You are right! The Echos aren't Chinese. They are Filipino and Cliff Foenander is form Dehiwala, Sri Lanka (Then Ceylon) Cliff used to sing here before moving on to HK

Cliff Lived for many years in Australia.
Cliff also lived some decades in America.
However, I believe Cliff born in Ceylon (Sri Lanka).

Cliff was a great guy. We shared many drinks in Hongkong during his gigs at the local clubs.
