@smarty358 If I was being elitist, I would say that COB is metalcore and that Alexi sounds like a mix between Dani Filth and the singer of BFMV. Of course my opinions won't influence anyone, that's why they're called opinions. I only use Kalmah to compare with COB solely due to the fact that Kalmah has not released a SINGLE bad album

Everyone gets butthurt too easily when determining what a band sounds like. To me it's just music. I don't think CoB is Generic rubbish because they blow plenty of bands out of the fuckin water. This band is cool too though. Reminds me a lot of Persefone, but thats IMO.

I also have to agree with "talethatwasntright" Inflames is meh and Dark Tranquility are too. If they we're anything amazing I would like them by now.

then i suggest you look @ amon amarth. They are melodeath with viking theme'd lyrics and a bit of sound. They sound alot like folksmetal but in interviews they say they are melodic deathmetal :)

Yeh the band isn't from Japan, It's from Finland. Which really doesnt surprise me, cos it sounds lot like scandinavian melo death with japanese folk music influence. That's probably the reason why you all combare it to bodom. I don't get the point to compare bands either, it's kinda hard to make somethng which isn't done yet. These guys did something new so be happy with it

Wow out of all the bands that people say sound like Children of bodom, this one takes the cake, the same style of play and the structure of the song sounds like something Alexi and Janne would write. That's really no big surprise seeing that Bodom is very influential over in Japan, so Dream Theater

I think it definately is good. Even if it is in the same genre as CoB and Norther that's fine with me. But yeh in a way the Japanese influence seems out of place. I really don't think that matters though. I'm happy as hell this band exists and it sounds damn good. Very rad choruses. Very good quality.

I really do hate how people compare every band with cob, why not some of the originals of m.d.m like original inflames, or even dark tranquility. OR is is that those bands are in a league of their own and cant be compared to thus you pick the generic rubbish too compare it to. In which case are you calling this new band good but somewhat generic.

There will always be comparison between well know bands and new bands!

I prefer bands which are not well know cuz when they are getting famous -> I stop listening them!:) but Its probably my personal problem :D
