  • This is quick easy and tasty!

Thank you so much for this and all your excellent videos ltkman!

  • before u said oister souce what was the other rhing ?

  • Damn, I have a new respect for Asian meals....love your videos....Love Chinese food...but there is a lot of steps to prepping these dishes...,more so then many American "gourmet" dishes.

  • made this last week it was amazing! just like take out at my favorite restaurant.

  • @Itkman are they regular spaghetti pasta noodles ?

  • Really good

  • super easy love it...

  • 0:40 dod he say oyster sauce?

  • @thekillerese oyster sauce, or hoisin.

  • Easy and delicious. Nice.

  • Thanks alot KAI!! Always love your recipes!

  • does anyone know if they use alcohol like win to make chicken lo mein in most chinese food restaurants?

  • @NuMb3r1PuNjAbI94 Im not really sure about alcoholic wines they use..The only cooking wine that they use is maybe some white, or sherry

  • @NuMb3r1PuNjAbI94 they usually add in alittle rice wine to make it smell/taste better

  • hey Kai, I use this very recipe and my family loves every bit of the lo mein, we no longer order out. What ever the family wants I find it here with you and make it at home.

  • CAN SOME ONE TELL ME WHAT CHICKEN STARC IS? PLAESE

  • @iNoor440 chicken *stock. You can find it at almost every grocery store. It is used alot in making soups! :)

  • is it healthy

  • Kai can you use spaghetti noddles ? or it has to be Asian noddles ? they are not made the same ?

  • @kevin26tx I'm not a cook but spaghetti noodles definitely aren't the same.

  • @Beautifulpoet12 I know, but That's the only kind of noodles I had LOL it was good,...!

  • @Beautifulpoet12 he used egg noodles

  • @kevin26tx In a pinch you can use spaghetti but they aren't the same. Most good (Italian pasta) spaghetti is made with semolina flour which is a very coarse milled wheat; the Asian noodle is made with finer milled wheat and egg so you will get a different taste/texture. It would still make a delicious dish, however. Happy cooking :)

  • Oh man mister Kai you need to be famous because the food u make looks and is good and u just need to be world wide.

  • Im gonna try this but with pork :)

  • @RichConrad1 It is a peking pan, which is a type of wok.

  • that looks awesome. i have a question: what kind of noodles are those and can they be substituted with any other type of noodles

  • @Zaafirathebeautiful I don't know what kind of noodles he used exactly, but I used regular spaghetti and it came out great.

  • looks really tasty!!!

  • It's better without the hoisin sauce, and add brown sugar.

  • This is an awesome recipe! I have made this twice now - very easy and tastes great!

  • I just made this at home right now!

  • kick ass

  • how do chinese people stay skinny?

  • @Mightylite94 It may be because most Asian(Southwest or East) cuisine, like African or Latin American food, calls for fresh, usually unprocessed ingredients(i.e not from a can).

  • @secundadonna oh but it still has fat

  • @Mightylite94 true :)

  • @secundadonna lol, i work at a chinese restaurant, im 16 but i always look at them and wonder how they are skinny. They eat like horses and weigh 100 pounds. lol

  • @Mightylite94 hyper-metabolic rates maybe, lol??

  • @secundadonna lol

  • @Mightylite94 ive asked that many times lol.

  • omg yummm thank you

  • Juntao!!

  • yuuuuuummy

  • well I tried out you lo mein recipe and for some reason it has a burnt taste , I'm thinking it just might be the sesame oil.

  • @dgod724 maybe you are using "toasted sesame oil", that one is way too strong. sometimes it is toasted even though the label does not say. i got it right at the third try, I bought a brand that was not toasted. buy the one with the lightest color.

  • lo mein..i love it can't get enough!

  • @p4rt1 marinate your chicken in a little bit of cornstarch, seasoning, and egg whites (velveting). That should soften it up and keep it moist in high heat :)

  • put noodles ok?

  • no, bettyboop17d, that's a non-stick pan

  • Thank you Kai!!! Great recipe.

  • Made it tonight 10/10 great recipe Kai!

  • looks good.

  • Damn Chinese are even fast when cooking...I mean without the explination he would have done that in 1 minute.

  • @ABReviews they're also fast at getting into car accidents :P

  • Guys my chicken gets alwasy very dry when I fry it like that. Any suggestions?

  • @p4rt1 i feel like it's the cut i use... i think chicken breast is pretty dry when cooked like this...

  • I really do not care for lo mein using the round noodles, it is so much better when you use the square noodles, the noodles pick up so much more flavor.

  • Nice quick recipe and koodos for the Satriani at the end :-)

  • What's that powder on 0:54 ?

  • @WouldUMind4321 Corn starch to thicken

  • Does he have his own restaurant?

  • Made this, its was awesome thanks Kai!!!!!

  • can something else be used instead of the wine???? something close to it so it doenst destroy the flavor. thanks if you can respond

  • POISON SAUCE OMG!!!!! LOL

  • @cruzinator62989 Hoisin sauce ;)

  • hey how did you make the thing that say asian cuisine

  • @pakleglia That's a wok. Not all woks have very high sides. Google wok and you'll see the different styles.

  • Yum looks good!!

  • Absolutely delicious. I added more sauce and veggies to this meal. Loved it!

  • Absolutely delicious. I added more sauce and veggies to this meal. Loved it!

  • I made my first Lomein today from your instruction and it tastes great! Thanks.

  • did he say hoisin or oyster sauce?

  • @LegallyDownloaded Hoisin sauce.

  • 'Lo' means mix or stir, not sauce.

  • oh my god i love lo mein its my favorite. im going to try this thanks for the help

  • whats that green vegetable?

  • This will be the first asian meal I try cooking. Thanks for the great recipie!

  • @pp00qq I agree with your general sentiments but for accuracy a wok is a pan and that particular pan clearly is non stick coated so it is not only a wok but also (less accurately) a non stick pan.

  • @pp00qq

Thats not a wok dude, It a really funny looking non stick frying pan. And judging by the look of his frying pan some non stick already ended up in his food.

There is only one way to wok and that is with a properly seasoned carbon-steel wok that is seriously allergic to dishwashers and soap. I am not sure where this dude learned to cook but it ceratinly wasnt in asia.

  • @Thecookingfreak Quit hatin' on the man! Don't you have anything better to do? As far as your comment goes about "one way to wok," yeah, I used to think the same thing. However, not everyone can afford the BTU's to "wok your way."

I must say, though, that you are super cool for adding an account just to make comments toward people that use non-stick pans. Do us all a favor that enjoy Itkman's recipes and troll elsewhere, preferably in your own country. Thanks buddy!

  • @Thecookingfreak Of course it is a wok. It may not be a carbon steel one, nor is it made of chocolate, but it is a wok. I have seen this guy also use a seasoned carbon steel wok, watch his other videos. PTFE is insert, eat it along with all the other dirt we accidentally eat that is far more dangerous.

  • @Thecookingfreak it's doesn't look big enough to be a wok it looks like a curved non stick pan but woks are usually bigger as in wall size

  • great recipe, i m trying it now! thanks

  • Thank you so much man! Turned out great on the first try!

  • You so rock! sa de lu

  • @itskaaythao chicken stock, broth made from boiling bones of chicken

  • awesome!

  • thank you soooo much for posting ur ez recepies. We save a lot of money thanks to you. God bless

  • Hey, what kind of noodles are those? I've seen "chow mein" noodles in the store, but they are thin and I prefer the thick variety. Also, I've heard people say to just use spaghetti or linguine noodles, which I think would be wrong. Finally, I've read that soba noodles are best. What kind do you use and which would suffice? Thanks!

  • what can i use if i do not have beef or chicken broth? i heard i can use water, but would it kill the taste? please reply.

  • i like Lomein mad good better than spaghetti

  • Just wondering...Does this have the strong soy sauce taste? I've been to many Chinese Restaurants and each place has something different that changes its tastes from the others. I personally dont like the strong soy sauce taste.

  • OMG That looks so good!!.....drooool....

  • Really is that it? O_O It looks so simple!

  • its yummie

  • good job itkman

  • wow. super easy. gonna try it this weekend.

  • @pp00qq either way. my mother would kill me. lol.

  • I used a wok check out my yummy variation of chicken lo mein

  • omg!!!! my mother would kill me if i used a flat iron spatula on that kind of pan. lol. he scraped the whole thing. wood ppl use wod!!! ;D cant wait to try this, hope it comes out as good as the chinese around my house.

  • Same here o_o! I'm guessing it's an old wok and there's no more coating 83?

  • @bettyboop17d lol yes my mom is the same way she would go crazy!

  • lol you can see the scratches on the bottom of the pan! This guy is CRAZY! But food looks great.

  • @rofldinho is this comment really necessary? all i have to say.

  • Made this for dinner tonight, tasted very good!

Added bean sprouts in with the other vegetables, love the crunch they add!

  • I always thought lo mein mean the kind of noodle that's used (in chinese atleast) that's stretched and boiled. Never thought about the other meaning of lo which is sauce.

  • i think the one being stretched and boiled is lai mein. lai means "pulled" in cantonese/mandarin. lo is mixed or stirred and etc. so technically its mixed noodles. the sauce used can be any kind of sauce because the term lo mein is broad and very general. its kinda like stir-fry....anything goes

  • what type of noodles did he use

  • he used egg noodles. those can be found in most asian grocery stores. if you don't have one anywhere near you just use spaghetti...its a little different but there really wouldn't be much of a difference in taste

  • well done dude!!!!

  • use 2 pounds of chicken for 4 people, cup of mushrooms, etc etc. the more you practice, the less you will need to measure stuff.

  • Comment removed

  • The amounts are given, you just have to click the link on the description. The only thing Kai doesn't mention is the amount of vegetables. But anyways, that isn't really important to know, just add as much as you want.

I just prepared and ate this dish a moment ago. Delicious, 5 stars, Kai!

  • That looks fantastic.

  • ALWAYS making be drool ! This is indeed another simple and great recipe. I've tried almost all your recipes and all of them turned out to be great. Thank you!

PS . What about some easy, tasty dim sum sometimes? If you haven't already cooked that, i would definitively love to see it ...

  • Thanks Kai!

I will be making this dish on the weekend. I've tried so many of your noodle recipes and they all turn out so flavorful. Keep up the good work!

  • I made this tonight with pork. It is outstanding. I used plain spaghetti as well. Best Lo Mein I have ever had, seriously.

  • That's much easier than I thought, and I am sure it is much better than take-out!

  • your videos are awesome! thanks a lot

  • mm.. i am hungry!

  • I also wish to know what kind of noodles to use.

  • I believe he used egg noodles. You can find these at your local chinese supermarket. They are packaged pre-cooked. His recipe will work well with other noodles. Jjapanese "udon", for example, will be a nice alternative.

  • Thanks for the info.

  • yum! cant wait 2 try this!

  • Quick, easy and yumm

  • 你好

  • Great video. :D I have to try to make this sometime.

In your last video you mentioned someting about people making fun of your English. Don't worry about your English pronunciation. It's not perfect but it's definitely decent enough to be understandable. The people who are making fun of you probably can't speak a word of Korean, so good for you for being multilingual! Have a wonderful day. :D

  • what kinda noodles do ya use?

  • Hi, looks great this receipt!

what is the name of the sauce that goes after the sugar?

  • Hoisin Sauce. He also suggests that you could use Oyster sauce instead.

  • What does Chowmein mean then?

  • chowmein is like some thiner noodles i think with alot of vegtables haha

  • Love it !

  • Looks fantastic.

  • lo = sauce

    lomein = noodle in sauce

    mein = ????

    wtf

  • mein=noodles

If you put them together it translates into "noodles in sauce"

  • I am going to make this for dinner one of these days! Thank you for showing me how to make this! It looks delicious and also healthy! :)

  • It looks so YUMMY

  • I like your presentation, short sharp and to the point.

    I'd give this a go.

  • lol

  • Lo means to stir/mix.

  • Ha Ha...I cracked up when you placed the little packet of soy sauce on top of the chop sticks for garnish. Keep up the great videos...and your sense of humor.

  • sooo good

  • looks good, about as easy as it gets

  • Lo in Lo mein means mix.

  • thanks so much for your videos!!!

i've tried a lot of your recipes.

  • Looks good =D

  • wonderful you make it look soo easy' & fun to try,i can't wait to practice this dish

  • My family love's Low Mein :D

  • Lo Mein...one of our favorites!

    Mmmmm, thank you kai !

  • Looks great. Thanks again for recipes.

  • wow that really was fast O.o...
