Costa Rica's Health Care is way above yours... Every Cosra Rican Citizen has free health care with no limitations, and all workers and companies pay for it. I like Bill but in this one I have to say he diddnt do his homework before talking

If regulation varied such that health clinics were rated AAA, BBB down to the high risk, low quality, least expensive CCC then there would be affordable clinics + healthy competition in the industry.

I agree, every time a hospital is forced to provide medical services to people who can't pay for it, the cost is transferred to the other patients. But the cost of health care increases because of the widespread use of insurance, and the tax burden increases because of the widespread use of government subsidies. If anyone in Congress really wanted to fix health care, they stop over-regulating and subsidizing it.

If we stop using CO2, it'll only alter the CO2 in the atmosphere by about 1-2% because you know every single living thing except plants breath out CO2. And if there is more CO2 then more plants can grow because they use CO2 to make food and then release oxygen. As you can see its a cycle.

To answer your question, according to a 2000 WHO study that ranked healthcare in every nation the U.S. ranked 37th behind Morocco and Costa RIca. These numbers are of course flawed as they do not measure the quality of care but things like access to care, life expectancy, doctors per population, etc. Measuring these factors and calling it a healthcare ranking is incredibly biased making the results of the study worthless. Despite this, leftists like Maher love to use it to promote single payer.

When I was in the military no, i was not happy with military health care it was garbage and I usually went to a civilian health care provider on my own expense to get quality health care. However, i can say that at least it was health care that was earned through service, not just given unlike this new bill. Oh by the way I owe military medical benefits to a federalist congress, not the democrats.

And NO health care reform, NO environmental protection, NO regulation, no taxes on those that can most afford it. The party of NO says no long term interests in favor of the short term bottom line.
What scares me is that you honestly think that this healthcare "reform" is part of a balanced budget. I can only argue with reason, not madness. I certainly don't like the way ultra conservative republicans handled things, but I am not using it as justification for the ultra liberal republicans to make things even worse. And the deaths of hundreds of thousands of middl easterners lie on the hands of fanatic hard liners in the middle east not mine nor any one elses.

Insurance and regulation are the root of the cost problem.
Insurance companies make it less attractive for entrepreneurs to start up low cost (and therefore no insurance necessary) walk-in healthcare clinics because insurance pays out big money while still making huge profits.
If regulation varied such that health clinics were rated AAA, BBB down to the high risk, low quality, least expensive CCC then there would be affordable clinics + healthy competition in the industry.

I agree, every time a hospital is forced to provide medical services to people who can't pay for it, the cost is transferred to the other patients. But the cost of health care increases because of the widespread use of insurance, and the tax burden increases because of the widespread use of government subsidies. If anyone in Congress really wanted to fix health care, they stop over-regulating and subsidizing it.

Here's a scam for you. Allowing over 700,000 people a year declare bankruptcy because they can't pay their medical bills? How about allowing 40,000 people a year to die because they don't have health insurance? How about having to pay twice as much per capita for health care as do other industrialized countries? And how about being ranked 17th or lower in quality of health care. We CAN do better.

I label myself a lib too but think that Obama is doing the best he can with all the problems and constraints, and as you know, there are many.
The system is a long way from perfect. There will always be too much influence from the rich and the elite. It's the foundation of our system and unless you want to wipe the slate clean I recommend working with what we have.
I'd prefer a single payer system. Hopefully we're moving in that direction but it will take time. For-profit is deeply rooted.

I wasn't using his opinion on global warming. In fact I don't even know his opinion. I'm using science and history to prove it. How do you propose we humans stop global warming from happening? If we stop using CO2, it'll only alter the CO2 in the atmosphere by about 1-2% because you know every single living thing except plants breath out CO2. And if there is more CO2 then more plants can grow because they use CO2 to make food and then release oxygen. As you can see its a cycle.

To answer your question, according to a 2000 WHO study that ranked healthcare in every nation the U.S. ranked 37th behind Morocco and Costa RIca. These numbers are of course flawed as they do not measure the quality of care but things like access to care, life expectancy, doctors per population, etc. Measuring these factors and calling it a healthcare ranking is incredibly biased making the results of the study worthless. Despite this, leftists like Maher love to use it to promote single payer.

When I was in the military no, i was not happy with military health care it was garbage and I usually went to a civilian health care provider on my own expense to get quality health care. However, i can say that at least it was health care that was earned through service, not just given unlike this new bill. Oh by the way I owe military medical benefits to a federalist congress, not the democrats.

Deregulation brought us most of the financial upheaval. The party of NO regulation is who we can thank for that. This debate, in truth, is not about health care, that is only a small portion of it. People believe that the government is growing too large. They're afraid of losing freedom. I believe this fear is irrational.
