Example : the politic book "Guan Zhong" has nothing to do with its presumed author : the events related occurred many years after his death. Besides, I would like to translate into french a Bodidharma's book (Guan Sin Fa) : 2/3 of its is surely not written by the Patriarch. The rest, we don't know !
@nghoaivan2 wrong... the name has a lot of sense, because Bodhidharma was a hindu prince from Tamil Nadu and practiced indian martial arts like silambam (millenary martial art with sticks of South India) If you don't believe me just search silambam here in you tube... it's a typical martial art of Bodhidharma's motherland... and has THOUSAND of years (surely before buddhism)... However, the martial art's commubity used to consider him as their firt patriarch. It's an enigma for me. I will look for silambam videos ...
1st and 2nd kicks are indeed not very "chineese". Just take the idea : medium or low plunging kick then staff attack (with its point or horizontally) on the face : not very Buddhist either :-)

You are very perspicacious. Since monks was supposed not to use swords, they hide sword techniques in these staff patterns.
