@MagnumPI4 Naw, yours is normal. Most hedgehogs love to swim, but most prefer it on their own terms. Comments on these type of videos are often 'omg! they're scared' but mine always seem more annoyed. If I think about it, I wouldn't like to be picked up and put into anything, let alone water, even though I love to swim too. :)

this guy is really experienced with looking after different animals, All his animals are very well looked after and healthy. He even teaches people how to look after their pets. For example watching one of his videos taught me how to tame my 'huffy' hedgehog. So my point is he knows what he is doing and would never endanger one of his animals. @earthling1984 Danger is not the issue. Hedgehogs have different personalities. Not all of the like swimming. And if you don't have the time to actually bathe 5 hedgies individually (with gentle cat shampoo and a toothbrush), then you should only own as many as you are willing to bathe - 1.

@Mehlwurm16 actually, hedgehogs love to swim! When you take on an animal like a hedgehog, you take it upon yourself to give them proper exercise. They may not have enjoyed being in such close proximity to one another, but the swimming is good for them, the babies will be just fine. Major props for being concerned about the animals' safety though! More people should be like you, and take a stand when they think animals are being mistreated. Better to be safe than sorry.
