@U2berox - He is suing Joel in NYC Supreme Court - go to - google and type in new york city supreme court - its on 60 centre street - click on courts - - then click on ecourts - then go to WEB CIVIL SUPREME - then authenticate by entering the word they tell u to enter - the under Plaintiff enter LIBERTY DEVITO - the lawsuit will come up and u can even read the summons and complaint

As a 1.5 generation Cuban, (i.e., born in Cuba, raised in the US), it is quite a tribute that someone at the stature of Billy Joel found it "inspiring" to write about "Cuban eyes" and Cuban women...KUDOS!

I was a little kid in a rural town in Japan.

His songs had such a great impact to make me believe life is wonderful. I did not understand the lyrics at all, though.

I agree on the rythm section. They're very good. Although this version of the song is a demo, it is very pure and as good as the album version.

Liberty Devito and the late Doug Stegmeyer were the perfect rhythm section, sadly overlooked, perhaps (due to recent events w/ Liberty) even by Billy himself. :(
