaning: If you washed Earth & Embrace, where is your shape and color? The beauty is water takes shape of the container, so the singer is teasing Ganges by saying that her shape & color are lost when she stepped on earth

Also can be seen as a comparison to a woman's life. Once she takes birth on earth, her identity is tied around the relations she has. Once she embraces her loved one, she loses self

    Contd...

  • Good job milestowalk but pl note the subtle correction. Its "kaDali kougilini karigavante" and not kadigavante. kaDali means SEA/OCEAN-meaning if you embrace sea/ocean,whats your shape/whats your colour?......etc

  • Hari paadaana puttavante Gangamma

Meaning: Oh Ganges! have you emerged from the feet of Lord Vishnu (Hari)

    Sri Hari paadaana Puttavante Gangammaa

Meaning: Oh Ganges! has emerged from the feet of Sri Lord Vishnu (Respectable Hari)

    Aa himagiri pi adugettavante gangamma

Meaning: Oh Ganges! If you stepped on the Himagiri (Giri = mountain, Himam = Snow. Himagiri = Mountain covered with snow)

    Contd...
