@pantsmanleo When you think about it though, this boss is probably more iconic in that its more difficult, with the Great Eggman Mech in Sonic & Knuckles, if your skillful enough, you can keep at least a couple of rings, with Sonic 2's Eggman Mech, you get no rings by default, thus adding to the difficulty

And I always used to think the best time to attack was when it landed from the homing-jump attack, when it bent forward. Epic remix of the old theme, though - especially the middle phrase.

@sonicangrybirds You seriously went OH SHI- when you saw the Death Egg Robot appear? That's the easiest final boss in a sonic game (Sonic 1 you need luck, which you have plenty of, but Sonic 2 needs NONE.). Seriously, it's easy to get a good 3 or 4 hit's on him while he's walking, and that's a quarter of it's HP.

@MrGiratinaORIGINAL yeah but in sonic 1 it's easier to avoid the egg crusher's attacks. The death egg robot has these spiky fingers so you have to aim your jump just right or he will prick you straight in the eye. No wonder i describe the game as speedy, eyepopping fun!

@SirWillig So what if it's easy to dodge? You can NEVER be able to predict which crusher has Eggman in, thus you're not always able to kill him. And those puny hands are some of the EASIEST things to dodge in a final boss. The crusher being the easiest, obviously.
