If the final two had come down to Hulk and Macho, it would have been awesome to see Hulk get eliminated cleanly - that would have made a legendary/memorable event but all this "hogan can never lose fairly" is ridiculous - same with Cena now.
@TheDragonCult There's a difference in never losing clean and never jobbing. In Hogan's entire WWF run from 84-93....9 years, he jobbed only three times....once to the Warrior, once to The Undertaker and once to Yokozuna. Cena's been around 9 years now and he's been defeated by Edge, Orton, Batista, Carlito, etc.
Nobody will ever come close to being as bad as Hogan in terms of not passing the torch or stealing someone elses moment. This is twice now that he's interrupted a Savage title win.
@ElWiiTard Hogan is so full of himself and how he books his character. He put himself into Macho's Wrestlemania 4 title win and stole the spotlight. He stole the spotlight from Macho at Rumble 1989. He couldn't stand to get eliminated at Ric Flair's 1992 Rumble and at this World War 3 match and tainted Macho's win. Hulk turned on him at Bash 1996 and beat him at Halloween Havoc. Hulk was always careful not to let Macho get ahead at all.

@ElWiiTard True. People keep saying that that was the biggest heel turn ever. Bullshit. Like he had any other choice, after fucking things up like he did here. WCW crowd never even liked him, at first because he was so connected to WWF, and later because of the way he handled booking WCW. He just needs to win everything himself - for example this freak out was real, an actual out-of-character-moment. Just because he didn't win the title, even if he was supposed to. That's really fucked up.
Hogan can't book. He was well on his way to destroy WWF in '94, but Vince was smart enough to fire him. Then Hogan did destroy WCW, because Russo fired him too damn late. Then he took short tour at WWE, beating future stars like Orton, and now look what he's done to TNA. Please, oh please, do not continue Hulk's contract. It's only one year, so it should be over soon. Keep Flair, but let Hogan go!!!

Its become so obvious over the last ten years with the wrestlers all telling stories, seeing this kind of stuff (and Royal Rumble 89), Hulk Hogan just could not even accept a scripted loss. He had to lose with "controversy" every time. Warrior said in 03 that guys like Hogan and Flair need to let the other wrestlers catch a break, get a push, and develop "new" stars.

and notice i keep calling you son. its cuz i don't live in my moms basement i live in your moms bed....
damn now you got me being as fucking stupid as you talkin bout ppls moms.
hogan went under the bottem rope and when the reffere sees the fotige he will give hogan back the title or they will have another match and hulkamania willstill live and it will live for ever : D
So was this a shoot? I mean was this scripted? I mean, it sounds like the kind of angle he would arrange, with his influence and all, so its possible, or was it unplanned?
Hogan was able to write his own script he chose if he won or loss and he kept himself on top A card that was said from Eric Bishoff himself and WCW fans didn't like it.Ok Hulk lover asshole
W C W hand a handfull of fans before Hogan went there. Ratings went up after and even higher when he went Hollywood. All promotions do shit fans dont like. It doesnt put them out of business. if it did HHH would have killed WWE long ago. WCW was losing money for years and Turners new partners and investors put a stop to it.
No whne turner merged with AOl I think it was. They didn;t want wrestling or anything to do with wrestling. That is why WCW was sold off. And honestly sucked that McMahon ended up with it instead of Bischoff.
He's in the wrestling observer HOF, which is a lot more credible than the WWE HOF anyway. The Observer don't have Pete Rose in their HOF. For the record Savage is not in there because a few years back he said in a shoot interview that he nailed Stephanie McMahon when she was underage
Christ, people...why are we arguing about wins/losses? You sound like the winners and the endings aren't planned. Look, Hulk Hogan is the BIGGEST name in wrestling. He is a marketing dream and the organizations have used him as such. He truly is a legend and, with VInce McMahon as well, made professional wrestling way more popular than it ever used to be.
And on top of it, how many times did he lose when he came back to the WWE in '02? He lost to The Rock twice , Triple H, Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, The Undertaker, and the Big Show pinned him when he was Mr. America. The only people who he has beaten are CLEANLY are Mr. McMahon (who cares), Michaels (old, who cares), and Orton (who sucks). So his record is like 3-7 the past seven years.... What do you people want?
Oh my GOD! Hogan was getting ten minute standing ovations every time he was on tv. OF COARSE they gave him the belt!
Hogan didn't pin Triple H cleanly, the Undertaker hit Triple H with a chair. Plus, Billy & Chuck were a rag tag, thrown together tag team that no one gave a damn about.
What the hell are you Hogan bashers talking about? You people are so ignorant. First of all, Hogan "crying" after he "lost" to the "the warrior" was just him acting. Second of all, as far as him rarely losing goes:
1. He doesn't lose very often because he's the most popular wrestler ever and companies make an ass load of money when he's on top.
2. When asked to lose to people, ha ALWAYS does! He volunteered to drop the belt to Goldberg in WCW & he lost to Kidman for Christ's sake.
He had to lose to Goldberg. He was becoming bigger than Hogan. Even when he lost to Sting at Starcade, he couldnt do it straight. It had to be the whole bret hart thing. It ruined 2 years of good work from WCW.
The Kidman job was just so he could say - Look! I even jobbed to Kidman.
He did not have to! He was practically calling the shots in WCW and he made the decision to drop the belt to Goldberg. As for him not letting Sting pin him cleanly, that was Nick Patrick's fault. Patrick was a heel referee and he was supposed to give a really fast count, but he screwed it up.
Just wanted to say...even though he lost to Kidman...he made Kidman look so awful that it didn't matter who won the match, after his feud with Hogan the young Billy Kidman was seen as lost potential.
damn kid, i'm not the only one who was getting on hogan lol. you don't even know me but you wanna get on the kid, thats envy boi. everybody who knows me wants to be like me 2
Hogan never wants anyone else to be champion, he always wants everything. he cried when warrior beat him at wm6. if he lost to austin i bet he would whine about that to
i have this on tape, i wish savage could be in the hof for the 25th annual wrestlemania. it will mark 20 years since the megapowers exploded at wrestlemania 5
How the hell did Hogan kill WCW? WCW was nothing until Hogan came in and formed the NWO. Bischoff made poor decisions by running with the NWO for too long and not making any new stars. Some of you may be blind, but wrestling would be nothing like it is today without Hulk Hogan.
The Rise and Fall of WCW DVD is a prime example of WWE rewriting history. ask anyone who watched WCW and they will tell you the worst booking was between the Russo eras which WWE doesn't mention because those Bookers were Kevin Sullivan and DUsty Rhodes both who bash people who aren't allowed to answer on the DVD (Nash, Jarrett, and Russo)
Yes, this was World War 95. One year later the Giant won. But can you tell me something. Sometimes the event is called War of the World Superstars. Why that?
goes to show how disfunctional wcw was back then..in the 93 royal rumble luger and bret hart had almost the same situation...and they settled it right then and there..they didnt put it off another 24 hrs..what a waste of money it was for whoever bought this ppv..i agree with the guy below who said about the hell turn but i also agree witht the person who put this video up...worst ending ever!!!!!

So was this a shoot? I mean was this scripted? I mean, it sounds like the kind of angle he would arrange, with his influence and all, so its possible, or was it unplanned?
brocky70 3 years ago
If you actully watch, the fans are leaving and dont give a shit.

can't believe they had fans after this

Sad but true, this is probably how Hogan is in real life. A crybaby, a sore loser, won't let anyone get above him...

Why WCW is gone Hulk Hogan was one of WCWs mistakes and tell me why Macho Man is not in the WWE hall of fame?
DoZeR12367 3 years ago
He's not in the HoF because Vince doesn't like him and will never work with him again. At least that's what he's said before.
TJDruiden 3 years ago
Yeah that's true but he didn't like Bret Hart either but he worked with him after the Montreal screw job.
DoZeR12367 3 years ago
Hogan didnt kill WCW. Only an idiot would say that
frednichols 3 years ago
Hogan was able to write his own script he chose if he won or loss and he kept himself on top A card that was said from Eric Bishoff himself and WCW fans didn't like it.Ok Hulk lover asshole
DoZeR12367 3 years ago
W C W hand a handfull of fans before Hogan went there. Ratings went up after and even higher when he went Hollywood. All promotions do shit fans dont like. It doesnt put them out of business. if it did HHH would have killed WWE long ago. WCW was losing money for years and Turners new partners and investors put a stop to it.
frednichols 3 years ago
No whne turner merged with AOl I think it was. They didn;t want wrestling or anything to do with wrestling. That is why WCW was sold off. And honestly sucked that McMahon ended up with it instead of Bischoff.
larosenoire1 3 years ago
Yea why isn't savage in the HOF
DBZmegafan99 3 years ago
He's in the wrestling observer HOF, which is a lot more credible than the WWE HOF anyway. The Observer don't have Pete Rose in their HOF. For the record Savage is not in there because a few years back he said in a shoot interview that he nailed Stephanie McMahon when she was underage

Its bad scripted bad, but if Savage would throw the belt a 4min, and left the arena it would be funny...
It would be great if Savage would the throw the title and left, simple.
If Hogan needs a belt, give the baby what he needs.
Is he Man or Cry Baby???
Everytime there is a controversy angle, can't he drop the belt for others in a fair way?
Best thing is, he wasn't even the title holder this time.
His ego must be weird huge...
WWF/E and WCW kissed Hogans Ass all the time!!!

This is pretty bad indeed.Savage was always alot cooler in my book than Hogan though and I def prefer him as champion.

What do you people want?
austinjernigan 3 years ago 5
hogan beat triple h at backlash 2002 for the undisputed title and won the tag titles with edge.
reechingout2yoo 3 years ago
You people are brain dead.
BigJohnStud118 3 years ago 3
What the hell are you Hogan bashers talking about? You people are so ignorant. First of all, Hogan "crying" after he "lost" to the "the warrior" was just him acting. Second of all, as far as him rarely losing goes:
1. He doesn't lose very often because he's the most popular wrestler ever and companies make an ass load of money when he's on top.
2. When asked to lose to people, ha ALWAYS does! He volunteered to drop the belt to Goldberg in WCW & he lost to Kidman for Christ's sake.
BigJohnStud118 3 years ago 3

He had to lose to Goldberg. He was becoming bigger than Hogan. Even when he lost to Sting at Starcade, he couldnt do it straight. It had to be the whole bret hart thing. It ruined 2 years of good work from WCW.
The Kidman job was just so he could say - Look! I even jobbed to Kidman.
gollick 3 years ago
He did not have to! He was practically calling the shots in WCW and he made the decision to drop the belt to Goldberg. As for him not letting Sting pin him cleanly, that was Nick Patrick's fault. Patrick was a heel referee and he was supposed to give a really fast count, but he screwed it up.
BigJohnStud118 3 years ago 4
Just wanted to say...even though he lost to Kidman...he made Kidman look so awful that it didn't matter who won the match, after his feud with Hogan the young Billy Kidman was seen as lost potential.

Let's smark together. Savage rules, Hogan drools. The Macho Man was always the better champion.

Macho Man never drew nearly half the amount of money as Hogan did.
They tried to run with Macho as the champ in WWE but Hogan was still the bigger star.
