  • Hey when I searched sqlite edition on the market I can't find. All I can find is sqlite editor for $2.99

  • @zzmomo73 As it says in the video annotations.. SQLite Edition is no longer free. You can use asqlitemanager the same way. It is free.

  • Whats does he mean by ur phone must be rooted?

  • @crazymonkeyy509 Because Android is basically Linux, rooting your phone means giving yourself Root user, or superuser. You have to have this to change this setting. There are TONS of videos and tutorials online if you just search "How to root Samsung Galaxy S Captivate" Then come back to this video to allow third party installation. :D

  • nvm i got it thx man

  • hey everything was working great untill i clicked the "browes sd card" then the settings db wasnt there help?

  • thanx alot

  • Thx

  • DAMN IT. I LOVE YOU. I wasted like 3 hours trying other methods. thanks a bunch man

  • Thank you dude so much!! It works!!

  • @MexeR03 I GOT ASHELL HOW DO I DO IT

  • Sorry guys, when I originally posted this video SQLite was free. It no longer is. You can use asqlitemanager.

  • Thank You.

  • everybody looking for a free version of sqlite use asqlitemanager

  • yea dude... but you cant get to the "secure screen"

  • is there another free app because sqlite is not free ..

  • what does rooted mean

  • I cant find the app on the market

  • I did exactly what you said and even restarted my Phone like 3 times but when I try do download a wifi tether app it still says "For security, your phone is set to block installation of applications not sourced in Android Market." Please help me I really need this application. Thank You so much.

  • keeps telling me some bullcrap about failed to update file could not be updated file begin exclusive

  • please tell me an alternative to sqlite.. i NEED this pleeaassseeee

  • Ignore previous post, I simply reboot my phone and it works.

  • @aksmike Glad to hear it works :} Sorry I wasn't able to respond at the time.

  • I've followed your instructions..downloaded both SQLite and Root explorer. My Samsung captivate (AT&T) is rooted. The initial instructions did not work, so I followed your posted instructions to @Accelerator. It still did not work. I can confirm that I have changed the settings in folder /dbdata/databases/com.android.providers.settings.db install non market app from 0 to 1. Can you help me correct anything I have missed or need to do? I am trying to download the amazon app store app

  • after you change the settings restart the phone, it would work.

  • This has got to be the simplest way ever

  • sqlite is not free

  • My phone IS rooted, but I do not see the settings part you're talking about on that list.. Any suggestions?

  • @Accelerator12 There's one other location you can check for the database file. Install the app Root Explorer if you don't already have it. Open it up and inside find the folder dbdata, inside there select the folder databases, then the folder com.android.providers.settings. The settings.db file should be inside there. :)
