  • Cuber?

  • FAIL

  • Wasn't this fellow snipered?

  • jfk is a boss , if it werent for america england would be called new germany

  • @jdt2528 And what do you think would have happened if Britain had fallen into Germany occupation during WW2?

  • @McSuperfly101

Germany would have won the war. The red army was victorious against the germans but intime the redarmy losses would have been too great. Even in defeat Germany managed to inflict 3times the damage that redarmy inflicted upon the germans.

Stalin himself claimed that USSR could not win the war alone (prior to the big assault operation"some old generals name")

If nazis would have conquered britain, there would have been no platform for operation overlord.

  • Gotta do a summary on this. :p

  • @RichardElden JFK was better than your gay ass Winston Churchill. The only thing he did is try to suck the germans dick in wwII. Unlike JFK he saved the whole world from being a fuck up place!

  • @teamstarspug that's his accent. And you should care a bit more-- he was a great president... He had so much to deal with

  • Learning about the Cold War in global studies! Its REALLY interesting.

  • times were diffrent, the world called for leadership...Kennedy's words are just inspiring.

  • 2:15 He says "cuber"

  • I wonder if the man who shot him slept soundly every night on his bed? What a terrible burden that must be!

"I shot the most powerful man on the planet... I shot the most powerful man on the planet...I shot the most powerful man on the planet..."

  • @amazingdany you do know he was killed and then his killer was killed right?

  • STOP CURSING UR A SICK MAN OR WATEVER

  • @RichardElden why u have to be so mest up jhon f kennedy was 1 of the best presidents ever to exist

  • Kennedy <3!!!

  • fuck kennedy, he should have known the USSR would act as a result of the US'S pathetic attempt to invade Cuba. The USSR were just helping to defend one of their allies.

  • kennedy>obama>osama>ghadafi>KFC!!

  • my favorite part was "Cuber"

  • I love how JFK says " God willing that goal will be achieved" not how he pronounces it but that he SAID it

  • @RichardElden Yeah what ever you wanna say, Bitch ass brit.

  • @RichardElden your a Fucking idiot, you know nothing of Keeping the Peace, NOTHING.

he didn't even direct the fucking Bay of pigs, and no it was a tie, not a Lose.

get a life you little Disrespectful prick, no President or even a cunt Prime minister from the United KUNTs could ever compare to John, you fucking war mongering butter toothed goddamn British piece of shit.

and if Nixon or Eisenhower were President, you wouldn't even Exist you fuck,

your a fucking moron, i hope you die slow.

  • Listening to the way he describes the Soviet Union 50 years ago, sounds exactly like us today.

  • @RichardElden stfu asshole John Kennedy was one of the best

  • @RichardElden No, thats a three way tie. Clinton, Bush and Obama

  • JFK sets the standard for Presidents

  • A man can stand for this kind of pressure is a man who can stand for anything.

  • @kenen112

what u r perceiving as person is no person at all ,its the para brahma

  • @RichardElden Anytime I hear about missiles being removed from any U.S. site, I take it with a grain of salt. For instance, in Italy, whether the missiles silos where my father worked during the 1970s still have Minutemen in them or not, a look on any satellite mapping service shows only pastures where there is most certainly not only pastures at this very moment. While I'm not saying that the Russian military uses Google Maps, I am saying that there are a lot of "removed" nukes out there.

  • @RichardElden Kennedy basically saved the world. We were at DEFCON 2 and possibly minutes away from launching a full nuclear apocalypse. Cuba had made it clear that any U.S. ground forces spotted on the island would be nuked. Even had we taken the island, the U.S.S.R would have "defended" Cuba by means of nuclear assault on our presence there. Being nuked kind of ruins your day.

  • "Let's invade the Middle East because we think they have WMDs."

"Let's not invade Russia because they have WMDs."

Seems to me the U.S likes playing with fire they do not know about.

Russia should've wiped the U.S out when they had the chance, but they're still 10 years leading in technology.

  • Thirteen Days :)

  • siege-hail siege-hail

  • If JFK hadn't handled the Cuban Missile Crisis the way he did, we probably wouldn't be here right now....

  • 0:14 Cuba 0:57 Quebert

  • 0:16 "Cuba" 0:57 "Quebert"

  • ok... how many people come here because of X men - first class? I know I am...

  • Does anyone know where I could watch the full speech with Kennedy looking right at the camera? Not this newsreel version with different angles and other footage edited in.

  • he brought on the missile crisis by showing up for his summit with khruschev fucked up on drugs. Khruschev decided to test him immediately. got shot by a wife beating nut with delusions of grandeur.

  • a communist killed JFK

    islamist killed Bobby Kennedy

But according to Oliver Stone the Kennedys were killed by anti-Castro, the illuminaties, reptilians and right-wing UFO's

  • we need anothe JFK

  • It's funny how much of his accent he lost.

  • JFK always said he couldn't send American firepower during Bay of Pigs (despite historical lies to the contrary, thanks to Allen Dulles). CIA knew the Bay of Pigs would fail, and intended to manipulate JFK into lauching a full-scale attack on Cuba during both the Bay of Pigs and The Cuban Missle Crisis. JFK didn't take the bait either time.

JFK was approached twice by the Joint Chiefs/CIA to nuke USSR by late 1963 before their automated response system was perfected! That's how sick it got.

  • jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk is awesome

  • i think if he was alive today this world would be different in many ways hopefully one day we will have a president just like john F. Kennedy. R.I.P.

  • Please people do not take this as a stupid comment but did Kennedy have a speech impediment?

  • @mrspunkaay LMFAO

  • @mrspunkaay No he just had a very strong "Bostawn" accent.

  • Comment removed

  • @RichardElden But you see, if they did that... Cuba wouldve been able to see the U.S. coming and in that situation, they wouldve said "fuck this" and launched the missiles at the U.S. then the united states woulve shot there missiles at cuba, then Soviet union would shoot at U.S. then everyone is dead, so it what they did was the best possible thing to resolve the Cuban Missile Crisis

  • @loganoreilly2112 In fact, the way that crisis was resolve was the only way to resolve it without nuclear war!!!

  • the bay of pigs invasion was a disaster. fidel whipped usa's ass in no time

  • 14 people are communists.

  • The Bay of Pigs had already been set in motion by the time Kennedy was elected--he was pretty much left holding the bag and regretted it throughout the rest of his presidency. This is perhaps the closest we have ever come to two nations willingly engaging in nuclear combat (there have been a few accidental close calls), and the fact that, with each side having everything to lose, they sought the line of compromise rather than annihilation.

  • kennedy is the best presidant in the world

  • Bay of Pigs was a disaster for his foreign policy aspirations and had terrible ramifications...

  • @duduvissotto Everyone was in panic, and time was running on a short fuse. All the actions the U.S. took were sufficient enough to escape a war with the Soviet Union at that time and you can leave it at that.

  • @jacobforlifeson sure. However, this failed attempt to invade Cuba to deter the USSR threat might have been what actually triggered his demise. Don't get me wrong, I always liked JFK and was extremely saddened when I heard of his death, but I still believe the Bay of Pigs incident could have been conducted diferrently and more efficiently or even avoided.

  • Today My Girlfriend Told Me. She Will Leave Me For John F Kennedy.... This Guy Was Smart And Everyone Loved Him.... And He Was Also A Player

  • Great speech, peace not at the expense of freedom, that is dream worth having

  • I didn't come here because of "X-men" or "Call of Duty". I came here because of "The Kennedys".

    lolololololol

  • i will name my kid after John this guy is better than obama and Mr. cunt bag aka bush

  • @mrdark969 this man was a Genius,

but all these Irrelevant Cod Nerds. are so Annoying.

i came here because hes my favorite President,

    they came here cause COD.

i will probably name my first kid John as well

  • kennedy>obabama>a chicken>bush

  • fucking black ops! hahaha greaat president ever! honoring with much respect

  • Ok guys. im all for COD and X-Men but this was a significant part of our history here. (assuming you are an american) i hope you take something away from this speech. This was a man who against all odds against all that was on the table decided that war was NOT the right move. He avoided what could have vary well been the end of the world. because he kept his cool. Never rush into anything no matter how bad it may seem half cocked.

  • @jackel2072 - Im british but agree with you dude. He simply is idolised by me. Ive all his literature (why england slept, profiles in courage etc...) as well as his brother Robert, both of which were two of the biggest democratic leaders of all time.

  • The tactical move delivered in Kennedy's speech was perhaps, the pivotal point in the second millennium after Christ. All of mans, efforts, works and dreams came to the brink of annihilation. Thankfully it was God willing that peace remain.

  • Well..X men brought me here..thumbs up ??

  • If Kennedy was president today America would be the most respected Country in the world,Just as it was when he was in the white house.

  • @pzdontsaystupidreply He couldn't keep his trousers on, he was worse than clinton. Although he did bang Marilyn Monroe... respect.

  • Sorry to disgress, but he was one good-looking man! :)

  • someone explain communism to me!

  • I feel sorry for you young people...JFK was my President...there will never be one like him again....and great leader.....a visionary......If we had him today it would be a much different country.....And I'm a lifelong Republican.....I will never forget the day be died

  • KENNEDY BEASTT

  • apparently 12 people are soviets

  • Best... Accent... EVER.

  • @CurruptedInsecurity as an attAACK!

  • He is the only President who made the saying "The sky's the limit" out dated. Man kind left foot prints on the moon because of JFK's unwavering belief in America's success! This man was so popular and good for this country the jealous evil of this world shot him dead. Evil once again silenced a man who stood for Good. RIP JFK.

  • the best US president. they dont make em like they used to

  • cool calm n collective but ready for war

  • JFK was the best,he made america stand STRONG and a GOOD FRIEND to americas allies, you dont see this as much anymore..I'm canadian and i'm sure you can find on here when john visited canada around 50 000 canadians stood outside to see this man..He's still respected up here today! RIP JFK..

  • Its funny how he added er in "Cuber" but took them away in "tiga" and "powa". But seriously though, he handled that crisis very well.

  • 2:08 to 2:20 <3

  • This is what a President is!!!!

  • @phatcrayonz The guy hid this until after the fact. He was a good president, but just as shady as any other that had the position during the Cold War.

  • 11 Cambridge moonbats got their Priuses nuked

  • JFK BEST PRESIDENT EVER HE STOPED WW3 GO JFK and hes Irish and Im irish so i even like him more haha (:

  • the soviets disliked this.

  • We want to be understood...

    watch?v=iXqhOukjQn8

  • This is back in the days when the Presidency wasn't a side show. It wasn't the target of people like Sarah Palin. It's candidates didn't have reality TV shows. In those days every single person, regardless of party affiliation, wanted the President to be successful because it meant that the country would be successful. People didn't get famous by calling the President a communist or a Nazi or some secret religious spy. They were instead deposed.

    What happened to this country?

  • @SSky06

i gave you a thumbs up but I'm afraid you're not right. At the very inception of this nation there was vitriol, from the original Boston Tea Party to hungry troops clamoring George Washington to march on the Continental Congress, who was not fulfilling payments.

In 1933 Smedly Butler testified to being asked by several business men to be the military leader in a fascist plot to overthrow FDR. Modern mud-slinging is not a new invention, but thankfully usually in crisis people rally

  • @SSky06 Jersey Shore happened.

  • 11 cubans wathched this video

  • i think kennedy knew we would've beaten the russians in a war. he was in a position of power the whole way through, and he played it beautifully.

  • @shoofirbin

No one would have won in such a war. The world would have been totally annihilated by both sides.

However, Kennedy actually convinced the Russians that he was crazy enough to start the end of the world over a blockade. That takes incredibly gigantic balls.

  • @SSky06 actually, both the u.s. and u.s.s.r. managed their weapons programs under the notion that a nuclear war could in fact be won, and there's consensus now that the u.s. was technologically ahead of the soviets throughout the cold war. that's why i suggest that kennedy was dealing from a position of power.

also, there's no evidence that any of the soviet brass considered kennedy "crazy". khrushchev considered him a tough negotiator, and possibly militaristic, but not crazy.

  • @shoofirbin

In any event, neither side could have successfully destroyed enough of the other sides nuclear weapons to "win" a nuclear conflict. Even a complete saturation of the others nation wouldn't have been enough because a lot of our ICBM launch sites are in gigantic underground bunkers. Besides, even if you had a complete first strike and somehow annihilated the opposition country completely, radiation would cover the planet in a number of months making your victory fruitless.

  • @SSky06 a direct hit from a nuclear warhead would destroy or render inoperable any missile installation. it's for this reason that many of our missiles were aimed directly at soviet missile sites and vice versa. but as i said before, regardless of opinion, the prevailing thinking at the time was that a nuclear war could be won. as for radiation, there are too many variables to say what would happen and there's no scientific consensus on that, even today. let's just hope we never find out.

  • @shoofirbin

And I didn't mean literally "crazy." I meant that he convinced the Soviets (perhaps because it was true) that he was actually ballsy enough to start a nuclear conflict, especially over something like positioning of irrelevant IRBMs in Cuba. Not only was it fair, given that we had a ton of them in Turkey, at the same time, pointed at the USSR from only a hundred or so miles away, but it was pointless because the USSRs ICBMs were the main threat, not short range nukes.

  • @SSky06 the missiles in cuba (if operational) were certainly not irrelevant. their proximity reduced response time to an attack from around 35 minutes to under 10. whether it was "fair" or not, it was major change in the status quo that couldn't go unchecked and kennedy actually showed immense restraint by defying his military advisers and opting for a blockade instead of an air strike. not to say he wasn't a ballsy person, but in this case i'd say he was just smart.

  • @shoofirbin

It just wouldn't have ever mattered if he allowed said weapons to exist in Cuba because in the event of a war the ICBMs from both sides would have destroyed the world several times over anyway.

Besides, the USSR got exactly what they wanted in exchange. The US dismantled their IRBMs in Turkey as part of the deal to stop supplying the Cubans with Nukes. Kennedy actually created a situation where both sides came out looking good, but he almost destroyed the world in the process.

  • @SSky06 i think maybe you're conflating "doomsday" with mutually-assured destruction. there's no way of knowing if even a full-scale nuclear war would destroy the earth, but the best guess (based on what i've read) is that it probably wouldn't. it could well destroy the infrastructure of its combatants and allies (m.a.d.), but as i stated before, in a situation where both sides were playing to win, a reduced response time was a major strategic advantage.

  • @shoofirbin

What exactly have you read? From what I've read, we had and have had enough nuclear weapons to destroy the Earth 10x over. The Soviets at their peak had enough to destroy the world 3-4x over. I'm fairly certain 14x is enough to destroy the planet.

A full scale nuclear war would have not only destroyed most of the infrastructure, it would have irritated the world enough to kill every living thing and thrown enough debris into the air to block out the sun for like 50+ years...

  • i've read a few books. "on thermonuclear war" by herman kahn is one. he was the originator of the famous "doomsday" strategy. another good one is robert mcnamara's memoir "in retrospect". it has a brief but fascinating section on the cuban missile crisis and quite a bit about the arms race.. i've also read 'the cold and the dark' by carl sagan, et al.

curious: when you talk about destroying the earth, you're mostly talking about radiation, right?

  • @shoofirbin

From what I understand, each time over which we had enough weapons to destroy the earth, it would result in high levels of radiation reaching every inch of the worlds landmass.

  • @SSky06 to be clear: there's no question that a nuclear war then or now would be a horrific disaster. that said, the stuff about radiation and nuclear winter killing all living things is theory and speculation. not to discredit it, just pointing out that none of it could be considered fact. we do know from atmospheric testing that radiation spread from a detonation is unpredictable and dependent on a great many variables. same goes for smoke and debris from large fires and volcanic eruptions.

  • @recon500 YOUR FUCKING RETARDED!

  • @supermanbran123 I USE CAPSLOCK

  • @recon500 Here is what I meant. Why is does youtube identify John F. Kennedy as a music artist.

  • "As an attack, by the Soviet Union on the United States"

    2:15

    That gives me goose bumps

  • this is the bit you're looking for

    2:09

  • @TheBomb2012 No doubt about that.

  • @TheBomb2012 everyone is better.

  • @TheBomb2012 you got that right

  • @TheBomb2012 That's the stupidest comment ever. Of course JFK is better than Obama.

  • @FreshprinceObelair JFK would love Obama. Both want(ed) universal health care :)

  • Coming soon to a Venezuelan launch site near you (well, near enough, anyway...) : Iranian Shahab missiles.

Stand by for Missile Crisis 2.0, this time with Obama in the White House.

    Sleep well, everyone.

  • Where are we when we need you, Jack?

  • I must say that I did not come here for the X-men trailer, but because I just love JFK!!!

  • @MrDavidFILM Yes me too, favorite President ever.

    People's interests in mind.

    Catholic

    Irish descendent from boston

cant really get too much better

  • @MrDavidFILM he is my favort pre.

  • Sad how people these days have forgotten what Communism is about. We are now doing Business with China. They playing it a low profile slowly building up the military power. Yet free nations from around the world keep pouring money into the communist nation to fund their weapons program. Them stolen stealth aircraft technology from America, says they come in peace. People from around the world needs to rewatch this vid, so they know the war is not over.

  • What in the name of anything is X-men First Class?

  • its so funny that he pronounces it "cuber" instead of cuba lol. look at 2:13

  • thank god that nixon lost the election, he would have said, Screw Russia, imma go to the watergate

  • Anyone....What date was this speech broadcast for the 1st time...At least what year and mounth

  • @MrDavidFILM October 23rd, 1962

  • I'm currently writing a traditional critcism of this speech and have found few sources that don't dive into rhetorical theory. Does anyone out there have any books/sources that would be of interest to me?

  • Full auto zombie slaying death from the palm of my hands !

  • Who came to hear a history changing speech, not because of X-Men

  • 2:06 X- men part...BOOYYAHHH

  • Who the hell could dis-like something like this? It's a compelling speech delivered by the last true great U.S president.

  • "any attack on the western hemisphere...will be regarded as an attack from the soviet union on the united states."

why do i find this sentence so fucking compelling??

  • The video compilation "UFO Disclosure, Revelations & the 2012 Connection" ON

YOUTUBE is a disclosure of major lies and with held

information regarding life outside of Earth. The footage contains statements

from astronauts, American presidents, , military personnel, politicians plus

credible news footage. The compilation contains revelations regarding

awareness of life beyond Earth along with it's current and ongoing presence

which is being hidden from the public + more.

  • @Futurecop2012D for good reason, if the public was fully informed, someone would hate the thoughts of aliens, let the government handle this until neccessary for the public to be allowed to be informed

  • @rachjk1 Yeah, good idea :)

  • @DCCHvids fucktard

  • This speech gives me goosebumps every single time I watch it.

  • it sounds much cooler with the music in the x-men trailer

  • To bad we do not have a president that takes action with the people in mind and not to there own agendas. We have gotten weak as a nation politically and monetarily how is are nation going to survive if another crisis like this happens ? I personally do not trust the law makers or the their puppets to protect us any longer. People when are we going to wake up and bring about our own change and not wait on a government that does not care for us!?

  • "there is one path we will never take, and that is the path of surrender"

  • JFK will be remembered long after X-Men, Call of Duty, or any of the other moronic crap you people keep posting about. This was one of the most significant speeches ever delivered. That is what I thought people would be posting about on here.

  • @destenmorgan6 I think you're looking at this entirely the wrong way (and X-Men is an iconic comic book that will be around for centuries) the fact that people are attracted to watch this video through things like trailers such as X-Men or movies like Call of Duty is a testament to JFK's memory, as he is so iconic that he is even an integral part of society and popular culture even today. JFK will be remembered THRU things like movies, video games and other 'moronic crap' as well as thru history

  • @ACira93 Great comment! I would first like to say that I used the word moronic, not to say those things are bad or stupid, but in comparison to the overall message JFK and his speeches stood for. I played COD. I was never a big fan of X-Men, but I do respect it and its fan base as an icon in its own right. But I don't see how on almost all JFK videos the highest rated comments have nothing to do with his message. I just hope people do get hope people get what he was actually saying in the video.

  • @destenmorgan6 well said

  • @destenmorgan6 you call these young people stupid because of their ignorance. What you should be calling stupid is the system that these young people have to grow up in which blind them of great men like JFK. If video games and movies spark an interest to find out more about history, then you should be happy. I took my eight year old to see Xmen First Class and that gave me an opportunity to introduce JFK to him.

  • @xccell Interesting comment. I like what you said about the system, as they seem more interested in teaching about Taco Bell and Steve Jobs than they do about men like Thomas Jefferson, JFK, and others. Even people like George Washington aren't fully taught anymore! Although, I did not mean to imply or accuse anyone of being stupid. If anything, I meant it as ignorance. Glad to see younger people introduced to Kennedy through new films, games, ect. though.

  • We were so close to nuclear war... seriously that is some scary stuff

  • @schmootle lying on the internet: our national past time.

  • 2:06 - quote from X-Men First Class - UrbHykKUfTM

  • hey even in hungary(central european country) we know who was Kennedy dudes... he saved the world from a nuclear war

  • @wulfric10 GABOR SZABO was a hungarian freedom fighter and a jazz guitarist you can watch is videos in youtube

  • thumbs up if your here because of school -_-

  • Disgusting how people didn't know Kennedy was even real before they saw it on a video game.

  • @Shmootle

they're obviously not serious, fucking moron

  • @Andrewsafb71

I KNOW people who seriously didn't know this. But that's ok, since you obviously personally know everyone here that says "Oh! this guys real?!"

  • @Shmootle

are the people in your company preschoolers? People know who fucking JFK is, it's people like you who perpetuate the "moronic americans" kind of buzz because you really think there are people who don't know who john f fucking kennedy is. They learn plenty about it from grade 6-10. Which leads me to believe you must be 4 years old

  • @Andrewsafb71

I'm 16, and I didn't know who JFK was from school. They might have mentioned him a couple times but besides that there was nothing. In case you didn't know, the US education system is utter shit. And for the record, modern Americans are moronic

  • @Shmootle

That's because you're fucking stupid and didn't pay attention in class, there's nothing wrong with the education system just retards like you who don't learn anything. I guarantee there was an entire lesson over kennedy's background and the cuban missile crisis. Americans aren't moronic, it just seems that way to you because you don't have any potential.
