  • "Teavana" not Tea uh Vana..Get Cast Iron

  • Im from the Uk and we are massive tea drinkers here but Iv never heard of Teavanna. The tea we get here is a lot finer and smaller granuals. We mostly use teabags and some who have tea strainers still use the granuals.

I love to drink herbal teas, which also come in teabags. My favourites are Peppermint and also Nettle. Here most add milk or lemon depending on taste. We put the bags in a hot teapot, then add the water and steep for a few minutes. Once done add to the cup with milk etc.

  • This video inspire me to get some tea leaves. I just need to find a place where they sell tea leaves close to home. My mom got me a tea strainer (kinda like tongs but has a mesh circle thing on one end where you can open it up to put the leaves) few Chrismases ago and I think its time for me to dig it up and start using it again.

  • I just thought I'd share, Matés don't have any caffeine, but rather a similar stimulant and also try youth youth berry, if you haven't already. It's my favorite teavana, it a white tea with a berry flavor.

  • NICE BIG BREAST ;) I'D LOVE TO DO SOME SHIT WITH THEM :D

  • LOL cutlery lover xD

  • nice I love meyers soap, good shit!

  • you are so detailed and descriptive--i just was just looking for a review for the tevanna teamaker, and yours was the first one I seen, and I dont need to see another one! Im sold, and I want one now. I cant wait to brew some yummy tea! And i also had to subscribe of course! Blessings!

  • I just got my perfect tea maker from Teavana too! I love it!!! Jen, I think when you mix two or more teas and one has brewing time 5 min and the other 2 min, then you should steep it for the shorter time. I believe the wisdom behind it is that some teas become bitter when you steep them too long ( and can ruin or at least change the taste of your entire tea).

You must try the clay mug! Cheers!

  • I purchased the Perfect Tea Maker in Teavana, and I'm heading to Bed, Bath & Beyond soon to get the Breville Temperature Kettle. I can't wait to try it out.

  • Hot chocolate and Hot Apple Cider are my favorites :o) Thank you Jen for all the hard work you do in making these videos. It's helped me get back a little bit of the fun me again :o)

  • You may not actually notice the bitterness with chai tea, the spices tend to help to cover it up. But you have essentially burned the white tea leaves. Also, the measurements for all Teavana teas are for 8 oz. of water. You only put 1 teascoop of each of the teas in your teamaker. That teamaker is16oz. So, you should actually be putting about 2 teascoops of each tea in the teamaker. Just passing my tea knowledge on! This will make you the best tasting cup of tea every time. Happy steeping!

  • You are actually steeping this blend wrong. I work at Teavana, and I make this blend several times a day for the samples. When blending any two types of teas, you have to follow the instructions for the lowest temp. water and lowest steeping time. White tea is the least processed of all teas (which is why its the lowest in caffeine and highest in antioxidants). If you steep white tea for 5-6 mins with boiling water, even if your blending it with mate, the tea will be bitter.

  • "look at it compared to my head" Jen, you are so cute and funny!

I smile the entire time watching your videos!

  • I wanted to tell you you have made me fall in love with teavana! I went there today and tried so many samples and I loved them all! I ended up getting the Acai Mate since its supposed to have as much caffeine as coffee. It was so yummy, I can't wait to bring my perfect tea maker to work!

  • i dont know if anyone has commented before, but i just had to say, i have enjoyed finding you recently and ive actually caught up on all your vids on here and organized. but anyway, you are absolutely gorgeous without makeup like in this vid. you do your makeup very well also, and sometimes its very fun and nice, but i just wanted to let you know that! much love from arizona :)

  • CUTE pink gloves!

  • Hi jen! I also love Teavana a lot (that's how i found your channel in Youtube and subscribed). May I know if you throw the tea leaves after you steep it once in the perfect tea maker, or you re-steep it again after the first use before discarding it? Thanks.

  • @janicajp I've heard you can re-steep, but it loses all caffeine after the first steep. I always forget you can re-steeo. Thanks for reminding me!

  • I have a really bad habit of going through starbucks this time of year, I like all their holiday drinks like the pumpkin spice latte and gingerbread latte haha but we do have a teavana in our mall and I've always been interested in it so I think I might start getting into tea more after watching your videos on it :)

  • @slm32402 It's so funny - I go thru coffee phases during the summer because I like iced coffee and drink tea more in the colder months because I prefer it hot

  • Thank you so much for this tips, Jen! I just had to order it, even though it will be shipped all the way to Oslo, Norway. Can't wait :-)

  • @MissesEmma1912 Hope you enjoy your new tea!

  • Youtube really needs to add a "Love" button on videos. Wonderful!

  • @mlokrongly09 Awww :)

  • people on earth are suffering i don't think it matters how many different ways or types of tea one can have. i like your travel/organizing videos

  • @madetocomment2011 Wow, way to be a jerk. If you don't like these videos, why do you watch them? Jen has done nothing wrong and doesn't deserve negative comments.

  • @apRosebud you're acting like a jerk by calling me a jerk for saying something that is true. you're acting like Jen's servant who has to like everything that she does.. it's youtube and people will leave negative comments if they dont like a vid.. you need a brain to understand that.

  • @madetocomment2011 I am not trying to be a jerk. I just don't see the point in posting a comment like the one you did. If you like her travel/organizing videos then just watch those. I prefer them as well, so I understand where you're coming from. But I don't think it's necessary to leave a comment like that.

  • I am so glad you posted the Teavana videos! I love coffee but it always upsets my stomach, so I am a huge tea drinker. I never knew places like Teavana exsisted. I ended up jumping online and ordered a huge amount of things. I am totally set to go. I can't wait for it to arrive. My poor Keurig machine is going to get lonely!

  • @ForeeGlam Enjoy!

  • Hmmm. I'm really intreaged to try this out. Teavana and that teamaker make tea making look so much easier and fun! :) Thank a lot for these great tips Jen!!

  • I just called my Teavana store to see if they have this tea maker and I'm going to go buy it right now! What a cool idea. I've walked by there many times and I've never gone in. I've been considering trying to kick my coffee habit, or at least drink WAY less, and to start drinking tea. Also, where did you find your pink rubber gloves? They're so cute. I can only find yellow.

  • @kimberd03 Container Store or Bed, Bath, & Beyond

  • fyi: mate shouldn't be sipped in freshly boiled water: it needs below boiling point to keep its properties, which is why the label has 179F on it ;)

  • Do you use your tea leaves only once. I heard you can use them up to 5 times before it starts getting too weak. I placed an order last week and I'm getting it any day now. Great video - always fun to watch!

  • @ThePolishHoochie You can, but they lose all caffeine after the first steep.

  • I am going to the Tevana website right now. I want some.

  • I would love, love, love to know how you make iced green tea in the spring :)

  • Jen very informative video, I also want to know about mugs on holder where you get them, you have very nice taste :)

  • @pinkrose4161 Starbucks many years ago

  • Jen those pumpkin mugs hanging on the holder by the Kcups are so cute! Where did you get them? You find some of the most adorable accessories!

  • @divaesquire14 I bought them at Starbucks about 5 years ago

  • Jen, with loose leaf teas you can reuse the tea leaves for several times. You let the tea leaves air dry after steeping, seal them in an air tight container, and then re-steep the same leaves the next morning. You can get 3 or 4 steeps out of the leaves. The associate at teavana told me the number of steeps you can out of the leaves depends on the type of tea. Hope this helps:)

    -Livingston Frances

  • @LiviFrances You can, but they lose all caffeine after the first steep

  • Thank you so much for making this. I have been eyeing the perfect tea maker for a while, but didn't know anything about loose tea. I will definitely be ordering from teavana soon! One of my favorite holiday drinks when I need some caffeine is a 1/4 cup of coffee, 3/4 cup water then add a packet of hot chocolate. Chocolate coffee if you will :) it's easy to make at work. I just bring along hot chocolate packets and use communal coffee.

  • @TaraAE I do something similar sometimes

  • Turkish apple tea is my fav!

  • @63jacs Yum!

  • okay - silly question: can/do you use the breville tea kettle for coffee? The reason I ask is that it sounds like a great christmas present - but the person I would like to buy it for is on a bit of a coffee kick at the moment....

  • @sharingjam You can use it for french press coffee. You don't put coffee directly in the machine.

  • @myhousewifelife thanks for that - I don't know anything about the boiling temp needed for coffee - so finding out that you can use it for french press.... I think I know what I willing someone for their Christmas present this year!!

  • I found this fun to watch. I hate hot tea..I use to drink sweet ice tea by the gallons I swear but I weened myself off it 2 years ago this Feb. I actually don't miss it either. But thanks for the fun video. :)

  • It is nice but an advice: you destroy all the properties of honey if you put it in the hot water! drink the tea without putting any honey in it, instead drink and if you want take a spoon and eat the honey and then again drink :)

  • Teavana sucked me in when I was pregnant and spent almost $100. on tea in one visit!!

  • @kikiazure2 It is pricey, but so worth it in my opinion!

  • I wish I liked tea, But I am only a hot choc kind a girl! But love the videos!

  • We have a Teavana at our mall, I am going next week online they had so many flavors I need to have something warm to drink this winter in Iowa and I love hot chocolate but a lot of calories to drink a couple times a day. I loved these videos.

  • @oufaniniowa Hope you got something yummy if you went!

  • Mulled cider and Peppermint Hot Chocolate are my favourites :)

  • @TheBooklover18 Ooh I love those, too :)

  • My English Grandmother would turn over in her grave to see you use soap in your "tea pot" ... you never use soap ..just rinse it lol have you tried the blooming teas? My local tea shop sells them ..love them in the spring.

  • @uglybobswife i've heard this before, i tried to dedicate one mug for the tea and not soap it but rather rinse it, but it becomes 'dirty'. Quiet frankly, i don't feel the taste of soap, it doesn't ruin my tea time, so, back to hygienic routine (if i may say so...). do you have a method to prevent the pot from darkening?

  • @naymette my Grandmother would say it adds to the flavor...lol I use denture tablets to clean the coffee pot but i just rinse my tea pots ( my mugs i do run through the dishwasher but not my china tea cups those i hand wash) I'm a MIF (milk in first) so my tea cups don't get badly stained

  • @uglybobswife

    thanks for the reply

  • @uglybobswife Well, I followed the directions on the teacher for cleaning. Plus, since I use it for so many different kinds of tea I figured I should wash it that way. It's really just a strainer...

  • i loved it! i put some cloves in the water of my green tea before it boiles, then i use this hot water to make tea when i have a bad cold or "a cat in the throat ". as for black tea, i put some drips of citruss just before i drink it.

  • @naymette Great tip!

  • where didi you find your cup very cute!

  • @95482jamie Williams Sonoma several holidays ago...

  • Enjoyed the whole series! Could you tell me which Rishi Powders you usually enjoy?

  • I love your tea series! I am so addicted. I am trying to go through my tea before I buy any new ones. I have a lot of leftover tea!
