They are latinos, but in origin most of them are of pure Haitian/African descent that adopted the Spanish language. Puerto Rico on the other hand are also latinos but in terms of origin Puerto Ricans are perdomintly white. More than 85% of the native Islanders in PR are of pure Spaniard/European descent 10% taino 5% black/dominican or non-native.

It's almost a mixture of English and Spanish together, and they speak it slow not fast like Dominicans. When we hear a Dominican speaking Spanish in PR we view them like the British view the French...just plain annoying lol.

We DONT EXACTLY love your English-infected "pueltolican nene" BABBLE. We make fun of it in the DR ALL THE TIME. At least we have a country and a culture of our own, we aren't someone else's COLONY and are STILL SEEN AS SECOND-CLASS citizens, LOL.
We have a distinctive accent like other people in Latin America, period, and we're quite proud of it.

Dominicans are perdominatly black due to there Haitian neighbors and i don't mean it in a bad way it's just the truth. They are latinos, but in origin most of them are of pure Haitian/African descent that adopted the Spanish language. Puerto Rico on the other hand are also latinos but in terms of origin Puerto Ricans are perdomintly white. More than 85% of the native Islanders in PR are of pure Spaniard/European descent 10% taino 5% black/dominican or non-native.

Boy you REALLY NEED to grab a serious history book, and FAST. I even feel embarrassed for your OWN LACK of knowledge on the TRUE shades of Puerto Rican ethnicity, it is painful to read. Dominiican ethnicity originated WAY BEFORE the French started to build their slave-filled, separate Haiti colony. Dominicans are 75% mulatto and mixed, 17% white (THAT is almost 2 million) and pure black in the sense Haitians are classified, perhaps 10%, GO, CHECK IT OUT. GOOGLE IT.
