  • i dont no what to get a beardy or a yemen -_-

  • @facebookminion dont then..?

  • I have a chameleon a bearded dragon and a water dragon as well! I have a vailed chameleon and she's two yrs I believe and she came w her best bud the water dragon who's also abt 2 or 3. And my beardie is prob like 8-9 months.. But I'm selling him tomorrow.. :( ugh I will miss him dearly. Ur cham looks like mine but way younger :)

  • Friends, Jungle friends!

  • @ACrowley1878 Football Friends!

  • he has a nub lol

  • holy fuck dude i have that same ring ha

  • Fucking cool bro right now I am in a sticky situation and trying to figure out what the hell I am going to do about my new CWD sub-adult he is tame and I Traded him for my baby savannah monitor that was giving me problems by not being a good eater and stuff so I rehomed him and the breeder gave me a Chinese water dragon. IDK why he didn't offer me a beardy. It would of had fun in my 55gallon-80 gallon tank that I bought. Now I have to make a custom or buy an expensive cage for him.

  • @sniperspikes thank you ! I have always thought that chameleon's are one of the coolest reptiles but when i found out that they couldn't be held I didnt really think of them the same way :$ But thiis changes my opinion on them again ! lool.

  • @199619980525jj lol, some other peoples opinions may be different, but it is fine along as they are not scared or stressed throughout any time in their lives. They are just very fragile creatures, in more ways than one. :)

  • i thought that chameleon's are not supposed to be touched by humans as it shortens their life span :/

  • @199619980525jj you are right in a way. in the same way as humans, stressful lives will cause shorter life spans, but if they are calm when they are out, there shouldn't be much problem. chameleons are supposed to be left alone, but handling them every so often would be ok.

  • @sniperspikes Yo thats a beatifull beardie u got but what happend to it's tail?

  • @BranFlakes7st thanks, it was bitten off by another beardie when it was a baby

  • does the chemelon get along with beardie?

  • @molly101390 i never put them together. my chameleon didnt like them, and he was so small and fragile that i wouldnt risk it.

  • @sniperspikes i have a really important. i mihgt get a chameleon and is this aloud? put a screen cage outside in a patio in the shade with a heat lamp?

  • @molly101390 i wouldnt know. i cant really give an answer on that, sorry. That would be one to ask reptileforums . c o . u k

  • @sniperspikes its ok i am trying to find answers online but i cant find much

  • @molly101390 if you make your own thread on RFUK, you are bound to get a reply. :)

  • @sniperspikes does the water dragon ever bite and does feeding get expencive

  • @reptilekeepsforpeeps never bitten or tried to bite me. they should eat around 2-3 tubs of crickets a week, but my CWD stopped eating properly last year, and he is just started eating again. they are very stubborn.

  • I created a site, showmyreptile com, where you can upload pics, videos, start discussions, chat w/ other members, and start groups. Looking for members, would love for you to join. Thanks!

  • gahhh i dont know what to get... if you could help me that would be REALLY great. first of all, i was planning on getting around a 40-48 inch length tank, 12-15 inches wide and im not sure about height, which i think i can afford. One thing that i love doing is handling the reptiles, just because i think its really cool :) so i want them to be somewhat active... but at the same time not crazy and skittish like most of the CWD i have seen.. could you plase help!! THANKS!

  • @fsxaviator hi. Well have you made your mind up that you want a CWD? or are you asking what kind of lizard to get also? if so, the most important things for the viv ofcourse is hight and length, and alot of branches to climb. my CWD was never skittish, from day one i was able to pick him up and he would stay there for about 10 minutes. all i can say is, make sure they are handled alot when they are young, and let them run around the room once in a while. Feel free to ask more questions.

  • Hey I have 2 CWD that's about 6 month old in a home-made terrium that's about 4ft H, 2ft L, 1ft W and I was wondering if I could add a chamelon that's about the same size as the dragons in the same terrium. Thanks

  • @Ghett0gangsta215 Its not a good idea. Its a totally different type of lizard, they will not get along for starters, the water dragons will probably kill it. but chameleons are slow and fragile, and if a massive water dragon jumps on it from above i doubt the chameleon will have much chance of getting out the way. also i think that viv is too small for two water dragons anyway. let alone adding a chameleon. I hope i dont sound too aggressive, but i dont know why people are asking this question.

  • Well i mean that when i first got him his color was bright green but now he is much darker

  • @Ogureks yeah they will get darker as they get older, theres nothing wrong if thats what youre wondering. and if your water dragon is a male, he will soon start growing spikes on his back and tail.

  • what does it mean why my cwd is black green ?

  • @Ogureks what do you mean?

  • Thanks for the reply :P i got an another question in what terrarium do you keep your Chinese water dragon can i keep my in 90 x 45 x 60 cm terrarium or is it to small ? Im planing to make a cheap terrarium cos i have no money but i dont know how to build one and 90 x 45 x 60 cm terrarium cost £196.19

  • @Ogureks thats ok. well that is very small. it would probably do for a month or two but you would be wasting your money. the smallest should be atleast 3.5ft high 3ft wide and 1.5 ft depth. but really thats as small as you can go. the size you said would be fine for a chameleon, but not a water dragon. if you cant afford to buy one im sure there are plenty of videos on how to build one.

  • hi nice pets ;d i got a water dragon and i want the same chameleon like you got do you keep them together and what size of terrarium btw nice video

  • @Ogureks hi, thanks, never keep lizards together, you would be asking for trouble. my reptile is a yemen chameleon. the viv is about 3 foot by 1.5 foot by 1.5 foot. feel free to ask more :) im no expert but ill try to help

  • CWD for the win!

  • can someone tell me about the bearded dragons and chinese water dragons? i have a chameleon and yesterday he hissed at me but i tamed him. anyways can you tell me what i should get first out of these two dragons? i would much appreciate it thank you -from TheLifeSource

  • @TheLifeSource bearded dragon definetely!

  • @sniperspikes i probably will, but why do you say bearded dragons? thanks again.

  • @TheLifeSource personal experience. they are better to handle, more interesting characters. where as water dragons would rather climb on your head than sit on your lap, they are very stubborn. mine only eats pinkies and meal worms now. plus i think they are a bit dumb, jumping at the window when its closed. unfortunately my beardie died about a year ago and although its mean, i would honestly say i would give rid of all the others just to get my beardie back. hope this helped

  • @sniperspikes :( im sorry that your beardy died. thats some tuff stuff. Anyways. Oh i see what your saying. i got my chameleon for a few reasons. 1. for a displayable pet. 2. to teach me responsiblity. but now i want something that i can hold and have fun with. i have seen beardy vids on youtube and besides the (black beard part) they seem funny and cool as hell! im sorry but i have one last Question. What should i do with it when i get one and which sex should i get? male or female?

  • @TheLifeSource ask as many questions as you like and ill try to help :). if they get a black beard they can still be handled although some people may say to leave them to calm down, i always found mine calmed down after i held her anyway. she was very tame though. as for sex, females lay eggs even when not fertilised, my beardie died after laying hers. ive heard males are alot easier to look after although they can be a bit moody but that gives them character haha. good luck :D

  • @sniperspikes hahaha thanks bro i appreicate all the advice man i really do. I am going to a bunch of pet stores tomorrow to see mabye if i change my mind about the dragon and get a gecko or like more supplies for my chameleon or get a beardy :) haha ya know. and again thank you so much this will help me for tomorrow :)

  • @TheLifeSource lol i know what its like. have fun :)

  • @sniperspikes Thanks i will :)

  • @sniperspikes hey man thanks for alll the advice! :) yesterday i went to petland (a local pet store) and got a female bearded dragon and she is 4-5 moths old and shes beautful! i wil post vids of her soon and hopefully i can get you to watch them :)

  • @TheLifeSource awesome. i bet shes great. id like to see some vids

  • omg stearing contest Lol

  • i had reptiles when i was really really young, but i wanted to start back up again. i really want a chameleon, but i dont know if id be able to handle them properly. in my mind i say that i want 1 enough that i would like it, but should i start with something else first? i know that chameleons arent very friendly, but i dont want something as big as a bearded dragon running around my house. i have cats and stuff 2. chameleons are slow moving and i think my kind of pet. plz message me thx

  • @BertramAllMighty7 i would definetly say bearded dragons are easier to look after, and i personally think they are great pets. water dragons are stubborn and irritating. and chameleons dont show any signs that they like to be looked after.

  • @sniperspikes but are chameleons that hard to take care of? if i could get away with getting a chameleon, that would be great, but if i know there gonna die on my im not gonna get 1. what do u think?

  • @BertramAllMighty7 no they arent hard to take care of, just not as easy as beardies. costs a bit extra for branches and fake plants though. if you really want a chameleon then go for it :) lol. as you already know, they arnt the best animals in the world to handle, youve got nothing to loose.

  • @BertramAllMighty7 i would get a savanaah monitor or a geco

  • @BertramAllMighty7 hey i dont know if you made your decision bro but i honestly would say get the chameleon first. they are easy to take care of if you do it properly. if u have any questions about chameleons, send me a message or inbox me.

  • loving your Chinese water dragon and chameleon man mine is about 17 inches long now and he has a harness so i can take him for walks around the Garden. it is reptile friendly too.

  • @jackasshomemade100 haha thats awesome.

  • What happened to the beardie's tail ? Did part of it break off?

  • @acehockeyplayer bitten off when was a baby. when baby dragons are in too long together they think their tails are food and bite them.. bought mine with the tail like this.

  • What will you suggest a bearded dragon or a chamelon ( I'm a beggener and bad at spelling.

  • @acehockeyplayer bearded dragon, no contest. especially as a beginner. chameleons are not really suposed to be handled but you can once they are used to it, bearded dragons are by far the best the handle. and in certain areas i would say a little easier to look after too.

  • @sniperspikes Ok i am getting the tank for him tomorrow.

  • @acehockeyplayer awesome, hope your experience was as good as mine :)

  • hey man, im thinking of getting a chameleon, and i already have a water dragon, ill have a big cage, im just wondering, if i get a small chameleon, will my water dragon eat it? my friends water dragon (not much bigger than mine) ate a green anole. so im kinda worried.

  • @urmomismexican you shouldnt put them in the same viv anyway. dont put any lizards together, unless they are of same breed and get along well, just to be on safe side. spend £100 on a decent viv (around 3' high x 2' deep x 2' wide.) for your chameleon and it will be fine.

  • omg those are beautifull reptiles ya got there :D wat species is that chameleon? looks really cool :D

  • @dannycheijjj thanks, hes a yemen chameleon. unfortunately my bearded dragon died due to an infection after laying her first ever batch of eggs. i took her to the vet and the operation went well to remove the infection, but she just didnt wake up from the anaesthetic.

  • @sniperspikes omg :'( that is so sad to hear :( i hope your fine now , that bearded dragon looked full of life ;(

  • @dannycheijjj yeah she was, i would have given anything to get her back. :(

  • @dannycheijjj :( you going to hatch them eggs tho? :o hopefully if you do you'll see what she left you after she died probaly what she wanted ya to see :(] i might get a bearded dragon :D n'yways im going to sup to ya :D

  • can u put Chameleons and dragons in the same tank? cheers james

  • @proudtobeatim88 NO NO NO. Definitely not mate. for one, the dragons could get aggressive and kill the chameleon. and for two, chameleons get stressed easily and as you can see in this video, my chameleon does not like the dragons and if they were together the chameleon would probably die from stress anyway. i personally wouldn't mix any species in the same viv.

  • i admire you for putting a chinese water dragon and a bearded dragon togather no one will do it

  • i remember the very first time i did it, one of them jumped and because i knew how bad it could potentially be i jumped too and pulled them away. but the next day i tried again and my water dragon just jumped straight on my beardies back. and he didnt do anything. theyre absolutely fine together :D

  • @lizardwallet I put a water dragon n a tree dragon together n ever since that the tree dragon sleeps on top of the water dragon

  • please please please!!!! can u do a vid on your chameleon!!!

  • @raptorpack2409

yeah ill see if i can get one tomurrow for you :)

  • @sniperspikes thanx

  • @raptorpack2409 I will make a vid of my Chameleon if you want me to.

  • thanks I cant wait till I can get mine!!!

  • thanx

  • @raptorpack2409 if you hang on im actually uploading it now lol

  • im getting a chameleon and would u recommend them???

  • hi, i would reccomend them yes. they are differnt from other lizards and you need to be carefull when handling them when they are young, as their bones are so small they could break easily if you pull them off of what they are holding on to.

it is best if you leave them for the first day to settle in, but after the first day make sure you handle them regularly so they get used to you.

  • my chamelion is fine with me but if my mum puts her hands anywhere near the viv, the chameleon will hiss and open his mouth wide.

but saying that, if i got him out and passed him to my mum he would be fine, he just doesnt like anyone but me going into his territory.

make sure you give calcium powder every day when they are growing too, missing a day wont do any harm but it just helps the bones get stronger.

if you have any more questions then feel free to ask. :)

    Ash

  • how is your water dragon so tame my sits there for me then springs away

  • @GuitarKid905

:P they are all tame, my water dragon is really fast though and sometimes he likes to run around my room.

i can easily pick him up and he will sit there though.

  • klkl that was gd :D
