It's an okay phone, although if you're going to buy it 'now', it's a little out of date. Better off getting a phone that uses Windows Mobile 6.5 instead of 6.1. Better still wait for Windows Phone 7 or get an Android device.

With Windows Phone 7 coming out, I don't think there'll be much more app development for the old version 6 of Microsoft's OS. Also speed and HARD DISK SPACE is a big problem.

@hazelfa It'll run any Windows Mobile 6.1 apps. Better off with a Windows Mobile 6.5 phone or waiting for Windows Phone 7 if you want to stick with a Windows Phone device.

Gee, I got this phone in an impulse and got so frustrated. The Microsoft OS used is NOT a version for cellphones. It is just windows on a cellphone, which makes everything small, more complicated than it should etc. Also, it looks nice, but is very little practical. The keyboard is horrid and homescreen sucks. Really!

@gusknust The OS "is" for phones, for 'smart phones'. Sounds like your not a smart phone person. You can download many different on-screen keyboards online. I'm using swype which I recommend to anyone using a Windows Phone.

@deany1980 sorry, pal. Sounds like you're not a smart phone person yourself. Otherwise, you'd know there are other OS's for smart phones, such as Android or the Apple OS for i-phones. Let me tell you they are far better than the Microsoft OS for smart phones. Even the one that comes on the Samsung Star 3G is better. I'm using a Samsung now (and I used to love Motorola, till I bought Motorola Surf - an unfortunate purchase) and don't recommend a Windows Phone or any other carrying a Windows OS :)

Motorola rocks, now with the DROID there's no cell phone that beats Motorola, I don't know how Sony Ericsson is going to compete, and now Apple's boring iPhone (or "iDon't") is now obsolete.

@kaiyno I don't use the iPhone, but you need to understand iPhone is a hard one to knock off the top just because of the number of apps developed for it. The DRIOD and now MILESTONE run Android and seem very reasonable. Many manufacturers will go with either Windows Phone or Google Android to try and compete against the iPhone. Sony-Ericsson have also started using Android with the Xperia X10 and X10 Mini. Good phones.

Windows Mobile 6.1 featured in this video is actually quite annoying.

Already in the China market, Singapore market and Hong Kong market since March 2009 ago. Since around April or June 2009 has Motorola A3100 Black Gold Edition (only in China market). Motorola A3100 in Singapore has price Sin$ 820 (No Contract) in M1 Provider since March 2009.

@kaiyno unfortunately not. I've been using this phone for over a year now, there are many ways it does NOT compare to the iPhone.

Speed was one way it really fell short. It runs the Opera web browser well but not without slowing down the performance and auto-closing the custom UI. Also it's limited to WinMo6.1 apps. Windows Phone 7 will be a whole different ball game.

Also I noticed that you guys in usa pay way to much for the phones with 2 year plans. Here in Europe the phones are like 80euro at launch. But after 3 months they are free with the 2 year plan.
