  • bilion zlotych.... to ile to bedzie na nowe? :DDDDDD

  • Sabotage

  • Był najwyższy, jest najdłuższy :)

  • ja bym tam za nic

  • Poda ktoś tytuł jingla z 7:50 bo mi z głowy wyleciał... ;/

  • oj szkoda szkoda chciałbym tam wejsc

  • Straty: bilion złotych. O k***a!

  • Yes, for long time it was the highest construction of the minekind. Currently Burj Dubai Tower is largest, and even larger than this.

  • that thing was damn huge! damn that dubai tower i hate it so much, not a proper piece of arcitechture at all! this tower is whats right!

  • One day it's there. Next day, you wake up, and it's lying in a field.

    Total surrealism...

  • Poland had the Highest construction i the worl ... had :(

  • they didn't get the actual collapse on video? that is the ultimate crime. they should have done a year in prison for that crime alone.

  • Doesnt look very stable...

  • @GBooneoh it collapsed in '91 lol

  • and they let it fall when they were unable to work on it not like retards.

  • I want to see a 1000 meter; 1 Kilometer radio tower; for what purpose I don't know; maybe to be a full wave antenna radiator.

  • ...it collapsed

  • it' was just a radio tower... i mean it was a significant record.. but much easier to build than a skycraper for example

  • yep but ther is one difference - skyscraper can stand but it's self, but masts are supported with guy-wires, so the maintenance is more difficult

  • świetny film o niegdyś najwyższej budowli na świecie.... brawo Mera Tronik

  • i'm very proud that our brotherland Poland had a tallest structure ever built. it's very uncool that it collapsed. And it's very interesting because it's not so well known. It was a masterpiece of engineering.

  • My Slovenian brother, we not only managed to build the biggest structure in the world (and it was ages ago, before Dubai and China development). We also somehow managed to destroy it... This says a lot about us, polish people. Our country didn't exist in the 19th century for actually more than 100 yrs but our language and culture survived. well, this is the way we are.

  • ah, don't worry, it's important that you survived

    dziekuju

  • TMACMVPO7, right you are. I thought the whole mast collapsed, but it was only the top half because of the guy wire exchange. I guess that repairing the top half would've been to difficult and expensive, so they took the rest of the mast down. Too bad.

Does anybody know what year this footage was filmed?

  • The whole mast collapsed at once. Top section after fracture hit the base of mast(one of the first sections).Heavily loaded framework constructions are very vulnerable for any kind of mechanical damage.

  • I don't know the exact date but in this doc engineer said that the mast was working 15 years already, so built in 1974 + 15 yrs = 1989.

  • They were trying to replace a guy wire on the highest section of the mast, and the workers made mistake. The mast bent because of lack of support, then broke in half and collapsed. It's on Wikipedia, look it up.

  • Wow, the Warzaw Radio Mast in Poland was impressive at 2120 ft. I didn't realize it collapsed during construction in 1991. Does anybody know what was being repaired on the tower and what caused it's collapse? Even though the radio mast no longer exists, it's still remembered as the tallest man-made structure ever built.

Even though the Warsaw Radio Mast doesn't exist anymore, it's still recognized and remembered as the world's tallest man made structure ever built. Interesting footage though. I had no idea that footage of the mast ever existed.

  • I am trying to figure out how these things are constructed..anyone got any straightforward links?

  • Szkoda ;-/ ;-/ ;-/

  • Cudo!

Dokładnie tylko jedno mi do głowy przychodzi : Cholera szkoda :(

  • Is there a film of the mast's collapse in existence? Unlikely, I suppose

  • Polak zbudował .

    Polak zniszczył :(

Debile najwyższy maszt na świecie rozwalili :|

Zamiast konserwować przewrócili 600 metra żelastwa :|

  • Cholera szkoda takiego masztu...

  • Fantastic video!!!

However it is a pitty that the picture quality of the video is sometimes poor, but this is youtube's fault!
