This film doesn't tell the story like it really happened. Yes, the nation turned against Malcolm but they didn't kill him. And why on Earth do the pyramids feature in the pilgrimmage part of this movie?! The pyramids have nothing whatsoever to do with the holy pilgrimmage. The film doesn't distinguish at all the massive difference between Malcolms former beliefs in the Nation and those he held later on as an authentic Muslim. This film doesn't tell the story like it really happened. Yes, the nation turned against Malcolm but they didn't kill him. And why on Earth do the pyramids feature in the pilgrimmage part of this movie?! The pyramids have nothing whatsoever to do with the holy pilgrimmage. The film doesn't distinguish at all the massive difference between Malcolms former beliefs in the Nation and those he held later on as an authentic Muslim. This transition is massively played down here.

Even though I am white I can see that this man was a true hero. He gave his life for the causes of liberty, justice, and human dignity. Lots of people preach these values but few live them. He did and that is what makes him a hero to me. Also I feel that I need to be aware of the ways I perpetuate white privilege and racism and to change my ways and the ways of other whites. I hope in my own small way I can honor this great man.
