  • awesome- thanks!!!!!

  • omg thanks sooo much! this really helped. i didnt have the money to buy one of my own. plus im a college student. So Innovative

  • This is brilliant! Thank you!

  • Made one looks amazing :) I used a wine glass and a glass jar filled with white stones to keep my head steady then decorated the jar with red stones and lace which matched the red wine glass :) then did head as shown looks very fancy :)

  • Thanks! I'm on a very tight budget and this will help me keep my wig neatly. xD

  • This is awesome! Thankyou, I though I was gonna have to paper mache it.

  • When I made this I drew a face. Did anyone else ?c:

  • you are a life saver i need to style my wigs before this friday for a con. and i needed a quick way to make a wig stand. thank you so very much!

  • you can also make a wig stand out of foam ball and cone. which I did

  • @LadyLBlack wow that is such a good idea those are super cheap at walmart

  • @Str8UPdork I know eh lol I added wood to the bottom of mine so i could clamp it to a table. its in my wig review video

  • A really simple but brilliant tutorial! :D

  • How abt if the wig is long xD

  • @AnonymousAsianGirl Put it on a higher level. Think chairs or tables @_@;;

  • i usually just keep my wigs in their original bags. they're easy to transport that way too. :3

  • @funtoo2 I keep mine in their bags too. I only put them onto the wig stand when I style them or I intend to let them straighten themselves

  • A wig stand is good, but since I own wigs that have heavy curls, I prefer to keep them in their ziplock bags. Having them stand would eventually loosen up the curls.

  • at 2:16 it does look like a face O_O;;

  • I just finish making mine, Thank you so much!! (i used a small tub that use to have lipton powder tea in it tho XD) Now my wig can stand proudly! =D

  • What i did is i took a balloon, And a long circular box. I taped the balloon on the box and voila! :D

  • Would it be okay for this under hot water if i waterproof it all? ahha

  • What if it's a really REALLY long wig? :<

  • @JapaneseWolf17 you can braid it in a loose braid ^__^ or you can put it on the edge of a shelf or something and let the hair hang in the air :3

  • Nice tutorial, I'll use this when I get my wig.

  • Try wetting the paper a bit before putting them into the bag so you can get a much more dense ball.

  • Why, hello there, pretty lady. 2:27

  • Omg, very nice idea :Dim totaly gonna use it ;)

  • ya know spending 5~10 bucks on a wig head isnt that bad

  • @Kelly101Girl No it isn't, if you only have one wig. I on the other hand have several wigs since I had to shave my head for medical purposes. I have a wig for casual everyday/work, I have a few going out wigs and a fun wig. 5-10 bucks per wig stand + the cost of the wig itself and the wig comb and wig shampoo, it all starts to add up so yeah saving 5-10bucks per stand is a great idea, plus it is more resorceful to just reuse things u'd normally throw away.

  • @coldbluerain costume-play, dressing up as charactors from anime, manga, tv ect

  • Wow. extremely cute Asian at 0:37

  • so doing this. thank you. my current problem was my lack of wig stands. this wig shop by my house wants $5 a stand. and I need like 20. thanks so much. this really helps~

  • *sings with the song*

Brave Heart from Shaman King, right? ^^

And thank you so much! I need to style my wig, but I don't have a wig stand.

  • dang it!i love your videos thanks to you i'm going to cosplay as rin and many others*cough*itachi*cough*

  • thanks ^^ this helped alot!! now i dont gotta buy a wig stand xD

  • I just found this about 10 mins ago and decided to make one of my own. Only took a few minutes to do after I gathered the stuff from around the house. Thanks you! Up until now my wig was just on my hat up in the closet but this works Much better. Oh and I didn't have that cardboard tube piece so I just used a foam soda can holder and put some rocks inside of that for weight. (just a tip for those that may have one of those laying around.)

  • i tryed this but it didn't work that well...the wig wouldn't even go on

  • i luv this! this will help me so much lol :D

  • Whats this song called? Its really good!! OwO

and thanks for the tip! ^^

  • @ashesXofXaxel

Song is Brave Heart from the anime Shaman King, which I totally recomend you to watch! +DD

  • lol ghetto way to do a wig stand XD

  • Awesome..x3

  • Now that's what I am talking about!!!! My wig hands on the mirror side...and recently hung on my upstanding light and got burnt LMAO

    Thanks!!

  • I LOve This Song!!!! *O*

  • That's accually really awsome nice work

  • Thank you sooooo much I can make these much cheaper than I can buy those stupid wig stands. No one seems to sell them in bulk and I already have 5 wigs and want more so wtf am I supposed to do, buy that many wig stands??? You rock for making this. I'm almost thinking of getting a board and attaching these to the board with some strong glue or something and then it won't tip over or anything and I can put like 5 of them across one board and it'd look neat. thanks soo much!

  • This is a MARVELOUS idea. ^^ U was just thinking about how to get out of buying a wig head. ^^

  • u are good looking.

  • Styrofoam heads cost about 20 euros where I used to live, I hope they're cheaper here in Spain. But if not, I'm totally going to make some of these. XD

  • brilliant idea xD

  • Gahh what to do?! The stand was too light and my wigs just slide off or tip over XD Suggestions anyone? x.x

  • @bbtpink try stuffing or taping somethign heavy to the stand? maybe get 2 500ml mineral water bottles and tape them to ur stand?

  • @bbtpink If you go to party city they will sell you a wig head, then go buy some t-pins at Walmart or Joann's or Michaels and put the pins in the center of the wig, at the temples of the wig and at the back of the wig. If you want it to be a stand stand go to Lowe's and stick a rod or pipe in the head and make a stand out of the pipe.

  • @bbtpink sand bag? like a benie bag at the bottem of the stand, put it in then seal it shut >:)

  • Yay!!!

  • I love this idea, I needed it for my grell wig and will use it when I go about styling my wig!

  • This is an awesome tutorial, so simple and easy, can't wait to try it and make my own :D

  • I might do that! YAY!

  • OMG! This is so awesome! ^^ I was starting to fret a lot over the fact that my wig had no real wig stand. I'm kind of worried it would loose it's shape. D:

BUT THIS IS SUCH A HUGE HELP! XD Thanks!

  • Ah! GOOD idea human!

  • lol i got lucky and found a wig stand in the trash it was perfect when i was makeing a wig

  • That was a very created idea.Thanks

  • Thanx this saves me a lott of money.

And it's better then the flashlight where it is on now!

  • oh wow, why couldn't I think of this? thanks! you saved me from buying 3 head stands xD

  • Damn my wig has a heavy short high pony tail and keeps sliding off backwards XD

  • Thank you so much for this! I just bought 2 wigs on Ebay and needed an affordable stand.

  • nyaaa~

you are so helpfull, somehow i never would have thought of thiiss.

  • Thanks so much for this! I'll be needing this tutorial soon~

  • This is great! I'll definitely give it a go - at the moment my wigs live on a chalkboard globe I got as a gift XD

  • so clever^^

  • Thank u too!

  • I thougt it'd be strawberry ice cream xD

  • huh ?

  • i use a vase for my wig xDDDDDD

  • Hahaa I used a toilet roll and cup before xD

  • That`s a pretty good idea! =)

  • aww thanks!

  • I am making mine this afternoon. You clever girl!

  • THanks! Hope yours came out great!

  • shes cute

  • Wow, this is brilliant ! :D THANK YOU ♥♥

Up until now.. i just leave mine laying around my room ;A; my poor wig..

Must make this right NOW!! xD

  • @0inuyasha0naruto0 Thats me! I have mine in a box =( I didn't pay much for them but still, the cheapest ones are still $10 and all that adds up.

  • loved it great idea!!

  • i did sumthin rlly weird i had this circle thing and i hooked it on a mic stand and put my wig on it, but it kept slipping off. THANK YEW SO MUCH

  • Great tutorial, clever of you.

  • That was awesome! I'll go try it myself!

  • You've saved the lives of my wigs. Up until this, I've been using a teddy bear and a piggy bank...... xDD

  • lol i used a lamp and a giant bear!!

  • haha, i use a lamp and a racoon doll. creeppyyyyy

  • Hahaha I've once used a toilet roll and a cup xDDDD

  • Thanks this was a great help - doing it now!

  • Thanks!!!

  • Woot thanx a lot for this tip! It was really easy to make this wig stand and it's really usefull for my long wig! :D

  • THIS HELPED ME ALOT! but can u tell me how to make it more of like a styling wig head? i need to stly e the wig :I

  • I think you can use this same wig stand to style your wig. I used the same wig stand to style all my wigs.....

  • This is so cool, there are other ways to do it but this is the fastest and easiest without having to spend any money!

  • glad u like it =)

  • haha thankyou XD

  • is this really cost/space effective? I mean, wig stands start at about 2 dollars if you get the plastic ones that fold up when you're done. 2 dollars... and it folds flat when you're done.

  • LOL well, I only said it is easy and cheap. I didn't say anything about it being space effective.

  • what did you use for the neck?

  • A very biggg toilet roll xD

  • Hahaha I'm so happy to hear it helped =)

  • I agree. :3 I'm gonna be getting a wig soon so this'll work. ^^

  • Thank-you very much^^

  • If you have more time, you could use a balloon, blow it up so it's the size of your head, and then paper maché it ^^ It's a lot more sturdy, and If you're in a creative mood, you can also make a mouth, nose and ears. you can also paint it the way you like it ^^

  • Ohgosh this is like what I did.

Except I actually but my head IN the bag to see if it was the same size as my head. xD

  • HAhaha hey neat idea ! XD

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I just brought a wig and I was going to go with slinging it over a lightshade but your tutorial has really helped me! Thank you!!! 5 stars and a subscription!

  • Good job

  • whoah.. thanks so much

  • oh Thank you Thank you THANK YOU!!! This video really helped me a LOT. since I have this phobia of mannequins and wig stands. Thank you so much!!!

  • im scared a little of manacens to. my aunt bought we a wig when i was 5 for dressup. and the stand was a lady and made of styrofoam anfd so i colored it. so scary. she was orange with blue eyeshadow

  • Thank you for this video!!! Helped a lot!!

    What does DIY stand for...?

  • DIY= Do It yourself.

  • it stands for Do It Yourself

  • Thanks for the tutorial! I'm about to make mine. I was just wondering , do you think it would work just as good for styling a wig as a wig head? Sorry I'm new to styling wigs XD

  • Sorry for the late reply but yes, definitely.

I use this same wig head to style my wigs haha. But I guess it also depends on your wig styling needs?

  • Thanks for the tutorial!! It sure is helpful~!! xD

  • Ohhhhhhhhhh!! Thank you!!! I've been a lot of time looking for a manual wig stand!! *_* I love youuu!! xDDDDD

  • Looks pretty easy :) A head for styling a wig are so WAY EXPENSIVE D: There's no need to spend so much money only to a head.. This looks great ^^

    5/5

  • Styrofoam wig heads should only cost 3-4 dollars depending on where you go to buy them, really o3o;

  • kaikaka!!

love this vid, fantabulous idea for a wig stand!! :3

  • xD! Glad you found tis video useful XD *huggles riish*

I love the pink bag lol.

  • towards the end.. it started to look like a severed head in a bag lol in this case thats great! lol

  • great idea! genius!

thank you again for another great tutorial!

  • Thanks for ur comment=)

  • hahahaha this is just what I need right now!!I couldnt believe it when I came across this demo - excellent! cheap too!!!!!!!!

  • Haha! Thats great to hear^_^!

  • Thanx for the tutorial!!

I made 1 also except i put crumbled newspaper and used plastic grocery bags.

  • Thank you! Great idea and easy to make!

  • I think this definately help people who doesn't have a wigstand :D Good Job Kaika!!~

  • I THOUGHT that song sounded familiar. :D

  • Oh! This is a nice easy-to-make tutorial. Although it didn't help me much personally because I won't be able to pin the wig on it - will burst the bag XD I'd rather try using a handmade styrofoam stand.

I can still use it though for displaying/storing wigs! ^^,

  • Haha yea, you're right XD. The way it is, it'll probably burst if you pin it.

But one way to increase its durability is actually to have more layers of plastic bags (i only used 2 here) and compress the papers even further. Then tape a layer of Scotch tape (the usual clear ones, not the masking tapes I used here) over the entire head :D .

  • You know thinking about it again, we can also use old stockings and fill it up with worn out clothing and/or rags XD

  • Hey! thats a brilliant idea XDXD!!!!

I thought of something similar too! I had thought of sewing a fabric bag to stuff the rags in. but decided against the idea because the fabric bag probably won't get a shape (can't scotch tape it). But a stocking might work since they can expand!! Thats a totally brilliant idea you've got there XD!!!

  • I tried it the three nights ago. Well, it was pretty difficult stuffing the rags at first and I can't get the round shape right, and the stocking won't stretch as much as I want to. But with a little patience, I managed to do it! I think I worked on it for an hour... @_@ but it was worth it.

You might need a strong stick or something as a stand for the head though. I attached mine in an old tripod heee XD

  • Upload a pic of it xD!! I'm curious to see how it turned out ^^! .

Maybe if I ever do mine, I'll put a few layers of stockings o_o

  • The increase in density makes for a stronger stand.Adding more layers of plastic bags helps distribute the pressure & the scotch tape protects the last barrier + allows pining ;D.

And, thanks for your comment :D I appreciate it ;>

  • thanks :D i have a wig just like that

  • Hope you found this video useful ^_^!!
