The Holy Ganges buds in a pristine place, and with grace, she plows through the countryside sprouting green shoots of life, accepting the foul debris of human trash. But, even with this calumny upon her generous face, she makes it to the consummation of the Ocean.
Wouldn't this be a better description 'of a woman' - rather than serving 'her husband's circumstances'
Serve? No!
Mother Ganga cheerfully lets those who wish to imbibe of her infinite beauties - do so
A woman also takes birth in a different home and after her marriage she changes herself to adopt to the living circumstances of her husband and serves them ... just like the mother ganges ... fantastic work by sirivennela garu

This is a brilliant work by sirivennela ... actually the lyricist wants to describe the life of a woman by describing a river. Just like a river takes birth from the feet of lord vishnu and after reaching the earth takes various forms to clean up the sins of the people.
Pretext: Ganga is the Holy River Ganges. The singer treats the holy river Ganges so close to her heart that she calles Her Gangamma (Ganga + Amma - mother Ganges)
It is believed that Lord Shiva resides on Himagiri. The river Ganges is contained in Lord Shiva's Jhatajhutam [hairs] on Bhagiradha's request, before coming down to earth, to control its flow
Great Work Buddy.....I liked this song ever since my childhood but never got into the indepth meaning of the same....Thanks a ton.....you made my day....:)
Meaning: If you washed Earth & Embrace, where is your shape and color? The beauty is water takes shape of the container, so the singer is teasing Ganges by saying that her shape & color are lost when she stepped on earth
Also can be seen as a comparison to a woman's life. Once she takes birth on earth, her identity is tied around the relations she has. Once she embraces her loved one, she loses self
Good job milestowalk but pl note the subtle correction. Its "kaDali kougilini karigavante" and not kadigavante. kaDali means SEA/OCEAN-meaning if you embrace sea/ocean,whats your shape/whats your colour?......etc
To pictures and nice selection of the song .. i guess you are a native telugu speaker .. good to use telugu literature for presenting india heritage .. although it wont reach many audience as many cant understand it. if you place translate in english for the slides then it make beter sense. good work ..

@cave000canem I differ with your interpretation of the word "SERVE". Serving is a god's art, he serves us all! That's how I see it!
